  1. Yeah, but I meant currently. Also thanks Alvin for the information.
  2. At the moment he's a senior programmer.
  3. I've looked at the thread for "The Banner Saga" over at SA and apparently Chewbot who wrote the excellent Oregon Trail and Animal Croosing LP's is the games writer. That has put it immediatly on my "To Buy" list.
  4. ? No, Avellone and Cain are on South Park.
  5. Chris has one hell of a shedule.
  6. I'm in the middle of reading it too. It's incredible so far and sheds light on a lot of things. 100% buy for every Obsidian/Troika fan or people interested in game developers/development in general.
  7. I recently rememberd that the book "Gamer's at Work" came out in February. It's available here: http://www.amazon.co...k/dp/B0075QT5Q2 I then searched for previews and found this http://my.safaribook...zAyMzM1MTAvODU= (They block out the bottom-half of the pages. The Feargus Interview starts at page 80.) It seems to go very in depth about Obsidian's beginnings and the challenges they faced both internally and externally.
  8. From Dorkly http://www.dorkly.com/comic/33251/the-videogame-hype-chart
  9. On his blog http://twofoldsilence.diogenes-lamp.info/search?updated-min=2012-01-01T00:00:00-08:00&updated-max=2013-01-01T00:00:00-08:00&max-results=3
  10. Keybinding has been added on 31 July if that's what you're asking.
  11. I wonder if that pitch still exist? Edit: And unannounced.... hmmmmm.... Edit2: Though, of course could also have nothing to do with Obsidian.
  12. You may have misunderstood that article. Those were pitches sent to Matt & Trey to see what they want in the game. They were EXACTLY made for Matt and Trey to provide feedback. Especially regarding Quest Design you shouldn't worry to much with Obsidian behind it.
  13. @Brayko: You can get it cheap. So, do it. The game itself is probably Obsidian's most "solid" title so far. The gameplay is remiscent of the older console BGDA games/Gauntlet. It's combat focused and the outward story is intentionally kept simple but gets actually pretty great when you dwelve into the backstory, connect and learn new things about the main npc charachters (Sadly your own party stays somewhat bland). It's ~12-15 hours long and it plays mostly the same during its entire playtime but due to the short length thankfully doesn't overstay its welcome.
  14. Great Read. I never actually played Wasteland but I'll try to in the near future.
  15. I agree on everything else, but.... That's not really true. DA:O was pretty buggy. Edit: Also I'd argue that NWN2 vanilla had more bugs than K2.
  16. AP didn't have nearly as much bugs as NV, so that's a weird comparison (Was still buggy though, of course).
  17. Young Justice (at least the version you linked) is a cartoon created by Greg Weisman who also did the Gargoyles and Spectacular Spider-Man cartoons (Both incredible awesome). Young Justice... Sadly, isn't that great. It's still above average for a kids show. But it's nothing special and there's not much to hold an older audience. So, meh. (To be honest though, I quit after a few episodes so maybe it has improved) Edit: Weeeeell, I still have to give it credit for making an Aquaman like charachter actually pretty capable so there's that.
  18. Wait, what? Because of one "bad" game you want an entire studio to go under? Not to mention the same studio who did Riddick and Darkness 1? Sorry, thats kinda dickish.
  19. Avellone Tweet It's the best day an Obsidian fan could possibly have. (As a fan of course)
