  1. I'm more interested in their progress on Master of Magic 2. They mentioned they were in talks with Atari to get the rights for the name, but they didn't say anything after that.
  2. I thought you where from cybertron Anyway you mean there are so few note worthy canadian, it make little since right? I mean after Neil Young, The Kids in the Hall, and that hot iceskater theres really not much to work with. Alanis Morissette, the guy who found out you could attract deer by covering yourself in there urine, Ben Johnson, and Martin Short where the only other ones to make the list. And ofcourse the guy who had to win it, Wayne Gretsky <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The top ten were 1 Tommy Douglas - Responsible for Canada's public health care 2 Terry Fox - Ran across half of canada with one leg for cancer research 3 Pierre Elliott Trudeau - Most popular canadian PM, added the bill of rights to the Canadian constitution, and signed the act that made Canada fully independant of Britain. Enacted the war measures act to crush domestic terrorist group, and is responsible for the Canadian national debt.. 4 Sir Frederick Banting - Discovered Insulin 5 David Suzuki - Environmentalist. 6 Lester B. Pearson - Responsible for Canada Pension Plan, National Labour Code, the Canadian flag, and he received the Nobel Piece Prize. 7 Don Cherry - TV Personality, the face of Canadian Hockey. 8 Sir John A. Macdonald - First Canadian PM, brought the maritime provinces and BC into confederation. 9 Alexander Graham Bell - Telephone. 10 Wayne Gretzky - So far, the greatest player in hockey history. Many people believe Sidney Crosby could be the next Gretzky. Alexander Graham Bell shouldn't really count because he was Scottish, but I guess just having citizenship counts. These are the other 90 on the top 100 http://www.cbc.ca/greatest/greatcanadians There are a lot of hockey players on that list, and several people don't deserve to be on it, let alone be as high on the list as they are, but thats the reason I thought it was a dumb idea. I mean Avril Lavigne the greatest canadian?!
  3. So me and my friends thought the Greatest Canadian competition was a really dumb idea, because there were so many great canadians and for different reasons that you can't really pick one(the one they did pic though was the guy who started our health care system) Does anyone here think the same of this greatest american thing?
  4. ... Anyway, in the spirit of your nominations, I nominated Nixon. And just a side note, I find it hilarious that they're copying the CBC.
  5. It art classes we were taught that when offering criticism, you tell the person what is crap, then tell them whats good, so they know whats wrong, without being discouraged. You don't just tell them they suck and leave it at that.
  6. you really are a d*ck, aren't you? i don't know if you're a liar or just ignorant. do you REALLY think many choose to be homeless? btw, this is one of my biggest issues with the right wing extremist. they don't give a f*ck about other people. if they're mentally ill, they should get help. not roam the streets... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Back in my hometown the visible homeless is 1 guy who walks around with bags with "Dead lesbian heads" "Lesbians are taking over the world" and "Stop Lesbian Opression" written on them, 1 guy who collects cigarette butts, and 4 teenagers who though it would be cool to live on the streets. Oh, and the guy who's a professional welder and chooses to not work unless he can get a job paying more than $45 an hour.
  7. I think you did best on the Orc because of the nose. The orc nose worked well with your style, while the human noses are too prominant. The hard straight lines for the bridge with the large nostrils stand out a little too much. Also, the eyes are too simple. With the orc, they were colored in so they weren't as noticable, with the rest, they're big white ovals. But you manage to pull off hands really well, I still can't do good hands.
  8. It looks like a cool movie, just a crappy adaption.
  9. it's a perfect excuse... lemme see, the artwork is better in BG from what i can see so far. the controls are better in BG from what i can see so far (FO is very choppy and the hex thing is killing me). combat in FO is horrid (sorry TB fans, but it sucks. toee was the first to do it right). in other words, BG is a more advanced game, and i played it first. it would be like playing HL2 first, then firing up Doom and trying to compare (not that extreme, but the analogy holds). it gets worse when you consider 1) i'm a fantasy fan and 2) i like magic, a direct result of 1). taks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Being your first is no excuse. Being a fantasy fan is on the other hand. Opinions are opinions, you like BG more, people should respect that.
  10. Civ3 Sims2 Sim City 4 Baldurs Gate 2 Fallout 2 Vampire Bloodlines Evil Genius Dawn of War Neverwinter Nights Planescape: Torment
  11. I take it English isn't your first language. Anyway the Valkyrie toys are the greatest transformer-type toys ever.
  12. He's american, lives in new york above a bowling alley I believe. At one point they were going to give him a big high tech car and give him brain cancer instead of lung cancer.
  13. no, communism is not a good system. it is not inherently evil in and of itself, but it does deny individual rights and, it does lie by convincing its people that "someday the government won't be needed." i'd say that makes it dishonest at best... taks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Communism doesn't have government. You're thinking socialism. Communism is just Anarchy with laws. A communist revolution calls for a socialist transitionary period, which is where communism fails. Here it is the government's job to prepare the population for communism, but the government at that point is usually corrupt and is just trying to hold on to its power.
  14. They should just design TVs to have NTSC and PAL modes, much like Widescreen TVs have a Fullscreen mode.
  15. Yeah, but they went and killed him. I was also pissed at the throwaway deaths of Terrasaur and Scorponok. 2 second clip at the beginning of the 2nd season. Lame.
  16. Bumblebee. Later became Goldbug. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Goldbug sucked. Bumblebee was so awesomely useless.
  17. I took this one a while ago, but it put me really far left, with a libertarian/authoritarian score close to 0.
  18. I do. First, removing SPECIAL from FO would just be......bad As for TB, could you picture Zelda going TB or Starcraft going TB? Thats the kind of change that we're talking about in my eyes. As for the perspective......it wouldn't be the worst thing if it went away from iso, but I'd prefer it didn't. I prefer that perspective for RPGs. If it went to FP or over the shoulder, it would be nice if the camera could zoom out for an iso perspective for combat. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> With the camera, as long as its 3rd person I'll be happy. Preferrably if they're not going with the zoomed out top down isometric, go with a NWN style movable camera. Preferrably without the limits the NWN camera had.
  19. Suikoden 3. I haven't wanted a game that bad in years. I was a tad disappointed that it wasn't as good as Suikoden 2, but I was satisfied that it was leagues ahead of Suikoden 1.
  20. Yeah, luckily I got it like 3 days before the patch came out that fixed the car. One thing that I find funny is that a lot of people credit Tim Cain for how awesome the Fallout games were. Yet he claims he's just a programmer. Bugs were the major downside of the fallout games, and all the games that come out of Troika. Programmers are responsible for bugs.... See where I'm going with this?
  21. Bring it. GI Joe is cool and all, but Snake Eyes is really the only cool one for the Joe side. Transformers are just cooler to look at. When it comes to the show, I prefer GI Joe. Though I do find it funny that 3 joes can take on 50 or 60 Cobra troops.
  22. Its already out here... and unfortunately I can't afford it Its apparently the worst one since S1 though. (Probably because they ditched the guys responsible for 2 and 3 and went back to the guys who made 1)
  23. Tritium is actually the fuel source, not the coolant, its a hydrogen isotope. And it is radioactive. (looked up the whole thing last night) It just has a half life of something like 12 years instead of thousands, its only harmful to humans in large quantities, and the reactors don't produce plutonium.
