I am convinced that's what really carried the movies especially later on in the series -

My friend showed me how amazing she is. I find it weird I never heard of her until fairly recently. -

That's fine and I actually might (especially since my worldview and epistemology has radically changed on the subject). I actually do think you're onto something that the holidays are a bit of a mishmash when it comes to co-opting. I am Lutheran so I am not a fan of the Roman church but logistically I can see the statement of Christmas = Yule more sensible than Christmas = Saturnalia which is a the modern day shift I've seen. I am also more stating on how Yahweh isn't actually pagan in general which to me is facts based and you can never convince me He is actually a co-opted pagan god. On a far seperate note: This is how I feel when I debate zoomers online. -

Atlanta is like the Borg I noticed even if one star falls they can replace them easily. That's how they won the WS in '21 -

InspiringPhilosophy, a Christian has actually done a lot of videos dealing with claims that Yahweh was a Pagan clone or not. Not trying to kick a hornet's nest but I think a lot of people tend only follow the trail on one side and not the other and then find the other side as zoomers dismissively as "cope". I was one of those teens just using different terms so if you want look at his defenses on this and I think you will get a more balanced views, especially since a lot of Christians weirdly say pagan influences on holidays exist when they didn't -

Funny how this song is more theologically sound than probably 95% of Christian Contemperary Music -
This season is already interesting since every star player is out it seems so All-Star Voting is going to be wonky. I genuinely think Profar is going to be an All-Star this year based solely on that. Also man the prospects are crashing and burning. Cringes in Baltimore's direction

You are oh so correct and thank you. As a newcomer to the forum I didn't want to create a new thread before grasping the thread cycle it seemed to have. Which is fine.

Voted for my All-Stars. MLB is weird since all the stars are injured but my WNBA votes are fire and consistent *stares at Stefanie Dolson jersey*

I noticed this tends to be an issue in many a show nowadays. -
Yeah I am gauging a lot of things. I know I do not want to go the YA route since that will always be an uphill. It's difficult due to that and Well as a kid I couldn't grasp Narnia but I know everybnody else could so the subjectivity is definately up in the air. Appreciate the advice, I really was burned out for years until recently

Correct, I think it also has a lot to do with just what parts of Ukraine Russia is wanting to annex. The Donbas is the Eastern European Ruhr in a way and Ukraine is a big country and very much the bread basket. So it's a tough balance, I don't think anybody wants it to last a decade. However Ukraine has objectively a lot more to lose.

I am going around maybe 11-16 or so. Though I think if the parents are reading it, 8 year olds can read it. Talking a lot about it with my friends who are parents on it. I am only writing it but I have a bunch of contacts for the illustrations. I am thinking it'll be more classic Winnie the Pooh where there weren't pictures on every page.

The What Are You Reading thread (now with a simpler name)

Re-reading Silent Mobius. Different than the anime, namely the ending but given it was cancelled it made sense. I have a hunch the mood whiplash of the anime will not be as severe in the manga. I am also planning on reading some Lloyd Alexander, shame he seems to have been remembered only for his film adaptation. -
Wow, buggy uninstalls and wiping takes me back when I thought Elf Bowling wiped your PC on Christmas as a kid.
