  1. Oh, ok. So basically you get a castle and use it to practice your crazy ninja skills to become a rogue.
  2. No human rogue?
  3. I should have probably said plot devices. To me Bioshock was a game of unlimited potential that failed to live up to any of it. The idea was good, the setting and atmosphere were also good, but everything else just fell flat. Sure, but books have had thousands of years to reach the greatness that they have. Games have only had 2 decades at best and you can't really just use a novel-style writing in a game, to make it good you have to take into account the medium's strengths and weaknesses just as with film.
  4. Writing novels would probably be pretty different if the average reader only read ~30% of the total written content. You mean the guys who copy-pasted System Shock 2's story and changed it a bit to be more steampunkish? Awesome job with that!
  5. Poor French
  6. So Felicia Day of the guild made a promotional video with Wil Wheton and the Guild cast to promote her webseries The Guild. You can see it , it's kinda nice and who doesn't love Felicia Day? EDIT: It's supposed to be a parody of popular music videos these days, in case you were wondering.
  7. Have the human origins been released? Are they awesome?
  8. You really have to be hardcore to have your character die permanently, like Hearts of Iron hardcore. Props to anyone who can lose their lvl 60 char and keep on playing.
  9. When in doubt, pick the one with the biggest boobs. But she was SO annoying, I wish I could have killed them both. Hmm, why wasn't that an option? It would be much awesomer to have to choose between Shepherd and a team mate.
  10. Games and classic literature are still two different fields. Torment may have the best writing in a game, but comparing it to the best novel is still (somewhat) unfair. It did what almost no other game could, and should be praised for that, in that category. You don't compare novels to movies, do you?
  11. Farenheit still gives me flashbacks to the quick time events like some Vietnam war veteran. Any game that doesn't have you save the world gets a +100 credibility in my book.
  12. Choosing between the racist bitch and Generic McGeneric, tough choice... My only hope is that some of the new characters are actually likable. Don't let me down, Miranda.
  13. I Am Alive sounds ok. I Am Alive FAQ If it ever comes out... Still putting BG&E2 on hold was a horrible move, unless they want to only sell the petz titles and rabbids... It's like giving the finger to the hardcore people.
  14. HC is a one way ticket to regret. Seriously, why would anyone want a one time only character? Some people are crazy.
  15. There's a free trial...
  16. I'm sure there will be a save editor for the imported save out like in 1 day. It would be nice to remember what choices I made.
  17. They don't really anything too good coming up either: 2009 + 2010 Avatar (PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360) I Am Alive (PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360) Red Steel 2 (Wii) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Smash-Up (Wii) Tenchu: Shadow Assassins (Wii, PSP) R.U.S.E. (PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360) Rabbids Go Home (Wii) Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes (Nintendo DS) Assassin's Creed II (PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360) Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines (PSP) Ghost Recon 4 Academy of Champions (Wii) Your Shape (Wii) C.O.P. The Recruit (Nintendo DS) The Price is Right (PC, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS) Press Your Luck (PC, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS) Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction (PC, Xbox 360) Silent Hunter 5 (PC)
  18. Or you know, just play the game for fun without grinding bosses until your hands fall off. You really know how to suck fun out of stuff.
  19. From some gaming website dude's twitter:
  20. He's now doing a futuristic FMV adventure game called Ripper, which is hilarious. For some strange reason it has Christopher Walken in it.
  21. Did the paladin give auras for resists etc.... maybe other buffs too. Hell was damn near impossible without the resistance aura, especially on /players 8...
  22. All I can say to that is welcome to the internet. If you can't take the griefers and other annoying people, it's not for you. That said, WoW is pretty grief-lite compared to other stuff like Everquest and EVE, also sometimes it's freaking hilarious. If you want to have a controlled experience, stick to single-player games. As for the Blizzard stuff, it's their game and you're free to leave, which you did, so congrats!
  23. Then I remembered correctly, I've been trying to purge the blandness from my mind, but to no avail. Playing it was like eating a tasteless paste, but the kind that sticks to your mouth and makes other stuff taste bland as well.
