  1. No the game should only feature white Anglo Saxon Protestant heterosexual male characters. Do you not realize how bigoted it is to not want minorities in games? Or they should be but shouldn't ask for it? Let me just get back to the back of the bus with Rosa Parks then. I guess the difference here is if people are asking for equal treatment or for special treatment.
  2. Ehh...I guess we might see about that :-/
  3. The romances will probably be in, Obsidian will probably try to subvert big heroic cliche ("great life" quote suggest that) so they'll probably implement some romances with tragic endings. Something like Madison romance in AP. No I'm sure Obsidian is just waiting until the kickstarter is over before they announce no romances. Too bad that's Obsidian, not EA games. Better withdraw your money now if romances are so important to you and not playing RPGs, because I don't want to hear a lot of complaining when they announce they don't have the resources to invest in romances. Romances are just a nice addition, not a requirement for me, and if Obisidian didn't want to include romances they would say that they don't see place in the story for them instead of coming up with a pathetic excuse like that. They would also probably announce it either before the kickstarter closes (when they decide to give more details) or during the development (if they haven't decided yet) instead of waiting for kickstarter to close like some shady publishes. I didn't imply shady practices, I just meant they would wait until after the kickstarter to announce there would be no romances. And if that happens the "I gotta have romances" crowd is going to complain about donating money to the kickstarter. ...yeah...just like the (smaller) "No romances ever" crowd is going to complain when the opposite strikes true.
  4. ehh...why not. As long as NPCs don't switch their preferences due to the players whim. That just makes for cr***y characters.
  5. I voted no...though I don't feel too strongly either way. If they implement firearms that will make the whole setting more steampunkish' which is fine in my book.
  6. I think it'll barely scratch 3 Million (wouldn't mind more, of course). Most kickstarter projects really wind down a lot after they meet their base goal and PE seems to fit the bill nicely so far.
  7. Warden's Keep? Not to mention the sequel. That was optional DLC, though. Was there player housing in DA2 ? I didn't play it to completion, truth be told (what a letdown to the first DA, imo)...however I wouldn't call the house of your Uncle player housing -if that's what you are referring to. It was more a base of operations.
  8. Expansion packs favor the player (a lot of content for a reasonable amount of money) (small) DLC favors the developer (little new content for a _relatively_ high amount of money). The results of this poll are no surprise. However, the recent rise of DLC is hardly happening because developers don't understand what their playerbase wants, it happens because it's been proven to be a good way to increase revenue.
  9. ...Dragon Age didn't have player-housing. Baldurs Gate 2 did however.
  10. 20ish seems to be today's standard for sp RPGs...I hope it'll be a lot longer, though.
  11. Tell that to the NWN community? That's funny because I remember back in the day there was a Bioware forum post that basically stated that only like ~20% of all players of NWN1 even started one mp game. Most bought the game to play the sp campaign and never touched mp. No thanks to any form of MP. We need every little scrap of devtime / resources to make the sp campaign more awesome.
  12. As a native german speaker I don't agree with the OP. Don't waste any effort on multi-language support. I'd much rather have the player housing...or wearable tophats. Anything really.
