The Autobot Twins were Sunstreaker and Sideswipe. Sunstreaker was the yellow lamborghini and Sideswipe was red. Sunstreaker was the vain hothead, sideswipe the more prudent. Haven;t seen the flick yet but apparently they made sideswipe a silver corvette and didn't keep sunstreaker with him. If they wanted a single corvette transformer there was always Tracks.

http://kotaku.com/5300055/like-sands-throu...r-online-office Any great office prank stories from the Obsidian crew?

I enjoyed them immensely. Couldn't put them down. I agree with you about the cliches, but found them to be very entertaining, if a bit preachy about Goodkind's political views.

I think the reason people like it so much is that it's so political and complicated that they can't wrap their minds around it. Also it's more like real life than anything (where things never go how they're supposed to) else in the genre. but it does take FOREVER to get started and doesn't really kick off until the wars of succession begin amongst the various noble houses. Which (I think) really starts in the second freaking book (and these are 7-800 page books!) Is it good? If you can stand the slow pace then yes, but if you're looking for something that you don't have to slog through (for the first bit) then pick up something else... Like Insturmentalities of the Night :D I like it because its not too cliche. The only real cliche is the old evil returning, but its not a huge part of the books yet as it hasn't returned in full quite yet. I also like that being a medieval society, the Nobles are the only important people. Peasants are peasants, not epic heroes.

Another vote for A Song of Ice and Fire. Sword of Truth is also excellent. Currently enjoying L.E.Modesitt Jr's Recluce series. Word of warning about them: not a lot happens, but for some reason the way he writes makes it interesting. A 700 page book about a guy learning about balancing order and chaos within machines while he makes ends meet as a blacksmith and toymaker... somehow extremely compelling.

Let's create the worst fantasy setting ever.

Peasantrise was once ruled by an evil warlock king who demanded unrealistic taxes from his subjects and just treated everyone terribly. For some reason he managed to keep tight control over his huge army despite being hated by pretty much everyone in the kingdom. One day a prophecised young man from a humble farming family came back from fetching water to find his family killed by the king for not paying his taxes. He then gathered a ragtag group of freedom fighters including a sexy female rogue, gruff dwarf fighter, mysterious wizard, snooty elf, and charismatic best friend who eventually betrayed him. He then managed to storm the castle of Eavylkeep and defeat the king in single combat, becoming king himself. He immediately enacted tax reforms and farming subsidies and everyone was happy forever. -
I wonder how difficult it would be to adapt it to an original IP

Isn't forcing a carnivore to be vegan animal cruelty?

Avoid if you've read the books though. It will just make you angry. They mostly base the first season on the first book, cherry picking a couple moments from book 6 and such though. And they completely change huge plot points, major characters who appear throughout the book series are relegated to cameos in single episodes, dead characters are alive, live characters are dead, that sort of thing. Terry Goodkind was supposed to be heavily involved in the show but he wasn't.

What car would you like to have if you could pick anyone

After driving next to one of those... they should be called the Rollerskate. Seriously, I would need two, one for each foot. I don't see how anyone taller than 5' could fit in that. And I drive a Yaris. -

Volvo S60 modified with a diesel engine, and super expensive stereo. -
I like a little bit of everything, but my favorite genres are Metal, Hard Rock, and Classical.

How strange, then, that there were so many good ST games to come out of Interplay in the 1990s/early 2000s, and indeed generally - The 25th Anniversary, Elite Force/2, The Fallen, the Starfleet Command series, Armada/2, etc. Can anyone tell me how to actually win a space combat in 25th anniversary? It dropped me into the game and I had no idea what to do then I died.

http://fo3settler.webs.com/ The beta for the settler mod was posted recently. Haven't played it yet, but based on the alpha it should be pretty damn good.

but that's the thing, every impression I've gotten of latinum is that it's like gold (which doesn't make sense to lug around a heavy valuable material when you're in the future) Its apparently a liquid that can't be replicated, hence its value. Gold pressed latinum is latinum contained in gold strips for use as currency.

Screw Star Trek, give me a Green Lantern Corps RPG.
-
Or it was just a weak film, which it was I agree. I just wonder why everyone else I know loved it. I thought PE was terribly overrated. One of those movies where the trailer has most of the funny parts in it. I thought James Franco was pretty entertaining trying to channel Spicoli. The best part of the movie was in the diner at the end.

I liked how the moral of the story of Zack and Miri was that women shouldn't play mind games, because they just end up hurting themselves.

I haven't been up to day, but I could see this happening... what with them enacting a kill order on the Sinestro Corps during the Corps war. And with ganthet being tossed out for having emotion (yay blue lanterns!) They also enacted a kill order for all enemies of the green lanterns, they outlawed love and relationships between green lanterns, which resulted in mass resignations, and they created the alpha lanterns. A half lantern/half manhunter group that polices the green lanterns.
-
I like that the Guardian's reactions to all the other lanterns is basically turning them into the villains.

Ok, so I just caught myself up on the goings on in the Green Lantern universe. Screw Batman, GL is the best DC property. Looking forward to Blackest Night. Green Lantern Corps should be made into an animated series. On a not so enthusiastic note, read Ultimatum #4. Loeb is still raping the Ultimate universe. Dr Strange gets killed after getting a costume "update" (if by changing it from his ultimate costume to his 616 costume is an update) and they change his personality. How he gets killed? Dormamu strangles him with his own cape with telekenesis then drops him on his head. Fight seriously takes like 3 panels. Oh, and then Angel gets his neck broken by Sabretooth, who is then shot in the eye by Hawkeye. Fight again takes about 3 panels. Then Valkyrie fights Magneto, who wields Mjolnir, Valkyrie cuts his arm off then dies. Reminder, Thor sacrificed his life to ressurrect her in the previous issue. Oh, and the whole Ultimatum thing? Caused by Dr Doom. The same Dr Doom who is trapped in the Zombie dimension but is somehow back and no one questions how or why. I hope Jeph Loeb gets cancer.

You must not be a comic fan. Lucky you. I mean that. Reading the source material of adaptions before seeing the movie always ruins the movie. The first two Harry Potter movies I consider the best ones because I hadn't read the books, after that I read all the books, and not a single movie after has lived up to them. (Chamber of Secrets and Philosophers Stone were actually very faithful though.)

I'm using the Better Companions mod, Better Caravans mod, the one that makes the sky blue, and the pre-beta of The Settler(not available, but will be a must have when its released). I had the Foundation mod until the newer patch made mods not work. Hadn't played it before patching but heard its really good.

Its a shame that we can't do horrible psychological experiments anymore, then we could settle this for good. Have a kid kill a bunch of people in game, then have him witness a gruesome murder and see what the reactions are to both.
