ha, took it right out of my mouth seriously though, X-Com (or UFO, w/e) has got to be the best TB-game and one of the best games of all time, JA2 is small time compared to this mammoth) XCOM was a fantastic game, but JA2's Turn Based Combat absolutely demolishes XCOMs.

Helping the NCR is how you join up with them

The thing about Harlequin is that everything that doesn't agree with his opinions and views is a personal sleight against his very being and character. He's the poor victim in everything you know. No. You epically fail to understand the point that he was making. As usual. One would assume that if they weren't particularly bright, or if they were insecure and had a persecution complex. You can rationalize your defensiveness all you want; it doesn't mean you weren't overreacting. We're jumping on you because you have a history of being excessively defensive and playing the victim. You dug your own hole here (though I wouldn't be surprised if you, again, completely fail to recognize this point.

Well. The problem is, Baby. He speaks his lines. Like he reads. Them. And stops. Like I'm stopping. With what. I Type. But the real bad thing is that he says everything like he's reading it from a paper without regard to the situation. If you tell him you're going to kill him he just calmly says "cash me out here" like he was asking someone to go fetch him a coffee. I think that that makes sense for a character like Benny however.

You can't have Boone with you and talk to Legion.

move the lock pick left or right and try turning it. The more it turns the closer you are to the correct position. Adjust accordingly. It's basically a hot/cold system.

I would guess that depends on how successful it is.

It serves no gameplay purpose outside of casinos. It's pretty much the 'casino gun'. And it's the gun I used to With sneak 50+ you can bring your own pistols/revolvers into the casino. You don't need the .22. Actually, not quite. What Mr. Holdout says is misleading. You don't need a sneak check at most casinos to use the holdout option. Only one casino has the sneak check for it, in fact. The rest have it by default. And it's only a limited selection of weapons that qualify, such as the .22 and 9mm. I don't think revolvers can be snuck in at all. I actually used the sneak option in the one casino that required it without having the required skill, but it still worked. I imagine they made it so you can always sneak in holdout weapons but they probably couldn't remove the line at the time due to Localization issues and whatnot.

My favourite are one people discount "fan impressions" that are positive, but gobble up the one that some guy wrote that was unimpressed People will believe what they want to believe

To be fair I believe his clothes is actually armor haha.

It came in handy after I ganked one in one of the casinos when I was weaponless I also had max guns which also helped I'm sure.

??? The DT of Reinforced Leather is 10, and the only energy weapons that doesn't exceed that are the recharger, gatling laser, and pulse gun. Every pistol except the .22 Silenced is able to exceed that as well.

I liked listening to Boone's stories. Boone plot spoiler: I also enjoyed Veronica's stories. I think I'm in the camp of Worst Username in that I liked that they weren't overly grandiose.

because I didn't see it that way it says +5 critical chance, not +5 luck in the description. point is, if I can get away with 3 luck, and only using one piece of gear (head, where you don't get anything useful 'til endgame anyway) can get steady criticals, what's the point of having a high luck and sacrificing END or PER? +1 luck = +1 crit chance. It also gives a small bonus to all of your skills. It also you luckier in the casinos as well. I'm not a 100% sure, but I also think luck improves the loot that you find in the game (I found a Laser RCW in Goodsprings with 8 luck which I didn't find with my luck 5 character). Given all perception does is increase the range of your radar.....I'd argue Luck is a much more useful trait. It's also fun IMO. In reality I think almost all of the SPECIAL attributes have their place, and it's perfectly valid to play through the game with focus/deficiency in them, with the exception of intelligence which has always been the most useful attribute in my opinion.

Luck isn't useless IMO. It's a ton of fun and very handy at the beginning of the game especially. What weapon are you using? If you have time to crouch and pick people off in the head without VATS with ease, my guess is you're getting sneak attacks. If you find luck useless though, then why did you take perks (and wear a helmet) that effectively improves your luck in combat? Because that's all you did.
-
It means that you're overstating how frequently you got critical hits, or have other gear. Unless you're counting the sneak attack which is always a critical hit. EDIT: Virumor, isn't it 1% crit chance per luck?

When you don't know of it, it comes off sounding pretty strange. I did come across another vault but didn't have the explosive technology to deal with it. When you have a slide saying that the NCR marginalizes the effectiveness of the powder gangers get immediately followed by how the powder gangers go on a reign of terror in the region, it comes across sounding a bit strange.

Producing units was never time accurate in the Civ games so I wouldn't use that as a measurement at all. On a side note, I do not find expanding culture to be very difficult, especially since I have decided that money exists in this game to be accrued and spent. If you're playing on a very slow time setting (epic or marathon) then it will be a problem for sure. Though a well placed scout can often take care of barbarian spawns as well.

I had comments about how the NCR wiped out the NCRCR, and on the very next slide I was informed of how the Powder Gangers terrorized the area for some time.
