  1. You're forgetting something. Jamie tells you his augmentation order finally arrived and there's a big ass blue "lamp" next to him. The second place where you can find it is in the VersaLife UC, also pretty much impossible to miss. And yet on my first playthrough I managed to complete the game without it.
  2. Avellone got quite angry at a spoiler for KOTOR2, going from his twitter. Nice spoiler for the opening of K2, buddy. lolz
  3. Writing in Deus Ex is far from perfect as I've already said in other threads (story structure, dialogue etc. without even mentioning voice acting) but, the industry standard is still as low as ever.
  4. I agree. From recent IGN video. More ugly then supermutants. I'll be honest though.. I know people who have the same facial structure in RL. Yeah, ugly people exist IRL too! (I still have to find someone who looks as deformed as Moira though)
  5. Well, faces do look bad, but there's just so much you can do with facegen. I felt Dragon Age had that problem too, though the facial animations were miles and miles ahead of Fallout 3 (and New Vegas). I'd prefer if they went the Mass Effect route and if they created a couple of customized heads for plot relevant characters though.
  6. You mean that augment that sucked bio energy? It's.. not exactly the same thing as having health regen always turned on without drawbacks. You call that minimal bio-energy drain a drawback? It's still a drawback, especially considering how power hungry other augments were. And you also seem to forget that you had to find that nano augmentation. I, for once, never grabbed it. So yeah, there was technically some small health regen, but the game definitely wasn't designed around the idea that you'd be able to simply stop and regenerate your health. Depending on how fast paced the game is, health regen could work (heck, I actually liked it in Dragon Age), it's just that I can't picture the system in a Deus Ex game.
  7. Human Revolution is a prequel, nano still don't exist in the game.
  8. It's golden, not brown, golden! It's all just one color though. I hate that. They easily could have made it more colouful. How can you hate gold? How can you? You must be a communist, like LoF. P.S. : I was joking by the way, I'm not a fan of the color palette too, but at least, it gives the game personality, and looking from the screenshots, is mostly limited to the outiside/night locations.
  9. It's golden, not brown, golden!
  10. Well, that screenie is actually pretty bad as far as interfaces go, and the text size is also pretty small compared to the normal text size used with the item names and stats. It could probably be resolved, mind you, but I doubt it was high on the priorities list.
  11. When was this confirmed? Why has it taken this long to implement this? This long to implement this.. in the Deus Ex series or in stealth games in general? Because I'm pretty sure the feature has been present in game for years. E.g. MGS 2
  12. [generichardcoarrpgermode] It's because of the.... consoles. [/generichardcoarrpgermode] Seriously though, while I would have very much liked them, I don't think there's a way to fit them considering the enormous text size. I'm pretty sure they'll make a mod just as with Fallout 3 though.
  13. Whether any and all changes will be seen as improvements depends on the individual players. I for one LOVE the Blade-Runner-meets-Ghost-in-the-Shell look and don't care whether or not it looks too advanced, but if one is the type to scream that Eidos Montreal is raping Deus Ex canon, then one is probably not going to see it as an improvement. You have to admit though : Ghost in the Shell looked much cooler.
  14. You mean that augment that sucked bio energy? It's.. not exactly the same thing as having health regen always turned on without drawbacks.
  15. You mean the guy talking in the video or the game's voice over? Because I couldn't hear anything at all.
  16. I. Was. Just. About. To. Post. It. I HATE YOU FUNCROC! HATE YOU! By the way, I'm pretty sure that's not the last build, considering that the supermutants still use the old Fallout 3 model.
  17. While still not on the 'must buy list' I must admit it leveled up from 'cautious optimism' to 'optimism'. EDIT : Completely OT, but I noticed just now that both I and Morgoth have an avatar with EJ Olmos. With a mustache.
  18. I'd say if health regeneration is the only thing they changed from the original gameplay and the rest is simply improvements, I can live on with it. By the way, the screenshots look great.
  19. Sarif. Trailer is fab. Won't stop the negative nancys from complaining though. Well, maybe I'm not looking in the right forums, but there's been much less complaining than with e.g. Fallout 3, though. And yeah, I've been one of the complainers too about this game, doesn't mean I'm not interested in it.
  20. I must say, even with my complaints about the art direction, this game is giving me a good vibe. Well, except for the art direction and health regen. I'm pretty sure I'll hate that design decision in the final product. But I'm much, much more positive than I thought I would be. I'm keeping my eye on this, for sure.
  21. I personally never had a problem with the Fatman. Ok, I'm lying, I always had problems with Fatman. Two problems, actually: 1) Tons and tons of mini nuke, for no reason, in the Capital Wasteland.. hopefully this problem will be addressed.. granted, every weapon had this problem, but with the Fatman it just stretched the suspension of disbelief and until she were torn apart, and then raped her corpse; 2) It was unbalanced, imho. It had almost no drawbacks and since in Fallout 3 damage was only barely influenced by your skill, I could easily kill a behemoth with two shots. By the way, who decided to place the weapon in the main path of the game? Placing a couple of Fatmen in hidden locations in the game, possibly giving it one or two to the Brotherhood, would have been better, imho. As long as the balance problems are addressed and the Fatman has real drawbacks (but it's also powerful enough with the right build) I have no problems with it.
  22. ... so basically they made us wait weeks and weeks for a dev diary.. that repeats thing they've already said on the forums and interview? The team seems very committed to the game (though the look in the eyes of the one that's talking about the 'erotic' side of the story is quite clearly that of a 14 years old hormone-driven gamer ) but I'd prefer to, you know, hear new informations.
  23. By the way, Josh, since you're watching, tell Larry Liberty to talk a little bit more fluently the next time he does a podcast interview. By the way, I think the only new information we got from the podcast is the confirmation of the return of spore plants and a couple of informations about the radio stations in the game. EDIT : I've finally realized that I hate podcasts. The volume was all over the place, sometimes I couldn't hear a thing, sometimes it broke my ears, and also, to be honest, I get the feeling that as much as Captain Liberty tried to be helpful, the interview would have been much more interesting with a designer or someone that knows the gameplay mechanics better.
