  1. There's some in this book:
  2. Not trying to insult you, it's just looks unpronounceable to me
  3. Guess it's a good thing most of us don't speak Serbian On a side note, writing Slavic languages with Latin letters is weird.
  4. I guess they have a server around here somewhere, because I usually get my full speed, around 1-1.1MB/s. But even downloading from Fileshack's US server I get up to their server limit 750KB/s.
  5. Surely you meant the midichlorian bacteria present in all living beings.(Except the Yuuzhan Vong, they're too awesome for the midichlorians)
  6. It's the rating that people have given to their ISPs. Obviously this doesn't show real-world performance very accurately, but it does matter for downloading stuff off Steam etc.
  7. It's great that you found a purpose for your life. Maybe in ~20 years you can publish it as the most complete list of cRPGs since the apocalypse. EDIT: Lol Final Fantasy VIII, the boredom simulator that comes with a ridiculously stupid story!
  8. They already made Fable 2...
  9. Poor Flying Polyps, they're an endangered species, go pick on some Mi-Go.
  10. So how fast is your internet? Go to www.speedtest.net, choose the closest server and start the speed test. When you get the results there's a button on to "copy forum link", press that and paste it here. Here's mine:
  11. Where do dragons come into this? Yeah, it's pretty much a JRPG, but I love the world and the lore. Must be my nostalgia speaking, still how could anyone forget the ?
  12. Your favorite game is an expansion? The Frozen Throne wasn't bad by any means, but it was just a decent RTS with a somewhat cookie cutter story. "Defender: Saving The Human Race"? An unknown PS2 flight sim? What about the classics such as Rogue Squadron, Tie Fighter, Freelancer? It just seems random. For the lulz, I'll list some random games that no one has heard of but still manage to be good: Septerra Core Nexus: The Jupiter Incident Independence War 2 Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive Ground Control Sanitarium

Has anyone read Kevin J. Anderson's Saga of Seven Suns? Is it any good?
  14. Didn't you read the latest post by Sannom? They are backing out of the always online stuff.
  15. Cos everyone knows what they say about dwarves. That they are always grumpy? That they like beer? That they're women are hairy?
  16. Hey, cricket is almost as exciting as curling!
  17. It's also pretentious, but you'll have to finish the game to see the full extent. Try World of Goo if you're into indie games.
  18. Starcraft 2 delayed until 2010. Blizzard strikes again!
  19. Truer words were never spoken.
  20. So do I, but they can be counted on one hand - if you chop off two fingers. Which is a way of getting the discussion back on topic: does the fact that the PC is not so integrally woven into the plot as he/she was in Baldur's Gate/Torment/Mask worry you? For a game that was supposed to be a spiritual sequel, this approach would seem insane to drop, as it was a large part of BGII. I know very little about DA's plot. All I know is that it's kind of like Mass Effect(Gray Warden=Specter) and that there is a super evil horde of evil demons coming from somewhere. That doesn't sound very promising, but I'm not really expecting much of DA, so it's not really a problem.
  21. What do you mean? Is that sarcasm? Yes it is.
  22. I'm not seeing the parody aspect, but whatever. I'm not a big fan of good vs evil either, that's why I like more personal stories like Torment and Mask of The Betrayer.
  23. Its the deep and hidden desire to have virtual sex while being all that you in fact - are not, with "women" you could never have, and to hide this from everyone else. Understandable, and I get if people feel a little jealous of Geralt but you know, some pixels have all the luck. Condescending much? I didn't bring up the sex stuff, but it does undermine your point of Witcher being so very mature. If you state something so adamantly(especially here and about RPGs), expect people to disagree.
  24. Which really doesn't invalidate the game in any way. Third time I've said it. It was meant to be good intentioned fun, a bit of comic relief and that was what it was. Just like in Dogma: Metatron: ...Take sex, for example. There's nothing funnier than the ridiculous faces you people make mid-coitus Bethany: Sex is a joke in Heaven? Metatron: The way I understand it, it's mostly a joke down here, too. Arguing about RPGs here is not a very good idea, almost everyone has a different opinion on things. No one(?) is saying that The Witcher is a bad game. It's just not the pinnacle of maturity in video games. The sex stuff felt more like a "collect all 30 cards minigame" than something with any depth or meaning. Just like adding large amounts of swearing into Gears of War made it silly, not mature.
