  1. Further exciting updates from my " saga of the Sword Coast" My party is mostly on level 4 and every combat is fun and high level enemies mean I need to be strategic in certain battles For example I cleared Nashel Mines but the end boss battle with Mulahey was giving me problems because he was able to Hold Person my fighters and then kobolds and skeletons spawn and the small size of the room made AOE spells impact my own party so I adopted a "think out the box approach " (I do find it annoying when enemies appear out of nowhere but I understand the developers have to create a challenge for these types of battles ) I used invisibility on my Wizard and made him wait outside the room, when the kobolds started spawning I was able to effectively use Color Spray to neutralize most of them and not harm my party. My fighters were still held by Hold Person but my archers were able to kill Mulahey but it was very close with everyone having less than 6 HP before he was killed And then Viconia has joined me, I was outraged that the Flaming Fist wanted to kill her. I am chivalrous person and always help a " damsel in distress ". I did lose 2 reputation points for this but sitting at the campfire and seeing that dusky and seductive beauty across from me mitigates that reputational damage 💞 Sadly I had to remove the sanctimonious Jaheira without losing the combat skills of Khalid which meant she had to die. But I couldnt kill her the way others suggested by using Khalid, thats fundamentally a contravention of my glowie code and Im all about the feeeelz. So I sent her fully equipped alone to fight packs of wolves and wild dogs and she didnt fight back. Jaheira loves nature so being devoured by animals just seemed fitting and humane And in the afterlife I believe Jaheria will approve because Viconia is a redemption story and its about Romance which she wanted for me anyway so I dont feel guilty at all I am now looking for the bandit camps and exploring the Wood of Sharp Teeth
  2. Propaganda piece from Yale university? @Mamoulian War Here is a video that summarizes the same study, its only 14 minutes long and the economic analysis starts on minute 4 or so And its definitely not all propaganda because they mention how 50% the Russian $650 billion foreign reserve has been frozen and we know its true because of the $ sanctions on the Ruskie central bank But the Yale report talks about the real damage to the Russian economy taking 2 years or so which makes sense if you consider how sanctions and disinvestment works
  3. That is truly grim economic news for Russia. Some of it we know is true, like there financial markets performance, and some its hard to say if it is true But considering the economic consequence of Putins War its not a surprise to hear that things like GDP has collapsed by 40 %
  4. Yes when a country is experiencing waves mask wearing make sense but not indefinitely and when there are low levels of new infections. We seeing less than 500/day But I am suggesting the UK model of success which is high levels of vaccination and then things like masks are optional. It led to low levels of deaths and hospitalizations
  5. https://www.reuters.com/markets/europe/russian-disposable-incomes-drop-q2-economic-data-paints-gloomy-outlook-2022-07-27/ Here is an updates article about the state of the Russian economy after 2 quarters, the Western sanctions are a big part of this. Sanction do work but they work slowly and in different ways depending on the types of sanctions
  6. I wash my hands when I have been to the toilet and when I cook food and its because of germs ?
  7. Very funny clip Trevor Noah is South African and he makes me laugh. But white people in SA are different ethic groups like everywhere else in the world. Thats why I often say there is no such thing as " white people " , its just a collective term. Its like Slavs are a collective term because there are different Slavic ethic groups. Its just easier to say " white people " likes it easier to " black people " but there different tribes and black ethnic groups in Africa Anyway white Afrikaans people are descendants from the Dutch so most of them have slight way of mispronouncing words and a rough way of speaking English, not all of them but most of them. Here is an example of slight Afrikaans accent ere
  8. I didnt even know there was an Afrikaans character in the DLC, I checked this video to see if his accent was accurate And its not at all, its very fake but I dont blame Bioware because the majority of gamers wont know the difference between a real Afrikaans accent and fake one so at least they tried What would be more of a valid criticism is the SJW outrage around stereotypes because he is " another " Afrikaans arms dealer and smuggler and this is more about anachronistic Apartheid era sanction busting which is a generalization and complicated But as most of you guys know I dont support or believe in SJW or the radical left outrage so its fine. But there are definitely some white Afrikaans people who would be offended by the accent and the outdated stereotype but it is funny
  9. The article makes some good points but its also misleading because the first paragraph states " The US economy has "shrunk for the second quarter in a row, a milestone that in many countries would be considered an economic recession " The US is in a technical recession because thats 2 quarters of negative GDP growth but its not in real recession which is the bad one. So its not an economic recession because all recessions are economic, the correct term is a technical recession. The US unemployment rate is less than 4% and certain sectors are seeing growth, consumer spending and investment. Its an unusual economic reality to be in but its not in " real " recession " which requires other things to be not working. Here is good link that explains the difference between recession and technical recession https://www.investopedia.com/terms/r/recession.asp And inflation is the main reason for this, Im not convinced things like student debt, housing costs or crypto crashing are as relevant as the inflation impact to overall economic and sustained growth. But we will have to wait and see how things unfold
