Given the interval of my reading of that forum teeters on months, not indicative of much. I assume the romance one is still going as well. Yip, the Romance\Sex thread is seeing a little revival at the moment
-
Irritating immortal threads that somehow you still find the time to read hey Malc?
-
I hear what you are saying Alan but do you really think that the outfits of characters like Viconia and Isabella are disrespectful to women?
-
Oby for once I agree with you on a topic. I am a huge supporter of the aesthetics of the female form and how it adds to a game. So I hope we see more Isabella type female characters in PE than Cadegund who I find boring.

Relationship/Romance Thread IV
BruceVC replied to Tigranes's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
You found it unrealistic that someone could develop a romantic interest in someone else and not immediately have sex with them? My opinion is roughly the opposite of yours. No I found it unrealistic that person could traverse the planes, meet alien creatures, kill demons, discover he is immortal but somehow not have sex with a party member who is inextricably linked to him and he is attracted to The Nameless one is inextricably linked to every one of his party members. Did you find it unrealistic that he didn't have sex with Ignus? The inextricable link is not necessarily linked to an urge to fornicate in any of those examples. Including the example of Annah. Including the example of Grace. And most of what you've written there has absolutely nothing to do with sex. He traversed the planes and killed demons so obviously he's going to want to have sex? Complete nonsense. And the idea that love implies that two characters will have sex immediately is a very mass media influenced one. You clearly didn't understand my point so I'll explain it slowly. Sex is normal and in times of stress sex is a coping mechanism. We already know that the Nameless one had relationships with people so logically he would have had sex in his travels, you mustn't see sex as taboo in Planescape. If he is on this great journey of self discovery and gets to the point where he may end his existence he would obviously want to experience some sort of physical closeness to a member of the party who he already had an emotional connection with . So yes the logical corollary of this would be sex. In my case this was with Annah. You seem fine with the parts of his personality and actions that include killing demons and visiting strange worlds but the thought of the Nameless One wanting to have sex is nonsense to you. No offense but I find your view on this matter bizarre I also like my RPG experience to be similar to the fantasy books I read and enjoy. I like Conan and in that world he has sex with various people and it makes sense. Oh and I would have liked to have sex with Ignus if there was an emotional connection but for me there wasn't -
Its excellent, I recommend it. I also thought the Lost and Damned was good. I use to RP my character in Lost and Damned very differently. I would attack cops on purpose and generally drive over any civilians I came across

It has been interesting seeing the games that people have replayed. I have never played any game more than once in my life. The main reasons being I don't play RTS which I imagine would have variety in the endings and I find in other genres once I know the ending then the excitement is over
-
Actually I would argue the bikers of Lost and Damned are much more psychotic and violent that Niko Bellic. At least Niko is trying to make a new life for himself and laments the past and what he did in the war. I don't remember any compunction from the bikers in any respects?

I will wait for the first critique videos to pop up, the better thought out ones uncovered a few gameplay design flaws with Bioshock Infinite Wow, this game looks very intriguing

Why questions someone's tastes? People have different opinions about the games you like or hate. Exactly? If you post your opinion on a forum, I would think it would be expected that people would agree or disagree with it. I clearly side with the latter. 100 %, isn't that one of the main reasons for a forum. To stimulate debate?

Oh yee of little faith But yes I have a few reservations, but I can't be anymore disappointed by him than certain other companies in the last few years. So I am happy to be part of the cheer-leading squad at least until the game comes out and we can assess it properly- 13 replies

Meanwhile in London: Beheading in broad daylight
BruceVC replied to Morgoth's topic in Way Off-Topic
Depends on the people. No, I don't care if you like me. Nor do I care if you belive me or not. I've never understood why someone would want to join a community just to get people to not like them. Why waste the time? I mean we all have our unpleasant moments, but not every post has to be a competition. That's the complete irony around what Trashman said and why its obviously not true. Human beings are generally gregarious creatures by nature, everyone end of the day wants to be liked. Unless of you course you are some sort of sociopath. So now take an example of a forum, one of the perfect examples of how people interact. Whether a person admits it or not you want people to enjoy your comments and to be accepted in this virtual community. Its just the way it is, a real misanthrope wouldn't be part of any forum. So whenever anyone says things like " I don't care if anyone likes me " or " I just make comments irrespective of what people think" in almost all cases its not true. And the person is only saying this as some sort of defense mechanism pretending to show indifference as they are feeling sheepish about some sort of bad forum behavior that they have been called out on PS: Trashman this is not directed at you but its a general observation. For the record I do like you -
It may appear to be biased but its not hard to believe that the PC would be the platform of choice for BF4.

Shouldn't that be qualified as something like "the Swastika is a sign of bigotry amid nations who fought WWII, were formed out of WWII, are highly populated by ethnic or religious groups targeted for extermination by the Nazi party and/or don't have strong Buddhist or Hindi traditions"? Cause I seriously doubt that a devout Hindu living in rural India thinks of the Swastika as a sign of bigotry (could be wrong though). Okay "the Swastika is a sign of bigotry amid nations who fought WWII, were formed out of WWII, are highly populated by ethnic or religious groups targeted for extermination by the Nazi party and/or don't have strong Buddhist or Hindi traditions"? Better? -

Now, I don't expect the actual sales to reflect this in the slightest (though BF3 on PC was still a huge seller, it shipped mountains of units for the consoles as well). This was a poll on Facebook, so the people likely already have a PC. I just find it interesting because a lot of people make reference to online polls and online news in general to ground their opinions on popularity and so forth. Hi Alan Interesting poll and once again vindicates my choice as the PC for my gaming platform

The thought of that makes me laugh

Do you like it? If yes, then you don't owe me any justification or explanation. If you stand for what is written on the avatar, then backing down is basicly "spinelesness". And I'm not acknowledging anything. Hypothetical. Also I said it's kinda spinelessl-y. And I'm not trying to get you to like me. Wow, you are HARDCORE!!! You don't care if people like you, but next time say it in a way so that people might actually believe you ? I still think you should acknowledge the Swastika is a sign of bigotry. Personally I think a great weight will be lifted off your shoulders and I am sure you will sleep well tonight -
I've just started DmC and I'm enjoying it so far. I am getting comfortable with the controls and this is always a must for a game like this. I also enjoy there interpretation of the world beset by demonic forces.
-
Sweeeeeet, nice one. It may seem like an obvious feature but I like the table for the inventory so you can easily see the weight and other attributes of items. This is something I always find a little laborious in other RPG when I just want to see specifications of my items

That's not good, but I assume worse case scenario is that its a delay in your education?
