  1. If you have not found it - you should now. The release date was pushed back in Canada. I got mine @ an EB Games retail front fwiiw. Yeah, it hit Future Shop on friday and I snagged my copy.
  2. Has anyone else had a hard time finding a copy? Future Shop and Best Buy in Canada appear to not carry it, and EB keeps saying they should get a shipment in the next couple weeks. I figured since I couldn't find anyone with a copy of Duckman Season 1&2 either, I would just order it online, but the only canadian online store I figured would have both was Amazon.ca, but it doesn't carry The Witcher.
  3. Tried to get tickets to the AC/DC concert in November in Vancouver here. Tickets went on sale at 10:00, were sold out by 10:03. I don't know a single person who tried for tickets and got them, yet there's a douchebag on Ebay with like 60 tickets selling them for anywhere from 250-800 bucks a ticket.
  4. First crush I don't even remember her name. First crush on me was grade one, me and a guy named Colin were fighting over a girl named Chelsea. I won and got me first kiss. I never went through that whole "EEW GIRLS" phase.
  5. I enjoyed it. Dr Bishop is definitely entertaining. "I'll need a lab..." "You have a lab, your old one at Harvard. We reopened it for you don't you remember?" "No, but thats wonderful news!"
  6. Space, there aren't any regular pirates.
  7. If you're a vicious carnivore pirates attack less.
  8. Likely the first or one of the first will be the aquatic expansion, letting you create aquatic creatures and undersea cities and such. He also talked about a fauna expansion, which honestly I think would be hella boring. I say go with the aquatic one first, then do ones that expand the gameplay of each phase. For example one that makes the Tribal phase fun, then one that makes the Civ stage fun, then one that makes the creature stage the living breathing ecosystem we saw in early gameplay videos with all the creatures intermingling and such with herds and solitary hunters or pack hunters etc. instead of all the creatures pretty much staying put at their nests.
  9. Inconsistent game design is huge... I remember getting Lionheart, having a blast in Barcelona, then the game took an about face and turned into Diablo for the last half of the game. I eventually just quit because it was terrible.
  10. I'm not a fan of how the bonuses work. If I like the look of a certain mouth or such, I'm potentially penalized because its bonuses aren't as good as the terrible looking later mouths. This is the same for pretty much everything. Also, I don't like how the omnivore/herbivore/carnivore trait is hardwired into the different mouths. I wanted to create an herbivore bird, but couldn't because the beaks are omnivore. I think it would work better if you could choose your parts at no cost, then use your DNA points to buy your stat bonuses.
  11. I actually believe that piracy killed the Dreamcast. I knew about 8 people who owned dreamcasts, didn't know anyone who owned any games though, just a big stack of burns.
  12. I was VERY disappointed in the tribal and civ stages. The rest is fun.
  13. My problems with the film were that Christian Bale looks awful in the batsuit with his bitch chin, and the way he sticks his lips out as far as they'll go when he talks doesn't help matters.
  14. I didn't like the interface, and I especially didn't like that you couldn't edit it to suit your tastes. Firefox is where I'll stay.
  15. Apparently Golden Compass is the reason New Line got folded back into WB. New Line had a deal for distribution where basically they kept all the domestic gross of the film, while distributors got all the international gross. The movie then went on to make about 80 million domestic and about 400 million international. WB then folded New Line into WB proper in order to void the distribution deal so they could make the sequels and keep the profits. My big problem with Golden Compass was that they cut the ending. The book ended with . I like that ending better personally.
  16. Check out Spaced. its the british tv show from the same people.
  17. Thats because it is. They're doing a CG clone wars series, the movie in theatres is the first 3 episodes cut together. Lucas thought it was good enough for a theatrical showing.
  18. Poor bastard One Minute Silence - Holy Man Been on a huge Richard Cheese kick. Especially since we discovered the little one loves him.

If you're into some lighter fare, Marvel's Runaways is quite good. Its about a bunch of kids who find out their parents are secretly a league of supervillains who run all the crime on the west coast.
  20. Richard Cheese - Imperial March
  21. Godfather II looks sweet. I liked the first one. Repetetive, but fun and well integrated with the movie. The 2nd one expands on the criminal empire aspects of it and looks to be a big improvement.

Superman: Birthright was a good read too. Basically it was like Ultimate Superman. Updates and restarts Superman for new readers. Unfortunately it got swept away by Infinite Crisis and such and they're going to redo his origin again.

  24. I'm hoping for the nurture side of the nature vs nurture thing. If I expose her early and get those stuffed TF toys I should be good. A friend of mine has his daughter into Hulk so theres hope.