  10. SM is much worse generally than any established and openly left or right wing media house because there is zero investigative journalism in most SM and even opinion piece journalism like Tucker Carlson wont say " lets kill all the Russian\Ukrainians slowly and wipe out there families " or similar things
  11. Agreed but thats why I said " if vaccines are available " because I also think its pointless to keep explaining time and time again the efficacy of vaccines and end of the day it still doesnt change the minds of anti-vaxxers and vaccine hesitancy people who mostly decide to believe SM and anecdotal stories about vaccines not working or being some kind of mind control or just having a commercial objective and not being medically beneficial And even mask wearing, why enforce it if people are taking vaccines because you are going to get exposed anyway during a wave because life returns to normal unless you stay at some and dont socialize or dont work with other people? Thats what the UK did and deaths and hospitalizations didnt overwhelm the NHI because of the high levels of vaccination The only exception to this would be a variant that escapes the efficacy of vaccines and then we need more serious measures like lockdowns or mandatory mask wearing ?
  12. One of the biggest and valid criticisms towards most of our governments is these types of inconsistencies around policy, its incredibly frustrating In SA we dropped all Covid restrictions. They failed anyway, we had about 80-90% of population who got the virus or had anti-bodies from vaccines . Our scientists test the sewerage and extrapolate the data and that's how they know My view is simple, if vaccines are available what's the point of any lockdowns if they fail anyway to stop the virus spreading because all lockdowns did in the case of SA is harm and destroy the economy
  13. You honestly spend time on Twitter reading Putin War comments? Yikes....how much time ?
  14. Please tell me Miranda survived, we both know how ....important she is 💞
  15. The danger is taking anything Comrade says seriously, hes like hoonding But Comrades post could be argued its a metaphor about the dying of anti-Russian\Putin hegemony and sentiment, he is not actually celebrating the deaths of people ? But yes there is a policy that @Gorth follows about people celebrating the deaths of people on either side
  16. I havent found one for Quayle, in fact I havent even met him yet in my game
  17. Absolutely and why do citizens need to question government anyway, our governments and politicians always know whats best for us Its a classic case of a BruceVCism and " problem solved "
  18. Mamie dont take the bait with Comrade unless you want to. You know he is not being serious and is trolling But I like these silly debates with Comrade if I have time because they entertaining
  19. Great points raised Comrade and dont forget that China is a more free society than the US and all other Western countries. We mustnt forget that
  20. But I always thought the general scientific consensus was that it was a Zoonotic disease and it originated from the Wuhan animal market ? Thats what I always believed because of all the other various viruses transmitted from animals, the lab story was more a theory but not as credible as the animal market?
  21. Memories and history is not passed down physiologically , you can learn what happen historically if someone tells you about it but historical trauma is not physically transferred to a baby. For example if your father is a Vietnam Viet and has PTSD that doesnt mean his children will have PTSD because lived experience creates PTSD Colonialism in Africa was started in the 1600's and there were different outcomes of Colonialism but you cant make a blanket statement that says " inequality and poverty in Africa is due to Colonialism " (and Im not saying you saying that but others do ) when there are direct and current reasons for numerous problems in Africa and these have nothing to do with Colonialism Thats what most people mean when they say " they tired of hearing about colonialism as the reasons for many and current problems " Oh something else interesting about the end of Colonialism, most African countries got there independence from the early 1960s. That was over 60 years ago so the era of Colonialism is not part of living memory for most people unless you 70 years or older https://www.thoughtco.com/chronological-list-of-african-independence-4070467
  22. The killing and deliberate targeting of civilians is always unacceptable irrespective of what side you on And war crimes are war crimes
  23. I think its important that all kids who learn history realize that most nations of mankind have either been enslaved at some point or used slaves, thats the most important thing. The pyramids for example were built by slaves and Arab slave traders were prolific in Africa before the Europeans Because there is definitely a false narrative where many young people think only Europeans\white people were involved in the slave trade This is one of the aspects of selective history that concerns me
  24. So the West funded pyramids of severed human hands, we all make mistakes ?
  25. Or after saying " I was raped " they say weeks later " I wasn't raped, I was misunderstood " and that was only after they disappeared for those weeks between
