You dont think that if you part of essential services and you working in an office 24/7 with a group of people having a party with those same people makes no difference to virus exposure because you already exposed because you seeing those same people everyday ? In other words the UK banned social gatherings because of the highly transmissible nature of the virus. But its irrelevant if you have to work everyday with people because what difference does a party make with those same people?
-
Yes and their were various pandemic restrictions and laws, outside the US, in countries like SA and UK that very few people adhered to and everyone I know broke the " no social gatherings " But I remember our politicians always got called out despite the majority of us citizens doing the same thing But in the UK Johnson insisted on Downing Street being open and everyone in his cabinet had to work and they did even before we had the benefit of vaccines. So while everyone got to sit at home in the beginning the essential services, like his cabinet, worked and people got sick and some people died. He nearly died The UK media is having a feeding frenzy over Partygate but they were fine when he was working but suddenly a " party" for the same people who work together 24/7 is considered such a unacceptable event Do you see how the outrage isnt really fair ?
-
Well he says he didnt lie because the 10 minutes he spent having 2 drinks he considered a social gathering or something similar And I tend to agree, 10 minutes and saying hi to people definitely isnt a party by my definition? And its normal in UK politics for these votes of confidence when someone falls out of favor even if its not their fault like Theresa May. His days are numbered but not right now

Whats your suggestion to mass shootings in the US?

I played TW1 and recently bought TW2 with all the DLC on special on Steam I thought TW1 was fun, not great but fun

Yes but with the amount of corruption and criminality ongoing in NZ, like the KFC smuggling cartel, you would expect NZ to demonstrate good governance. Your government has to redeem itself to its citizens You cant compare the UK to NZ and Johnson paid a fine so lets "not throw the baby out with the bathwater "

I suppose you right, its normal to overreact with politicians...its probably got to do with the general mistrust many people have towards their politicians And just for the record, I dont think your PM should have resigned. She made a mistake and it wouldnt have been fair or reasonable for her to resign over this incident
-
Yes and he has been fined already for this infringement Why must he now also resign, Elerond in life and in politics we dont want to overreact to everything our politicians do if its not criminality Especially if they good at their job, Johnson has been the PM for 2 of the most difficult UK crisis ever seen in living memory. Both BREXIT and Corona he helped steer the UK through and he should get some political credit for that I dont remember you demanding your PM resign when she was caught clubbing during lockdowns?
-
This whole Partygate was just an unnecessary witch-hunt, the UK media and political parties are notorious for this type of outrage when a PM loses favorability. Remember all the negative attention towards Theresa May even though she tried extremely hard to deliver on BREXIT she still got blamed for the impasse that opposition parties were responsible for What is Johnson really guilty of? For spending 10 minutes having drinks with most of his staff at Downing Street and people are outraged because " they couldnt party and have social functions like the PM" Except essential services never stopped working in most countries even when their were no vaccines and many people in Downing street got sick and died because they had to work throughout the lockdowns so whats the big deal about social functions for people that are working together anyway everyday? Yes he " lied " but he didnt consider having 1-2 drinks as a party...I dont either? @Gfted1 Its a storm in a teacup, your instincts are correct as usual

Wikipedia is just a reference, you shouldnt use it for the foundation of your analysis or research It can be very useful as a starting point or just a quick summary of a debates talking points but its always recommended to use other websites for information But the biggest source of ongoing misinformation around Putins War is what comes directly from the Kremlin and the current Russian media houses. And sadly many Russians dont have access to alternative sources of information so they still think this unprovoked invasion was about Neo-Nazi, NATO and Nukes ( the 3 N )

Jordan Peterson is an important intellectual and influencer, I agree with much of what he says but not everything But I wouldnt put him in the same group as the Pope, the Pope really rejects ostentatiousness and seems to absolutely care about the poor and downtrodden in ways I have never seen any Pope care in my lifetime I respect him immensely even if I disagree with some of his economic ideas Peterson is more a political commentator around SJ issues and culture wars, the Pope is ....well he is the Pope. That makes him more important then Peterson could ever be IMO

Was every Roman Catholic priest involved and was every region? I also was under the impression the RC church has recognized this terrible injustice If you follow your argument that means we can never trust any politician or any political party because some politicians are corrupt and break the law Its not really a reasonable or convincing way to accept systemic problems like this in any institution?
-
Interesting questions, I think Putin will not stop the overall invasion but they would stop shelling when the Pope is their I like the new Pope but I dont think he has that much authority, people like him but thats not the same as implementing his ideas on inequality or Capitalism or the ending of Putins War?

I recommend Sky News for detailed coverage, I have been following some of the interviews with dozens of fans who have come from all over the world and many from ex-Colonial countries which is no surprise considering the reality of the real relationship between these countries and the UK But their are fans from Japan, USA, South America, Canada, Africa, India and Australia and NZ to name a few Its been an incredible few days to celebrate the life of this iconic monarch
