heh, I'll be looking forward to that GI Joe episode then I didn't like Scrubs because of its theme (hospitals, I hate them) and its cast. so never invested into it. Community is very close to my heart, though. oh, and the first episode of Jetstream can be found on YouTube, to give the ones interested a taste of things to come https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ep1SvM5aVLA

tried Call of Duty Ghosts while it's free to try on Steam. it's awful. it's the worst FPS I've played in many years. I can't understand the world's obsession with CoD

watching two TV series currently, greatly enjoying both. first one is Community, comedy series that drew me in only with the power of its cast. but man, while it starts off slow (the pilot kind of gives you an idea: some bad dialogue, cheesy jokes and weak-ish delivery) but then it really picks up around episode 6 and really holds you all the way until the end of season 1. now I'm in the middle of season 2, and while some episodes are passable (still entertaining, compared to other stuff that's on TV these days), others are borderline brilliant (like the Christmas episode of season 2). in other words, the cast really makes an effort to salvage even the worst of lines, and while some of the characters don't look awfully fleshed out, by the time you're at episode 16 of season 2 you will have seen a wide range of emotions from all of them. overall, it's the best comedic series I've seen in a long while. the writers can be pushy with social issues at times, though (they seem to be adamant about fighting racism and sexism), and sometimes it works against them. next stop, Jetstream - a Discovery Channel Canada documentary about fighter pilot training for the F/A-18C program. it shows how officers from the academy come to the training squadron to become fighter pilots. and it's exactly what you'd imagine it to be: very detailed, very well done (both directing and production values - almost reality-show-like) look at how fighter jocks are made. if you're into jets, I can't recommend this one enough.

one of my builds in MWO (bar the paint job, too expensive for me): since then I've switched to Large Lasers from Medium ones and removed my guided missiles in favor of more unguided short range ones. proved to be a good move, since I got my best match soon afterwards: 7 kills and almost 1500 damage. and some DCS goodness: they've added a new plane to DCS World, so now people have two free planes to play with! they've also updated the free Su-25T to bring it to Flaming Cliffs 3 standards, it has a new ****pit and is enjoyable to fly now. unfortunately, the latest patch also broke my F/A-18C addon (it's dependent on the F-15, which has been changed), so I can't fly that anymore

watched McCullin, a docu about the famous British photocorrespondent. he sits down with the film crew to talk about his most memorable pictures, about being a war photographer, about his involvement in various armed conflicts. very revealing, highly recommend it.

so, now that we've seen all the money shots, is there a reason to go see Godzilla?

are you crazy? pretty much everything, it's the best sword fighting game I've ever played. it has great combat, great graphics for its time, great game play (memorable characters with distinct fighting styles). I can't say enough good things about it. one of the best games of its time

Seduced and Abandoned. a documentary with Alec Baldwin and his friend (forget the name) seeking financing for their next movie (a remake of Last Tango in Paris set in war torn Iraq starring Baldwin and Neve Campbell) during the Cannes Film Festival. the docu follows them interviewing a lot of big names of the movie industry. half are financiers, whose only goal is to make a movie that will make them a lot of money, the other half - film makers, who just want to make good movies with someone else's money. Baldwin's friend is amazing on screen, I couldn't turn away for one minute. I loved how they pitched the movie to everyone and got **** like "can you add action sequences to it, a car chase maybe?" in response. and Ryan Gosling just had me in stitches with his interview. 4.5 out of 5

tried Mechwarrior Online last weekend and ended up playing it all week. very fun game, and what surprised me the most - very fun with random pick up squads (or "companies"). it starts off slow, giving you 4 "free" mechs - trial mech that you cannot upgrade, modify or sell. all you can do is pick one and queue for a match. but the good thing is: for the first 25 matches you get huge amounts of in-game currency, so after 25 matches you can pretty much afford any mech, save for exclusive ones ("heroes", can only be bough with real money). now that I have my own mech, a whole new dimension opened up before me. you can see a lot of thought went into making the current system. you have a chassis of a certain type and model. models of any one type only differ in what type of weaponry they can have mounted and how much of it. everything else is up to you entirely. you can strip down armor, put on extra armor, take as much ammo as you think you need. I literally spend hours in my garage ("mech lab") tweaking my mech. you have to watch your overall weight (mechs have a max tonnage parameter you can't exceed). do I get a new engine which has better power (more speed) and will help with cooling (you have to watch your temperatures during the fight, if you go over a certain threshold the mech will power down to cool down, if you override this, your mech will be damaged and can even get destroyed); or do I save the extra tons and go for the large laser cannon instead; or maybe just add more armor and anti-missile defenses? what I like even more is that, unlike a certain game about tanks, which this game tries to mimic, you don't need to repair your mech after every battle with your own money, and you don't need to but ammo again after spending it in battle. so you can focus on upgrades and, eventually, new mechs. of course, this game has some serious problems, which stem from the fact that it's free-to-play. everything costs A LOT of money. a simple weapon upgrade will go for up to 600000 C-bills. you get 60000 C-bills per battle on average (depends on your performance and the outcome, a good battle will net around 150000, while a bad loss - 40000). and a new mech? top of the line chassis cost anything from 9M to 14M (yes, million) C-bills. imagine grinding for them ok, so why don't I just buy some currency? well, for one thing you can't buy anything for less than 7 USD in their cash store. and a single mech costs around 10-30 USD, depending on class and type. what's more, even painting your mech costs 10-15 USD. in other words, on the one hand this game tries to force you to spend real money, at the same time charging you so much, it becomes ridiculous. and if it was an all-around great game I would! but it's flipping free-to-play, it's full of stupid bugs after years of development, and they keep adding more exclusive mechs to the game, essentially selling power, which we all know is a big no-no. so I don't have any trust in these developers and no faith in the future of MWO. but let me tell you, when you get into the battle it's a brilliant game, very tactical, very slow paced, almost meditative. I have been craving for a shooter like this for ages. it's like playing a popular version of a simulation game online. very satisfying, and I know this game won't live long, so I'll be enjoying it while it lasts.

I had a very funky party in IWD2, also, I refused to level it up and went pretty far with a lv. 6-7 party, making fight terribly hard at times but very rewarding. I actually made it all the way to the monks in the caves

that's where I stopped and unistalled the game. the idea of an underground tunnels swarming with armed soldiers, that also has some kind of health draining mechanic active throughout the whole place just blew my mind, and I had to bail

IWD 2 has the best fights of any IE game imo (with IWD being close second), that just elevates it to legendary status in my eyes.

did you get to the bridge? or are you yet to see that fight?
