  1. GD is right Comrade, you dont need wars or civil wars to see change.....yes sometimes calamitous events\wars are unfortunately necessary but their are often other alternatives
  2. I am not convinced by this argument ...it does make some sense but it seems very sardonic and defeatist when it comes to our various Democracies and how we can make things better on the political side especially around delivery of promised policies and what is expected and demanded by citizens
  3. https://www.pcgamer.com/the-witcher-3-director-has-left-cd-projekt-red-after-workplace-bullying-investigation/ So the director of Witcher 3 and long time employee of CDPR has resigned after being cleared of " bullying " charges at CDPR I would love to know what exactly he was accused of that he was cleared of in respects to bullying at CDPR because I not sure he should have resigned if he was cleared ?
  4. Gfted1 I know you mentioned you dont normally vote but how do you feel about your politicians and members of congress....do you share the same general distain and cynicism that other US forum members feel about them?
  5. I have been reviewing Greedfall for ages and I have often considered buying it, please go into detail. I would like any comparison to other games and as much detail you are prepared to share, for example what specifically did you enjoy about it and also what didnt you enjoy about it ?
  6. It sounds like some Millennials are the problem then and they aren't circumspect enough Oh well, not the problem of the rest of us. We dont want to change things in the interests of groups of people who arent making decisions correctly like " why I like or dislike this game " and then later get bored due to not doing proper research or just lack institutional memory about gaming classics
  7. Gorthfuscious I am shocked by Denmark's decision to not use J&J ....this is something I imagine you must be very concerned about considering its your old home country. We cannot accept this and I think we both know what you must do....you must make a stand in the interests of science and saving lives. You must protest every day outside the Danish embassy...forget anything else, even your Mandarin and Arabic lessons, this is more important !!! I am with you in spirit and any pain you suffer, like being arrested, you must realize I share your pain in a true vicarious sense
  8. https://www.pcgamer.com/spec-ops-the-line-writer-would-eat-broken-glass-before-considering-sequel/ Yeah, I enjoyed Spec Ops. I finished it and I dont remember anything specific about it that was problematic What I didnt know is how much some of the developers and writers dislike the idea of a sequel and also how the narrative was based on the classic Heart of Darkness book and other similar themes like the movie Apocalypse Now ...it makes sense if I think about the plot in Spec Ops https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heart_of_Darkness
  9. I am the opposite, I enjoy malls and supermarkets but not when they very busy like at months end I enjoy looking for ingredients in different shops and interacting with people including cashiers which is one of the many reasons I dislike this whole pandemic culture we have had to adopt to survive like wearing masks which are incredibly anti-social but necessary
  10. Some good virus news, nice to hear
  11. Mamie what dark themes and what take on racism wouldnt be accepted in Western games, it sounds very interesting Can you give specific examples ?
  12. Great post and very informative and of course I understand this is your opinion but you not the only person I know living in Oz who shares your views on the current government its just I havent really been following it actively so I appreciate your posts around any perceived Chinese encroachment on any territories outside their legally controlled regions like HK and your views on where Morrison is responsible "The greatest trick the CCP ever pulled was convincing the world they dont exist " China is very effective at legally gaining mineral rights concessions ( as much as I hate the word " neo-Colonialism 101" ) throughout Africa from failed African leadership or corrupt leadership like we saw in Angola, Zimbabwe and Sudan. If governments are foolish enough or greedy enough to sell assets to China we cant blame the Chinese but it does lead to anger and dislike of the Chinese later on from citizens when they realize what they have sold to the Chinese....but its not the Chinese fault in this example IMO because leaders, PM and presidents agree to this https://www.dw.com/en/resistance-growing-to-chinese-presence-in-zambia/a-47275927-0 Morrison is doing the same and it demonstrates terrible integrity , poor moral compass and a lack of simple patriotism
  13. So you of the opinion that Port Darwin should belong to Oz and not this Chinese company which translates to the CCP owning it ? I agree But its seems your government is flipflopping and allowing this to occur, your current government should be voted out for selling such an asset to the CCP...it would annoy me as well. When are your next elections....I get seriously confused with all the PM changes but your current PM needs to go if he is fine with this
  14. Welcome back, I was worried about you because the last time I read one of your posts you mentioned you had the virus ....glad you okay
