I think 8-9 is a good number. I didn't mind the "low" number of companions in Planescape: Torment. Maybe have an extra companion or two that functions the same way ED-E and Rex did in Fallout: New Vegas. That wouldn't require as much extra work. Then they could add new characters for the expansion.

Bought Skulls of the Shogun. A fun turn based strategy game. Going to complete the game and then maybe do a replay to get all the golden skulls. There's an interesting twist to how you power up your soldiers, you actually eat the skulls of your fallen enemies to power up your own soldiers. You have to do this in every mission if you want battles to be easier. Eating three skulls gives that unit an extra move. I've only played a few missions, but now the enemies are eating the skulls of MY fallen soldiers. They are slowly introducing the player to new things. Like haunting, gathering offerings to summon more soldiers to the battlefiel (also possible for your enemy). It's a shame that sales were really bad (on Xbox 360).

Started a virus scan) on my PC almost 3,5 hours ago, it's still going on. I've been getting weird messages when I start STEAM and then it crashes. Been playing on my PS3 and 360 during the wait. (Was expecting the scan to take an hour at most.)

I actually hope it turns out good. I liked DA:O even if there were flaws. I think DA2 had its moments despite being a disappointment. For DA3, I won't hope for a spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate, I just want a competently made rpg.

I've already done that one. It did help greatly with panic reduction. My current high panic levels are because I probably need more satellites.

Are you using the Aircraft Modules? I found the Defense Module and Attack Module very useful in fights. Also upgrading the Aircraft weapons helped insure the fight wasn't very long (I was using the Fusion Lance or EMP cannon by the end). I can build defense modules but not offense modules yet. I'll try the EMP cannon, maybe it helps. The Phoenix and Laser cannons requires the ship to get way too close to the UFO.

X-Com: EU Seven soldiers in the graveyard now. One S:H:I:V: destroyed. Panic levels are fairly high in four countries. I got an A grade for my first 2 months. A B grade for my third. What bothers me is that it seems no matter what I do, my ships take a lot of damage when intercepting UFO's. Even the Firestorm almost gets decimated immediately.

Interesting but not surprising. I wonder if we'll see their nameless game releasing late next year. I wouldn't mind if they did an rpg in a real world setting, but I've been wanting a steampunk game from Obsidian for some time now.

I just "Liked" every post in this thread. I can't like my own post. But I can give it a

Feast of Crows. Read the last 200 pages today. The book could honestly have consisted of these 200 pages and I would've been content. I guess he had to step things up a little by the end of the book. he goes on and on and on but nothing of great importance happens for long periods of time. I know this happens in the three first books, but I still think they had enough exciting things going on every now and then. In book 4, he waits for 400-500 pages before I started felt drawn in. At least book 5 includes the characters I like, so there's that to look forward to. I'll try to start reading it tomorrow.

Labadal you are a teacher right, what don't you enjoy about that job? Not a teacher, more of an assistant. I don't even have the proper education for the job (as far is I understand). I love my job but I've been working under contract for the last two years. A large restructuring at our school will see a lot of people (teachers, principals and other positions) lose their jobs. Most people have already found jobs at new workplaces, so it's cool, I guess. I might return to my current job, but I'll have to take that with the new boss. My current boss has no say when the next term starts. All she can do is put in a good word for me. I think I'm actually going to get to work there under contract again. The thing is that it would be nice to find a long term solution. That's why I've been applying to all sorts of positions for jobs I qualify for and jobs that I probably won't get in a million years. Nothing to lose, right?

Today I sent a job application to a company that makes video games. Role playing games. I basically have none of the required abilities. But if I'm going to search for another job, it might as well be the dream job. My contract expires on June 30, but I actually have vacation until then.

The Fallout license belongs to Zenimax/Bethesda. Obsidian did Fallout: New Vegas because they managed to get a contract a to do one Fallout game. The next game in the series will be made by Bethesda.
