Witcher 2 'leaked' video
I'm simply going to copy-paste my comment from the Iron Tower Forums : Just saw the first four parts of the walkthrough. The woman was indeed in the middle of torture , but somehow she looked perfect from the angle she was shown. Roll Eyes I'm not one who easily cries sexism, but I think it's pretty obvious that most of the developers at CDProjekt are virgins. And it shows. The rest looked pretty great, though probably a bit too action-y for some. I, in particular, was pretty pleased to see that they put so much thought into an optional stealth system. Smile EDIT : Also the facial animations are pretty subpar. They're probably still being worked on.

Deus Ex 3
Alpha Protocol minigames weren't really complex though. And IIRC most of the press praised Alpha Protocol's dialogue system Tig.

Fallout: New Vegas
From No Mutants Allowed's forum. I honestly find this to be a pretty stupid addition, considering the Hardcore Mode.

More like Obsidian's previous games or more like Diablo ?
At this point there's really no way to tell. They've promised choices, deep companions, and multiple endings, but since the demos have shown only proof-of-concept quests, there's really no way to tell if they will uphold their promises. I do not agree with the notion that implies that cutscenes and long dialogue are the only way to tell a rich story though, not at all.

I'm pretty sure I'd have liked if Tim Cain and Jason Anderson and all of the crew were asked for feedback about Fallout 3 and New Vegas, so I can understand why Obsidian and Squenix are asking Chris Taylor about DSIII. Plus, it's useful to avoid straying too far from what made Dungeon Siege Dungeon Siege. Ultimately yeah, he doesn't have the final word about anything, but I still think it's a pretty cool thing. But yeah, I also still think that it was stupid to arrange an interview with him.

Who the hell thought that organizing an interview with Chris Taylor about Dungeon Siege III was a good idea? I mean yeah, he reviews builds, but he's still not directly involved.

Wikileaks founder framed for rape?
While I do find this underhanded tactics dirty and ignoble, I agree with Wrath of Dagon on this one. It's not like the United States have been the only one protesting against Wikileaks releasing the documents, and there are far more meaty reasons than just covering up the fact that war is dirty (as if there was anyone that didn't know, I guess). That said, again, assuming there has been a guiding hand in this, it's something that should never happen in a civilized country.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS THREAD!, just a dumping ground
It looked pretty polished/good for an action rpg to me, but I'm not a fan of the first two, and generally not a fan of random loot and things like that.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS THREAD!, just a dumping ground
What is all the negativity? I though Diablo III was awesomesauce? Not that it matters much what the Obsidian forums think, considering that it will sell tons regardless.

Honestly, without looking at the UI it's difficult to tell if those complaints are deserved or not. Hopefully we'll get some in-game footage soon-ish.

I'm pretty sure that they won't neither confirm or deny it since they've been tight-lipped about it even with the press. Which would point to the 'pulled out of their ***es' route, yeah.

Dragon Age 2
Dragon Age 2 is not subcontracted to any third party, unless somehow, Bioware is trying to keep it a secret, and David Gaider and Mike Laidlaw are simply talking about things they really don't know about because it's someone else doing their work. Really, I'm not Bioware's biggest fan, because, while I can understand why they keep the same formula, it's starting to be a bit tiring to me, but that's just gratuitous bashing.

That's... interesting O_O Interesting because you thought the interface was simple, because you've never heard the complaint before or..? Honestly, sorry to sound discouraging, but considering Obsidian's track record with UIs, it wouldn't surprise me. I would be glad to proven wrong, though.

Wow. The dealspwn preview was BAD. EDIT : At least it looks like they've found a 'Find game' option on the title screen. Still, they didn't even know the platform on which the game was played on.. bad is bad.
