For now I'd go with well-programmed ship instead of crazy AI-run ship.
  2. iDevices... I have an iPod Touch, but I don't really like buying stuff from the app store. There are some nice free apps, though.
  3. Can't you be Steam-neutral and just not irrationally hate something because of a single bad experience?
  4. Yes and yes. The episodes are a continuous story so be sure to watch them in the correct order for it to make any sense.
  5. Did you miss the Polanski thread?
  6. The codex? Or just meld into NeoGAF?
  7. Most of them were pushed there quite a while ago. You still have Dragon Age and Borderlands this year.

On a brighter note, here's the first pic of Summer Glau from episode 5:

  10. That Freudian has slipped. I hate it when my Freudian slips.
  11. In Soviet Russia... something something you.

That's pretty deep, man. Out of Gas was really great. Dollhouse manages to have really average "imprint of the week" stories and awesome sub-stories going on in the background. As for Sierra, she looks like a Tibetan sand fox:
  13. I wish they had done more awesome stuff with the Baroque style they were going for. The weird bronze space suit design was really cool.
  14. Sorry, no unseeing, but over time the memory will dim into a blurry slice of pure horror.
  15. It never a surprise, but that didn't make it more acceptable(at least to me) Sure, but that's your personal thing. It has nothing to do with the overall quality of the game. It's just a Bethesda-style Fallout. Only "a bit"? They have massacred the setting adding non-sensical stuff here and there! Didn't people used to say that about Fallout 2 with the talking Deathclaw and what not? If anyone eventually makes a horrible Fallout 12-2 or something we can look back fondly and remember how good FO3, 4 and 5 were compared to that crap.
  16. In reality it's probably going to end up more like this: -Hey I just read The Divine Comedy! -You mean the game? Yeah those boob-monsters were pretty awesome! -*facepalm* Would anything that has a distinct number of different-themed levels make a good video game? DnD mostly lifted the 9 circles of hell concept as well. If they just wanted that why change Dante the poet into some kind of crazy scythe-wielding maniac? They could have had their own characters in a Divine Comedy-inspired setting.
  17. Maybe. In that case, it'll be even worse, because most people have heard of Splinter Cell, but few people, outside of the hardcore RPG-ites, who won't look at the box anyway, have heard of AP, so they'll probably go for SCC. Yup, and SCC will probably be pretty good as well, from what we've seen.
  18. Yeah, some people act like children. Hopefully there's more your lives than Alpha Protocol and you can continue on without it. I think Splinter Cell: Convition would be a more direct competitor. Most people probably won't see any of the gameplay when they grab the box from the shelves.
  19. Oh I can see the nature of the complaints, but consider for a moment that FO3 is a game by Bethesda, who's only other recent game is Oblivion, FO3 is made by the same people using the same engine. FO3 being more like Oblivion than FO1/2 should not come as a surprise to anyone. That said, I didn't like FO3 either, but not because it wasn't Fallout-y enough. I just don't generally like the open world sandbox do-what-you-want kind of games.
  20. If you went in expecting FO1/2, you were either way too optimistic or just plain ignorant.
  21. If the publisher thinks it's not worth releasing it's either really good or really bad. But most likely there's some other obscure financial reason for not releasing it now.
  22. The Fallout you're referring to has been dead for 10+ years. This is Fallout now. @alanschu: All those crazy guys living in the past. If you don't get over that then everything else will seem dim and mediocre compared to the shiny awesomeness of the past.