  15. Winter is coming to CPT and its getting light much later so I have worked out its best to start my walk at 7 am and by 7:10 or so its fine as the sun rises and I get to experience the beauty of early morning activity Last week I came across a dead Tammy Cat on the side of the road which had been hit by a car, a few days after that I saw cat owners had put up " Missing Cat " posters with a photo of their missing cat which looked exactly like the dead cat I had seen in the same part of my walk. So I took down the owners cell and phoned them to let them know what I had seen Anyway it turns out it wasnt their cat and their cat had come back but it was the cat of an elderly cat owner who now had closure and also nice to know other cat lovers had phoned them to let them know they had also possibly seen their cat on the side of the road
  16. Morrowind, I am about 20 hours into the game and its been a great and rewarding experience. I do enjoy the Bethesda RPG Sandbox design. The world is huge and full of things to do from the dozens of books to read around lore to the myriad of quests and the sequence of when you need to do them. Yes this is true sandbox and with the assistance of Mods Bethesda are the undisputed masters of this type of RPG At the moment I am just trying to survive in the game world financially and enjoying finding places based on the " directions " of NPCs...." go east past Fort Moonmoth and take the trail to Gnaar Mok " ....its always rewarding not having a blinking cursor on the map making it easy for you
  17. But when you say state sponsored how would individual states pay for these projects, for example infrastructure projects cost billions ?
  18. Seems like something greedy, lazy socialists would say
  19. How else would you fund the majority of government initiatives and work without tax revenue...how do societies fund anything without tax ?
  20. Unfortunately its more than trolling. Its an absolutely, trenchant mindset that some people on both sides (classic left vs right ) of all our political systems have that leads to them unintentionally and intentionally demonstrating they are hypocrites and flipflop on certain issues with their words and sometimes their words and actions, like Antifa justifying violence or some Republican members of Congress trying to lesson the seriousness of the 6 January Capitol attacks I can literally give dozens of examples of this type of double standards in SA and USA from people on both sides but its not everyone on both sides...moderates and centralists are our saving grace and only real future with this type of politics and outcomes We should be annoyed and critical by how Tim Scott was treated, why ? He is giving his opinion on a subject and the last time I checked the USA believes in freedom of speech and the concept of free speech is intrinsically enshrined in your Constitution He was simply giving his opinion on an ostensibly controversial subject that because he is black he is not allowed to say by certain activists and extremists on the left and within the black community. He is not " allowed " to say the USA is not racist and the police aren't examples of structural racism. He cant give his real and honest opinion because it is assumed and demanded he must say " the USA is a racist country " I also dont think the USA is a racist country, I agree with Tim Scott and I have been saying that on this forum long before he said it now so I am not just parroting his words in the interest of some pointless echo chamber Their are examples of racism in the USA, like all our countries, but not everyone is racist and the laws of the USA arent designed to specifically target black people or other minorities. I lived in the Apartheid state, trust me I know racism and I know what a truly racist society can be So why cant Scott say what is true that many people agree with anyway ? So we should be concerned with how he was treated because its a real example this time of how liberals and the left can be seen to be truly attacking the principle of freedom of speech
  21. Weekend time so its English Breakfast time. Today I am doing eggs, bacon, fried tomato, fried banana, cheese griller pork sausages and toast For those that have prudently made their breakfast influencer I know what you thinking ....cheese grillers for breakfast !!! They work, they really do with eggs and bacon
  22. Any attempt to suggest someone of the political decorum and moral compass of Nancy Pelosi is involved in something illegal or truly unethical we should automatically reject and consider fake news I dont always agree with her but I would never question her patriotism and commitment to make the USA a better and more equal society Not all politicians are disingenuous, self-centered and untrustworthy. Some really do believe in making their country a better place But yeah the headline is misleading
  23. I dont, I must look into it. This type of crime is not common but more seasonal and involves criminal syndicates that are well armed due to the fact you can buy guns illegally on the streets so these types of security guards are normally very brave and do put their lives on the line when they transport money
  24. Actually Hoisin does work and plum sauce, you right. And I cant claim the Chinese arent renowned Pork eaters....they are
  25. Gorthfuscious please lets not play the " I know more than scientists " card, not this time Lets just accept their wasn't adequate testing data ?
