  1. I was amazed what I could do with 1500 dollars when I first built my own system. Of course, this being the first time and all, there were rookie mistakes and hang-ups and foibles and the like.
  2. I noticed they put that out there every chance they got. It sounds delightful, and could be a very good way of doing things in the future. I also think there could be enourmously different gameplay experiences each play through, given that it downloads user content (random), and you can create totally unique and difference characters each time. I'm hooked....how much longer again?
  3. Wasn't it possible to have dialogue trees in Morrowind? I remember there being sometimes when I would get actual dialogue options...and you could make them through the construction set... It's been a while... Anyway, if what you say is true, there is hope yet!
  4. Vampire horsies suck! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They certainly do. Anyway, I can't wait. Not that I'm getting this game on release, but this is definately one step closer to the ultimate goal. Also, I need a game to really test out my new rig.
  5. Yeah, I'd imagine this game has TONS of replay value *drools*
  6. ...ghosting, blurring, etc. takes place on most LCD screens while watching movies, playing fast-paced games (FPS' mostly), etc...basically, it jus' be the screen catchin' up ta the action on screen, so a li'l blurrin' or shadowin' be visible...in order ta curb this, the higher-end models usually 'ave a response time at or under 16 ms bwb (black-white-black) (DO NOT be fooled by an 8 ms grey-to-grey response time, as it usually means around 20 ms bwb)...jus' look it up fer a more in-depth description, as ya knows I's rather lazy when it comes ta stuff google-available... ...WHO LUVS YA, BABY!!... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Huh...I don't know if mine is highend or not, but when I play FPS (Half Life, for example) It looks the same or even better than my last CRT monitor. I don't notice any ghosting or blurring...
  7. How so? I'm using my new 19'' LCD from some off brand company I think (X2gen) and it has an amazin picture. Looks just as good as any CRT I've seen. It's also about 10 percent of the weight. What is the ghosting and other stuff, anyway?
  8. Not too bad. I might just get it for the HL:Source alone. It's definately worth the price.
  9. I'd give sex to whoever did these projects.
  10. *ahem* The more I think about it, I probably should have gotten A Raptor. Ah well, I could always get one later.
  11. www.pandora.com You search a song or artist, and it creates a free (commercial free, too) radio station based upon the type of music you searched for. Pretty cool
  12. Filefront is being difficult, and I can't locate another site (even Lucasarts) that has them. I searched the forums, but quite frankly, the feature isn't handled too well...
  13. Built on an ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe motherboard AMD Athlon 64 3500+ 2.2Ghz 2 Gigs RAM 2 Geforce X6800 GS 256 MB Video Cards (running in SLI) 24 Bit SBLive! 250 GB Seagat HD
  14. Waiting - A movie about what goes on on any given day at a restaurant. Really "struck a chord" with me, so to speak, as that is my current industry. It's funny, and so much of it is true. If you really want to know the kind of things that can go on in a restaurant, check this one out.
  15. I can agree with this. I imagine Star Trek somewhat bridges the gap. Sure, it's based on science...fantasy science. If something doesn't work, they'll make up something that will make it work.
  16. Survival of the species. We learn things from our experiences (or the experiences of others), and we learn what causes us danger/harm. It's what tells the deer to run at the sight of a human these days.
  17. For example, a species evolved to "develop" this magic, thus, technology would be part of the world, but would it slowly die out? That kinda thing?
  18. Anybody know of any other place I can get this texture pack? JP's site and Gamespot are both going and about 6K per second.
  19. Oh, and thanks for the help.
  20. I suppose I'll have to get used to it, then, hehe. Won't matter much when I'm gaming, I figure. Now I'm enjoying Sirius Online
  21. Ok, I figured out the root of the problem. The Creative software had the system set to digital output only. When I unchecked that, I had sound! Now there just this slightest "hissing" sound when I use the mouse and keyboard...
  22. Isn't it obvious since I'm still asking for help? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Try clicking on the link. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I did. They were of no help. I've disabled the thing in my BIOS and as far as I know, there is no way for me to disable anything via Device Manager.
  23. Isn't it obvious since I'm still asking for help?
  24. Hey, you guys. Let's focus on the problem at hand here.
  25. Thanks for the help.
