Watched Transformers last night, was holding out so I could get the metal case at Future Shop, who ended up being sold out. Of all their copies. So I just grabbed the regular 2 disc version at Toys R Us, which came with a 5$ gift card, that apparently the cashier pocketed because it wasn't in the bag when I got home, but I saw the guy take it out and activate it. Then I spent 6 hours watching the movie with commentary and all the special features today. I thought it was funny that they didn't address the Devastator/Brawl screw up, and when talking about the character they pretty much were like "We have a tank character... ok next."

I tend to use serfdom until I get emancipation. And sometimes I even keep serfdom unless I'm using a financial civ. I just never could justify the drop in population to finish crap.

Well, I played some, its hard to keep track of what you do and when though... Anyway, the following things of note happened during my reign - Razed that Babylonian city, Brippa or whatever - Founded Port Avellone near Crossroad Keep - Built Heroic Epic in Peragus, also added a great general to the city to boost XP. - Some sort of horse quest was started, need to build 7 stables. We have 6 cities. - Began siege of Babylon, sending a steady flow of catapults, currently their defense is at 2%, and I razed their iron mine and some of their cottages. - Switched to Serfdom - Discovered Engineering and Feudalism Site of Port Avellone God_Emperor_Feargus_AD_0980.zip

Agreed. I think if they are going to keep the influence system, stop with the "Influence Gained" messages. Just put your influence level on the character sheet and leave it at that, then if you really want to know your influence level, you can find it, but it doesn't interrupt gameplay with numbers. As for releasing short games... The only game OBS has released that I consider short is MotB, which is an expansion. As a full game, its short. As an expansion, its long. MotB proves once and for all that OBS is capable of AAA quality titles.

This is the new design, by Alex Ross. I like some of it, but hate other parts. I can live with it. The gun indicates a more morally neutral Cap, which indicates either Winter Soldier, or someone new donning the mask.

I believe the two sides to the argument are 1) Scientists and hippies, who say greenhouse gases are hurting the environment so we should stop using everything that pollutes right now. and 2) Businessmen, who say limiting greenhouse gases will hurt their profits, and therefore they don't hurt the environment.

Maxis seems alive and well to me. The last 2 Sim City games were very good, and Sims 2 is hella fun. Looking forward to Spore. And Microprose has nothing to do with EA. Yeah, I think its funny that just laying in the middle of the road is like 1500 gold and a pair of magic boots, then you go and open a locked chest and find 500 gold. I hate how when epic levels are involved, the devs automatically assume everything has to scale to it. Random thugs in a bar are level 25, gold rains from the sky, etc. When you're that high level, some things should be easy, some things shouldn't. When you're that high, you should be able to take down some random thugs like they were flies, but it should be hard to find equipment better than you have already. Level 25 is where I want to fight the horde of goblins and great cleave lets me take down 9 goblins at once. The goblins shouldn't all have 10 levels of fighter and 10 of frenzied berzerker with monkey grip dual wielding greatswords. It defeats the fun of epic levels when things that really shouldn't be a challenge kill you. Like pirates in a bar. On the other hand, question for the Devs: How do you feel about all the comparisons to Planescape: Torment?

Apparently he's doing wonderful things with Hellboy 2. I'd almost like to see more of a CIA parody type RPG. Kind of like American Dad type stuff. You don't see a lot of humorous RPGs.

Mine actually runs worse than it did before the update. To get it to run any better than 15 FPS I have to turn off all shadows, Anti Aliasing, and basically all the video effects like bloom and such. I have a Pentium D 3.2, 2 gigs of ram, and a Geforce 7600 GT
