  1. I have confidence that they will continue to iterate on the existing formulas. Having unrealistic expectations won't help anyone, Bioware is not going to spontaneously decide to do a hardcore PC-only Baldur's Gate 3.
  2. There is this whole alleged skill system and I've heard rumors of co-op, but don't quote me on that.
  3. I gave up them doing anything awesome a long time ago. The only way to get the licenses at this point would probably be to buy them off WotC's liquidated remains.
  4. It would be much more economic to continue trashing it without buying it...
  5. The joke is that it is more balanced for a game . Blame Wizards for mocking around with the licenses and generally screwing things up for everyone.
  6. But a BG3 with 4e is worse than no BG3 at all!!
  7. Going by Cryptic's track record it'll probably be Guild Wars with a monthly fee, but I don't think they have announced the pricing model yet.
  8. Don't be so narrow minded, both of them could suffer
  9. A more accurate description would be Heroes of Might and Magic meets Heroes of Might and Magic And isn't it all turn based?
  10. Wow, Nathaniel is out in full force. Maybe we should troll more often?
  11. I don't see why everyone is so bent out of shape about this. WotC is trying to make a buck and pimp the 4th edition by outsourcing it to Walmart of MMO developers along with a somewhat relevant IP. Seeing as almost no one around here cares too much about 4e and MMOs aren't too popular either, it's really no skin off your backs.
  12. Looking forward to the press taking a dump on it because of the poor performance on consoles.
  13. XCOM as a multiplayer game is Laser Squad Nemesis, but it's not really that popular anymore.
  14. Well, I have learned that DX:HR is a horrible abbreviation. At this point, I only hope that they will polish it up nicely and that the story will be good or at least not a huge pile of clich
  15. They are also putting a new twist on the skill tree with the skill runes and the crazy potion chugging will be mitigated with health orbs. I think they are pretty much reinventing Diablo in new and interesting ways.
  16. Oh well, I've heard some interesting things about it, but generally no one is really talking about it.
  17. Speaking of science, has anyone tried NASA's free Moonbase Alpha on Steam?
  18. It was a general comment, obviously we don't have enough information to determine DS3's brainless button masher-ness.
  19. I didn't mean representative in the real world sense, but playing Uplink makes me feel more like hacking than playing Mastermind or Eyestrain It's all about the perception.
  20. I meant the Hollywood/Uplink style "make lots of connecting lines between nodes and wait for loading bars to fill before they trace you", this is cyberpunk, no lame real world hacking in here.
  21. There's nothing wrong with brainless button mashers, as long as the gameplay is good and the class/skill system varied.
  22. I think the important thing is to not make the minigames just abstract puzzle/reflex games, but to actually make it representative of what you're supposed to be doing. It would be nice to get some more gameplay videos.
  23. Yup, comparing it to Uplink sounds pretty interesting. I just hope it doesn't go all Tron with the extra programs and viruses.
  24. Obviously it's all about the implementation, the best idea in the world isn't worth anything if can't manage to implement it properly. The days of games getting praise(at least from the press) just for good ideas are over, you have to carry through.
