All the ones I've seen do, including the recommended ones. The day settings look NEVER right. I will admit they have some nice depth of field and they can look cool in dungeons.

To be fair, I had already seen all the other screenshots on their official website, forums and Kickstarter page and was curious about what game the other was taken from

If by next-gen you mean "vaseline all over the camera" anyway.

DarnUI + oHUD.

All good choices, if you ask me. I'd be iffy about the world map, but the last Final Fantasy I played was X and it still had it, even though it unlocked rather late. ATB was awful and I never understood its success. Lacked both the strengths of real-time and turn-based.

Always weird to see someone get to interviews before funcroc. I'll read in a bit, but darn it, Josh with a beard. I'm like.. wow. (And inarticulate at that. And tired.)

Obsidian currently working on next-gen console title

Yeah, I did. Similar job posts have been put up by Obsidian in the past for the South Park RPG, which isn't a mobile/browser-based title. -
Obsidian currently working on next-gen console title

Ehr, just because flash is listed as a requirement doesn't mean that they're working on a flash game. Besides, this looks like a temp contract for South Park. -
For all that I'm very wary of buying the title, I have to admit E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy has a lovely look to it.

This is what you said. It speaks for itself, you're making a correlation. Maybe it wasn't your intention, but there's nothing you said later that even hints you had a problem exposing your opinion, you seem to be pretty convinced that its success derives from the marketing surrounding it rather than inherent qualities of the title. Then you went on with this: You outright said that Rock, Paper, Shotgun was making your same point, but they aren't. They're talking about how the indie label has been stretched to the point that it's losing its meaning, while Limbo would arguably fit into how it was originally used. Finally, as a little aside mention, ad hominem doesn't mean what you think you do. I never attacked you, I don't even remember what you posted in other threads besides this. I attacked your arguments about Limbo and its reception, because I don't think they hold up. You think they still do and uhm, more power to you I guess! An ad hominem argument would have gone pretty much like this: (made-up example) "Oh but you're the same guy that thought Mass Effect 3 is a masterpiece *rolls eyes*" P.S. : I'd imagine Limbo is a game that gets hyped on Steam because.. it's on Steam. Other games probably didn't end up there, for various reasons (maybe the developers didn't want to put it there? maybe Steam refused them? I don't know) and didn't get such a visible platform.
-
You were implying that Limbo succeeded because people were somehow scammed into thinking it was good, and that was done through the careful construction of an "indie cred" surrounding the title. I don't believe that's the reason for its success, but it seems obvious that you do, and I guess it was pointless to make you consider the alternative when you're adamant about it. The Rock, Paper, Shotgun piece is about a broader, different subject altogether (whether the "indie" label still makes sense) and.. uh.. it doesn't really support or hinder your point. It's just something else entirely O_o'

Maybe you should wait until we have info on the game's mechanics before getting depressed about them not being faithful to the PnP mechanics, especially when they're collaborating directly with the man who invented the game?
-
From what I've seen of both, the difference is night and day. One is a cheap game with really really poor production values and gameplay but, surprisingly, salvageable writing. The other is.. bad in every possible and imaginable respect, good only for the unintentional comedy.

Obsidian currently working on next-gen console title

That's p. close to one of Avellone's dream ideas. -
One of the reasons they were happy about the license was that they had a basis for the mechanics instead of having to do them from scratch themselves. I seriously doubt they want to revolutionize the mechanics, though they're probably going to be adapted in some ways, I don't think the title will be, say, turn-based.

Those mechanics are shared by online pawns too. In addition, you also get ratings/pre-written messages from other players on your pawn when it gets rented by people online. I thought it was a gimmick at the beginning but.. it turned out to have been an enjoyable system.

Vision doc coming later today, for now enjoy the new concept art.

Oh, uhm, I finished Dragon's Dogma (post-game included). I expected it to last more honestly, the main quest feels badly signposted to me, but the ending.. that was amazingly weird. I'll give the Ur-Dragon a try in NG+, I think.

that fake picture again ....?? EDIT: Wait, can't I delete posts? I didn't intend to double-post, so I was going to roll this stuff in my previous one.
-
No reason to expect any, even if they have a project. They simply wouldn't have had time to get it to a level where it was ready for an announcement.

F:NV. And, uhm, I think Neverwinter Nights 2 might have sold that much? I don't remember how much KotOR 2 sold, but I don't think they reached numbers in that ballpark (market wasn't as big at the time though). That said, I'm pretty sure Neverwinter Nights 2 (assuming I'm remembering that number correctly) sold that kind of numbers during its lifetime, while I'm pretty sure that THQ wants 2 mil copies *fast* to recoup the development expenses. I'm not really sure why the game would need that kind of sales: Trey and Matt cost a lot of money? They're pouring a lot of effort into marketing? Good luck Obsid and THQ. Well, mostly Obsidian, since THQ recent classy moves such as trying to hide the closure of their UFC studio during E3, so I'm not sure I really care that much for them. Then again, Darksiders

Not seeing Dragon Age similarities besides, maybe?, the color palette. Looks like standard-ish MMO combat, and has a bit of an unpolished feel with the floating badly positioned loot. I like that it has a minimalistic UI though, I don't really like the look of most MMOs UI, cluttered and ugly. Of course, I don't play them, so there's probably a reason they are that way
