  1. Razor was crap. Anyway, I really enjoyed the last season, up until they jumped to earth in the finale. After that it was poo.
  2. They just lowered the price of the PS2 to 100 bucks. You australians get shafted, you need to move to Canada, I mean we're the ones always competing for nicest place in the world to live, so there won't be too much difference except that its cold in winter instead of summer, and the accent will help you get laid.
  3. The warehouse I work at banned overtime which was the source of an extra 400 bucks a month for me, and I was forced to use my vacation time in february, meaning the next time off I get is christmas, but that was in exchange for keeping my job, and it was paid vacation, so I'm not complaining too much. A friend of mine though had a baby in january, and was laid off in february.
  4. I was trying to run from the cops in GTAIV and I came to a ledge, I thought "Awesome, I'll just jump the ledge and drive down the beach, no way they'll follow me" So I proceeded to hit the edge of the ledge and plow through the front windshield, landing on the road below and getting smoked by a car and dying. I never laughed so hard playing a game in my life. It was the first time I had encountered the front windshield mechanics of the game.
  5. The Devastator design for TF2 bothers me. Every constructicon is a different color leading to this big rainbow ape looking thing with a head that encompasses his entire body. Its just bad.
  6. Bioware hired a boatload of hall of fame NWN modders, and Ion Storm got like 90% of their original developers from the doom/quake modding community. Anyway, I'd love to see Blizzard do a single player story based RPG. The writing in their games has always been top notch and I'd like to see them really stretch their legs. Hell, I'd like them to just take the engine and world from WoW and build a single player RPG in it. It would save a lot of dev time. Imagine a big epic Mask of the Betrayer quality story spanning the WoW gameworld. I'd buy that even with the dated graphics.
  7. The show certainly seems to get better every week.
  8. Why? Because he thinks TV voice actors aren't the same calibre as hollywood actors so why would you want one when you could get George Clooney.
  9. So the design of Cobra Commander in the movie was revealed. And GI Joe fans wept. http://www.hisstank.com/gi-joe-news/gi-joe...er-images-8138/ Lorenzo DiBoneventura one of the producers said his cloth mask was too KKK and wasn't even considered. DiBoneventura is a terrible producer and should be banned from movies. He was the one trying to fight Peter Cullen playing Optimus Prime in the TF movie.
  10. This one needs to be watched together with Planet Terror Still waiting for "Machete" to come out as a full length movie I think you're thinking of Death Proof, which IMO was Tarantino's worst movie. Planet Terror was definitely the stronger of the two Grindhouse flicks.
  11. Watched a few flicks this weekend: Babylon AD: It was ok. Another vision of the future where the world sucks but America is awesome. I enjoyed it though, not something too deep but enjoyable. Death Race: A excellent piece of popcorn fun. Some great crashes and chase scenes. Cloverfield: The way it was shot made the deaths feel a lot more personal and had a lot more meaning than your standard slasher/monster flick, but on the other hand it makes it hard to watch and leaves any sort of plot in the dust. Fatherland: Slow but interesting. We need more alternate history movies.
  12. I'm sick of all the people who hated watchmen having only 2 things wrong with it: Too long, and full frontal male nudity. Seriously, if a **** is the only reason for you hating a movie, you need to grow up. Although they probably should have explained why he went around naked.
  13. Swordmages apply the arcane arts to melee combat. The combat skills they possess are enhanced by the magic they wield. The flourish of a swordmage's blade not only bites with steel, but also with fire, lightning, or other powerful forces. You studied and practiced for years to master your skills. You mastered the fundamentals of arcane magic and combined this academic study with endless hours of physical training. You might be a young eladrin in search of your fortune, a stranger to the wider world outside the seclusion of your homeland; a self-trained genasi sellsword, gifted with an affinity for elemental magic; the scion of a disgraced noble human family, taught by the finest tutors in your youth but now a footloose expatriate; or a half-elf arcane champion, rigorously trained in a war magic academy to serve in the armies of your homeland. Magical barriers of force swirl around you, protecting you from harm. The blade you carry is an extension of your being, both body and mind. It pulses with eldritch energy as you prepare to defend your allies and unleash magical fury against your foes.
  14. Saw Watchmen. Next to Sin City probably the most faithful adaption ever. There was the odd thing missing, but the Directors Cut is sposed to be like 40 minutes longer, so that will likely fill in all the parts that were missing. I quite enjoyed it, nicely shot, great effects, decent acting all around.
  15. So my father in law bought a laptop a while back with Vista installed. He hates it, but the guy he bought it from told him that the computer can't run XP. My question is: Is this guy feeding the inlaw a load of bull as I told him, or is there any way a computer can run vista but not XP.
  16. from myquick half hour research, it seems Avast is generally regarded as the best free virus software.
  17. Even NWN. It was definitely the worst of their games, but I enjoyed it.
  18. Well, Jeph Loeb was involved with the show. Now that he's off season 4 should really pick up.
  19. I'm excited because I like generic fantasy and I've enjoyed every RPG Bioware has released.
  20. Girlfriend was angry that Parkman didn't just make all the soldiers see someone else in the hotel room instead of letting them capture him. She also pointed out that the mutant hunters probably aren't going to make the "Hrmm, his dad had abilities... his brother has abilities, his daughter has abilities.... maybe he has abilities too!" connection with Nathan. They'll see him use his abilities or something first, even though thats a much more logical way to find out.
  21. Hence the BPRD setting. Hunting monsters and such for the US government in modern times sounds good to me. Set it up so you can leave and go freelance so its not so restrictive, or try to snag the rights for Atomic Robo as well and cross them over, working with him fighting wierd science stuff as well. The WW2 ones had a better art team.
  22. In the special features on one of the Atlantis dvds one of the writers talks about how theres like 6 sci fi stories and everything just tries to do each of them in a new way. I think it was something like 1: Aliens, 2: Time Travel, 3: Nanotechnology, 4: Virus, 5: Alternate Dimension, 6: Robots. They've even combined a few. I think really the only plot they haven't done on Stargate is Alien nanomachine robots from an alternate dimension going back in time to infect us with some crazy virus.
  23. Or the Hearts of Steel one, where they landed in the 1800s and took the form of steam engines and DaVinci esque flying machines. http://www.brassgoggles.co.uk/images/shockwave.jpg http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x112/ng...el_Megatron.jpg http://www.cyberfembot.com/CustomToys/FrontPage/RED_01.jpg http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/transfor...of_Steel_2b.jpg
  24. lol. Too true. By the time I clicked on the exit door it was too late. Once the "redo your pc?" screen came up there was no way to get out of it to save. Or at least I couldn't figure out a way. I guess I'll sit through Liam Neeson's cringe inducing dialogue once more. I hope I can remember which one is the exit door before I click on it. The autosave at that point saves before you leave the vault, so if you reload that then you're good.
