  1. You really have strange requests. I dont know if even the half of those requests add something to the game.
  2. Yup, see: www.ageofempiresonline.com I played the demo at the gamescom, the gameplay is exactly like AoE2, 4 resources (stone is back) and gather points are in use again, and you can garrison units in towers :D. But we are getting offtopic now! True, but it sounds interesting what you are bringing up. Back on topic, I liked DS1 and DS2. I don't feel DS2 destroyed the franchise, and in fact feel it built it to be better for the SP portion. There are some things I probably would have changed for the MP portion, but I still think it was a really good game. DS2 wasn't a bad game, but the multiplayer was weak, after 2 plays, I was played out. In DS1, I found a secret area I have never seen before a few months ago. I still occassionally play DS1, I haven't touched DS2 for 2 years now.

  4. One day, DS1 will have a remake. Im sure of it. Same happened to be favorite franchise before DS1: Age of Empires. They ruined the entire franchise, and I was hoping for a remake years ago, but everyone kept saying: nah they won't do it. And now we have: AoE: Online. It brought back the same feeling it had back in 1998. I played the demo at the gamescom, and it was really magical. I felt like the same kid back in 1998 when I discovered AoE. DS1 was also a top-quality game. Just keep in mind, DS3 is not a remake, so don't compare everything of it with DS1. It is a new game, and Obsidian is doing it's best to deliver a good RPG. If there are a few little things that remind us about DS1, I will be a happy man.
  5. No thanks. Jeremy Soule is the man for this job. He did develop better skills after TA. Just listen to the music in Morrowind. DS is no DS without the athmospheric music of Soule. Man, I even play Dragon Age with the music from Dungeon Siege 1 on the Xbox.
  6. Good to have another true DS fan here! I completely agree with 1. The athmosphere of DS1 was really magical, when I think back about those days, I caqn still taste that feeling a little bit. Although the screens of DS3 indeed look dark and grey, I can assure you, the outdoor areas look very colorful. I have seen the demo at the gamescom, the player was in a forest-like area which lightly resembled the forest of the farmlands (startlocationm ehb map ds1). I don't know about 2 though. It could be fun to create all your party members, but isn't it more fun to have heroes join your party on your journey?
  7. The first disappointment already
  8. Was the inventory shown? Were you at the gc? Do you have a picture? Can you explain the inventory? Yup, I saw it at the gamescom. I don't know if im allowed to talk about it, if I am, I will gladly tell you about it, and maybe even make a sketch of it. I dont have pictures, we weren't allowed to take pics, but I do have a nice inflatable sword with the DS3 logo on it, and a Fallout: New Vegas shirt .
  9. It's unique, it has it's own style. But I don't like the inventory though .
  10. I can't see how can someone ruin Dungeon Siege "Oh noes there are too many polygons on my karakters it ruins my Dungeon Siege immersion, also there is actual story oh noes x10" Wow. Just... wow Never seen so much ignorance in 1 post. Grats mate.
  11. You dont have to tell me anything about developing personal skills, and discipline. I practice Bujinkan Ninjutsu, and I probably have 1000 times more discipline than you, and I probably know more about personal skills and self-creation than you ever will. Sorry for the off-topic message btw
  12. Just saw Square Enix's line-up, no DS3
  13. Does anyone know if New Vegas is still on the same engine as Oblivion/Fallout 3? I would love to see a new original engine created by Obsidian.
  14. I would appreciate if a dev could comment on this (if possible off course) It indeed feels like 1 world. Exactly the opposite of the world in Dragon Age. DA is a good game, but I miss the big map.
  15. Hmmm, I think I will start soon. Nah I got my hands full with my hobbies already, and soon college is starting too. Designing the website requires some time, but running it isn't that time-consuming, once you have some staff members. When I have something up online, i'll let you guys know. I will start small, with only news, then I'll see how it will develop.
  16. I'm talking about the towns & the teleport system. In DS2, each act had it's own town, and there were waypoints back to the town. You also had the teleport to town spell. Do you want to see that back in DS3? I personally don't want that. Let me explain: In DS1, when I was playing, I really had the feeling that I was really on a journe through vast lands. It had a special feeling. You never knew when you could make a pitstop. You really had the feeling that you were tracking in the wilds. They ruined that for me in DS2. Yes, it is nice that you could sell away your junk at any time, but that destroyed the adventurous (sorry for my bad spelling) feeling. I rather explore the thich bushes and the vast deserts with a fully packed mule, not knowing when I can make a pitstop, rather than having the feeling that I can return to shop an restock any time I want. What do you think about this?
  17. You dont think DS2 was disappointing? Thats rare. RARE? I've not met anyone who was disappointed in DS2 or thought it was worse then DS1 in person. I've only met people who thought DS1 was better when talking to people over the internet. I LOVED DS2. Maybe it's just the people I know (they say like minded people hang together) but those I played with thought DS2 was the best action RPG since Diablo 2. Dont get me wrong, it was an excellent rpg. I like ds1 and 2 even more than Diablo 2, I played Diablo 2 when it was new, still, the DS1 experience was unbelievable for me. Even though DS2 was improved, it didnt feel right. The stats for example, in DS1 I always knew what stats I would have at certain levels, but in DS2, the stats were like 100+ after a few levels. Way too much. And the gameplay, I hate the diablo 2 system with the 3 towns & teleporting system. DS1 was way better. When we were tracking through secret forests, we never knew when there was a shop coming. It was really exciting. They killed that excitement in DS2 with the town teleport stuff. Maybe that is worth making a topic for it's own? I hope DS3 doesnt have the same teleport system. For me, that ruined DS2. It was still a good game, but I only finished it 3 times. You dont wanna know how much I finished DS1 .
  18. Who else is going? Im going 1 day, I think the sunday (last day). The booth im going to is the Squeenix booth offcourse, or the Obsidian booth if DS3 is there. Guild Wars 2 will also be playable on the gamescom.
  19. 2 years ago, a hosting company offered me a deal: for 5 euro, I could have a .EU domain. So, I registered dungeonsiege.eu. I feel that now is the time to do something with it, right (doh, with ds3 coming soon)? I love creating and running fansites. I was part of 3 great fansites in the past: Age of Mythology Holland, Age of Mythology Center, and Age of Empires Village (created by me), the website that got me onto the local newspaper frontpages . I had contact with the devs (Ensemble Studios, may you rest in peace), and I even managed to score a few exclusive info/interviews and screenshots. I miss those days! I want to relive those wonderful days. My last attempt was 2 years ago, with Demigod. I created Demitemple.com. But I quickly lost interest in the game, and the website died an awful silent death. Now it's itching again. Will DS3 worth my while? Shall I go for it?
  20. You dont think DS2 was disappointing? Thats rare.
  21. No thanks. Even though random dungeons aren't that bad nowadays (Torchlight has very nicely filled and skinned random dungeons), it indeed kills the atmosphere. The game is called Dungeon Siege, so it would make more sense to have pre-designed large rich-filled atmospheric dungeons. Random dungeons don't add that much online gameplay, I remember Diablo 2 having that feature, but the dungeons still felt the same every time. Just a different path to walk, thats all. So: No random dungeons please!
  22. Like in DS1. It was awesome. I dont know why, but that just feels much better.
  23. I think it will be at the Squeenix booth. It was also the case with Supreme Commander 2, the last Gamescom.
  24. It won't happen. Microsoft doesn't want Live to connect to PSN users. Thats also the reason why there won't be a Final Fantasy 14 on the Xbox.
