Ah. So accosting a teacher, or speaking out against the curriculum in an attempts to disrupt the class is still A-OK, because children (deemed minors, and hence of limited rights and privileges) are fully protected under the first amendment, right? If children are not deemed capable enough to vote, why are they fully protected under rights that they presumably (through the fact that they are a minor) don't fully understand.

What? Does this also mean parents can get sued for telling their kids that they are not allowed to wear a particular shirt as well?

You watched Yahtzee's review? No I actually played the game before and the dust isn't anything subtle that's exaggerated for comedic effect, it will actually hinder your game. The only thing that pleased me was looking for the radio on the enemies camp and shoot it to stop that unholy "reaggeton" sound. Everything else felt a little weird, the obsession (and lack of explanation) with vehicles, awkward game mechanics and lack of inspiring moments. I liked the dust in the game personally. It was annoying that the AI could see you through it, but since the game wasn't particularly difficult to begin with. I liked MW1's story better, but pretty much everyone I know considers MW2's single player to be so absurd that it's worse than BFBC2's/

I collected the weapons, but missed a ton of the MCOM stations so I have no idea about them The guns are just "collectibles" in that you unlock access to them from the crates you find.

I enjoyed the BFBC2 single player, mostly because the dialogue is crazy and over the top. It's an action movie. I love BFBC2 MP, and they just released a patch that toned down mortars on vehicles and whatnot. The fact that you can be rewarded points for doing so much more than just killing the other team is such a fantastic idea IMO. Just remember to hit the 'spot' button when targeting hostiles, and you'll be twice the player of most BFBC2 players without even firing a bullet ;P

Even on first playthrough? I was honestly expecting the game to be shorter so this is wonderful news.

The thing I like about the boxart is that I think it continues a trend established by previous games. I like nods to the predecessors like that.

That's the way I see it too. It seems people clamour for "unique and original" but a lot of the time, doing something that is "generic" is the move that actually makes sense. I mean here come a bunch of army soldiers in a military game. Oh, well they look awfully generic, what with their military fatigues and equipment and stuff.

I certainly am looking forward to it. As a slight aside, I find it funny when people complain that Thorton looks generic, yet that is a characteristic that is actually beneficial to a spy.

I hear the term "generic" so much I am no longer really sure what it means. I think it's like "epic."

Portal was actually pretty influential on me rethinking length as a metric for determining value of a video game. Though it was part of Orange Box for me so the cost was pretty minimal.
