  1. just write a PM to one of the moderators
  2. don't get too exited, Volo, I wasn't arguing with him there
  3. arguing about art is just about the most pointless thing in existence. I think he's very good, and those cards look very nice. I don't care about composition, since he's not some genius painter who slipped up by working with Bioware instead of driving himself mad and cutting off one of his ears. my point was his work is better than what I see in PoE
  4. wow, great artwork! I wish Obsidian and InXile had him as the portraits guy anyway, will Inquisition be an open-world game?
  5. not sure if safe for work, so spoiler:
  6. because including them in W1 was childish and tasteless?
  7. that's odd. I set one skill to 12 in the editor, and it gave me a 4 in the game. hmmm.
  8. forgot to mention, if you do end up editing your save, skills have values that are multiples of 3: to have Toaster Repair at 4 in the game you need to set its value to 12 in the file
  9. it's better than starting the game over simply because you made a mistake during character creation. for example, I accidentally set one of my chars' Intelligence to 1, bumping the skill right next to it instead (was tired and didn't notice it was the wrong skill). I only noticed it after completing Highpool. I can't be expected to start the game all over again because of a mistake like that
  10. you don't have to start over. open your latest save file (it's .xml, so open it with any text editor), scroll all the way down to where you start seeing attributes listed (or, alternatively, do a search for you party's leader's name) and edit their attributes to whatever values you want. you can also change around their skill values and a bunch of other stuff
  11. I had the same thing happen to me, in the beta build I couldn't get the unique item to drop. I did find it in
  12. I remember that place. there was an easter egg there in the beta, I wonder if it's still there
  13. I think they implied they didn't want to release a game that wasn't "fun" or something. as in, the issue was not of a technical nature, they just couldn't design the damn thing. that's what I'm so puzzled by
  14. Blizzard stated they felt more safe (or whatever the exact wording was) developing the same 3 franchises instead of trying to make new ones. and it boggles the mind, because that's what small studios do when they get a hit like Diablo (well, of a smaller magnitude) - they keep milking it, because it is a safer investment. and Blizzard has so much money. but they feel it is better to waste 7 years of development (in wages) than to actually try something new? and it's better to develop a new Diablo or Warcraft game for half a decade, making sure it's as polished as it can be, because their reputation of releasing extremely well polished games is more important? what does it tell me: they can't release a game that's just slightly better than any other game on the market. their game just has to become the biggest thing of the decade. somewhat like Valve, that doesn't want to just release a new Half-Life title: if and when they do, it will have to be ground breaking. and that's ridiculous.
  15. well, they're not Blizzard so they can't just admit creative stagnation is their modus operandi
  16. man, the prison is easily the worst area in the first Act (and Titan canyon is probably the best). what the hell were they thinking passing that area
