Get the fanpatch if you haven't, it fixes a ton of bugs. I think you can skip the dialog by left or right clicking.

Oblivion was my first Bethesda game. It was a big disapointment when it came to quests and how they stood up to other RPG games from Bioware, Obsidian and BlackIsle. One thing stood out though, and that was the world. Bethesda are masters of creating this beautiful environment that you want to explore. I felt that the ultimate RPG would be a world crafted by Bethesda, a plot arc by Bioware and the character interaction/dialogue done by Obsidian. Fallout 3 was a big step in that direction. It is certainly still a long ways off of course. One of the many reasons I'm quite excited about Fallout New Vegas is it will combine that Obsidian writing with a large open Beth style world. So you really just want to save the world?

NMA needs better PR then, because it is pretty much publicly known as the go-to place for all the FO3 haters. I can see that you hate FO3 with a burning passion. There's nothing wrong with that, but filling every post about it with pure hate just makes you come off as a someone who doesn't like other people having fun. The truth is that Interplay went under, Beth bought the rights and they don't own anything to you.

Well, I wasn't intimately familiar with the workings of FFXI. How many people do you see playing FFIV? 2 million? 4 Million?

It's just that hating FO3 has become a bit old around these parts. Cronicler, even if it happens, it's not going to change anything. There won't be a vault dweller in rusty power armor coming to open everyone's eyes to the "truth" and make them run to the streets with burning copies of FO3. Whether you agree with it or not, a lot of people liked FO3 and it's probably one the most successful games this generation. Of course it has flaws and might not live up to the other Fallouts but people just don't care. Can't you just let those people have their fun?

RPGmasterBoo, this is REALLY not the thread for this. Anyway, I thought Fallout 3 was better than I expected, but I still didn't like it. As for NMA, they sing the same song over and over and over again, which can get as annoying as everyone who praises FO3 to the heavens. They have truly become the caricature Fallout purists that everyone (mistakenly) thought them to be.

I guess that's why PC games have been a consistent growth industry for almost their entire existence (especially the past few years), right? Because they don't sell too well these days? Damn I'm sick of the misinformation surrounding the PC game industry. It's not a ****ing zero-sum game because not only are the Western markets (Canada, America, Western Europe, Australia, etc) not saturated yet, but you've got the developing countries (Brazil, Poland, Russia, etc) all getting into video games at roughly the same time and they are definitely not choosing consoles. I was just trying to avoid 3 pages of dead horse beating. Console games sell better than PC games, PC games are still profitable. This is not what the thread is about. Anyway, does anyone care about FFXIV?

As I said, people's opinions are subjective, there's no point in starting a discussion about those games, it won't go anywhere.

What is it with them? Somehow, I always knew I'd piss someone off by saying that. Theres nothing wrong with the games, except I think Halo 3, Call of Duty, and World of Warcraft are some of the most over-rated games ever made. Fallout 3 is okay, just not a game I'd like to be sitting on my wretched ass playing all damn day. People's options are subjective, news at 11.

What's your point Bos_hybrid? We all know that pc games don't sell too well these days and that's why more and more developers are making console games. The same goes for RPGs. This thread is about MMOs, not PC game sales.
