  1. Today I joined the HD revolution and got myself a new TV. Impulse buy. Got a 46" Sharp Aquos. Very nice.
  2. Meet the Spartans was actually pretty funny which surprised the hell out of me.
  3. I was a bigger fan of Mitch Hedberg, and he died young rather than having a full life. Still a sad passing though.
  4. How do you get single arms? I've seen some of the maxis created beasties with one arm, but don't know how its done...
  5. Well, current list of games I'm looking foreward to is: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed NWN2: Storm if Zehir NWN2: Mysteries of Westgate Fable 2 Alpha Protocol Brutal Legend Spore Dragon Age
  6. Yeah, thats the disappointing part. And the pics they have of the various options don't really correspond to how they're applied, so you basically have to select all of them to see what they're like. If you buy the full version, doesn't that supposedly get you 5$ off the full game? It might be worth the 10$ to get all the options until the game comes out.
  7. Apparently the trial only has 1/4 the options. That looks about right from the number of locked things I've seen. But even with that I've managed to create a big 4 armed bipedal beastie, a big bug, a cute little feathered lizard, and a creepy 3 eyed 3 armed lizard thing.
  8. Got the trial version of the Spore creature creator(go bit torrent), and am now even more psyched for that. My only problem is that its not possible to create a creature that isn't cute in some way.
  9. More head models. More hair models. More weapon models. More armor models. Rework some tint maps so some of the cooler armor models can be recolored.
  10. Went to the midnight showing of Incredible Hulk. Marvel is two for two. Far better than the first one. Hulk's origin is actually pretty easy to tell in a 45 second montage, freeing up the rest of the movie for awesomeness.
  11. http://www.geocities.com/zhentar2003/toril_2.jpg Its a little better when viewed as a whole.
  12. Lawyer? Apparently law school is super easy, its actually trying to become a lawyer thats hard. Do you have a specialty or just a general law degree?
  13. I'd classify it as more of an action rpg than a full hack and slash, theres significantly more story and non-combat options than say Diablo, but not enough focus on non-combat options to call it a full RPG. Again, its a fun little romp, as long as you don't take it too seriously. So far with Fable 2 it looks like Molyneux is doing it right. Keeping tight lipped on the features until they're implemented so as to not overhype it.
  14. At the price its at now its worth it. Just don't buy into the hype. Its a fun, charming action RPG, but nothing groundbreaking.
  15. It's better than in San Andreas, but nothing can ever equal Vice City's soundtrack. I thought San Andreas was a lot better. I find most of the stuff here is very unmemorable. If thats even a word...
  16. does anyone else think this one has the weakest soundtrack since GTA 3? I find myself sticking it on the russian station most of the time because its the only one with more than one good song.
  17. It was sposed to be a real-time 4X game. Previews and such made it look kind of like Master of Orion and Homeworld combined. What we got was much less satisfying.
  18. Crackdown was almost good. If it had a story and mission structure it would have been awesome, but it gets old fast when your entire objective is to kill gang members and thats it.
  19. I wasn't a fan of the user interface. It was too big and not as intuitive as the EU3 interface. Doing several construction projects at once is a pain
  20. The man was a legend in his own time.
  21. Thats funny, the voice cast and music are generally the only thing people like about that Dragonlance movie. They were certainly the only things I praised. Last movie I saw was Apocalypto. Not bad, but he would have died horribly of infection and internal bleeding. Also: http://movies.ign.com/articles/863/863492p1.html IGN's april fools joke was rather awesome.
  22. Its annoying that there was like 50 of them, but only 2 or 3 were any good. I would have been much more satisfied if there had been like 20 and 10 of them were good.
  23. I think it was the master/slave settings. I was using one of those vantec removable hard drive racks so it was a pain in the ass to figure it out, but eventually I just unhooked my DVD drive that was attached as a slave and plugged the drive into that. Luckily I hadn't deleted my old windows installation on my old drive because with this drive hooked up, for some reason the PC couldn't detect the windows installation on my SATA drive.
  24. So I got a new one, and didn't even think to check the IDE ports. So while my old MB had two IDE ports, the new one only has one, so one of my hard drives and one of my DVD drives are unusable. At first I didn't think it was a problem since I got a nice new 500 GB SATA hard drive and my older DVD drive was giving me problems anyway. I figured I'd just install windows on the SATA drive, then copy all the stuff from one hard drive onto the SATA drive and toss the old one. Problem is, now when I try plugging in the 2nd drive it gives me an error message. Something like media read error, check cable. I tried replacing the old cable with the one that came with the Motherboard, but no success. Which sucks because thats the drive with all my music and other various downloads that I really want.
