  1. If the majority of people are not getting how the system works maybe you have to rethink at least how to present it.
  2. What video?
  3. Wow. Triss looks drunk there.
  4. Not sure if anyone other than me and Starwars cared but Cyclopean, the indie Lovecraftian RPG, has been canceled.
  5. Josh's working on other projects now.
  6. Pretty much confirmed it's a marketing stunt. Dammit. I mean, I'm happy it's not dead but they could have put it more elegantly. They've trolled me, the mother****ers.
  7. NeoGaf believes this is a stunt too.
  8. Dammit, I would be very bothered if this is true.
  9. funny thing is, with the games I've played he always nails it right on the head, every time. that's gotta mean something he might be wrong, but it's usually "right" in my book, so I tend to trust him He concerns himself purely with negatives. He rarely if at all focus's on the positives. He's a comedian. I don't blame him for that. I blame people that take him more seriously than how he should be taken.
  10. Understandable. You won't see me arguing taste.
  11. Already stated that the graphics are crap. The gameplay is not only the combat, and the exploration and interaction with the environment was decent to good in Fallout 3 so as long as the combat is moderately improved (I expect the AI to be as bad as Alpha Protocol and the shooting to be just a little less clunky) I'll be okay with that.
  12. To Nightkin in general. And you can hire prostitutes regardless of your sex which covers the lesbian angle.
  13. I think we have those two. SUPERMUTANT NINJAS. It'll sell tons.
  14. I'll stop "strawmanning" as soon as you guys stop presenting your BS opinions as facts, mkay? Bad writing, bad combat and sucky engine.. if that was true, you don't see a contradiction with a game being a huge success, getting top grades everywhere and selling millions? THINK. Nope, I don't see the contradiction. A game can be a great success while lacking in some pretty important areas.
  15. It's not as if Fallout 3 was perfectly smooth on PC either, so optimization is welcome on all 3 platforms for me. As for the supermutants, I'm still hoping we'll see a couple of supermutants with hair and closed lips, but even without them, I like the new models and the new animations.
  16. Far from infallible, they just haven't failed until now, and their design and marketing strategy are among the smartest in the industry, which is surely something that you know much better than me, being inside that industry we're talking about.
  17. The game looked pretty smooth there. Hopefully by the release date it will be as smooth in every location.
  18. Multiplayer.it videopreview from TGS Some cam footage of Black Mountain there.
  19. Did I mention Alpha Protocol there? I was just making a general comment about the lack and level of polish in different games. Since it's not really that rare to see a crpg that isn't as polished as your average shooter. But anyways do share the link, cba to go find it myself. I was sure funcroc posted it on the other thread.. And yeah, I know you didn't mention Alpha Protocol, but the thought of what the game could have been pushes the wrong buttons of my gamer side.
  20. Eh, I specifically used the plural since it's far from uncommon, and I didn't really want to be an anal grammar (spelling, to be precise) nazi.
  21. Though most of those don't actually make crpgs It's way easier to polish a straight up shooter that follows a narrow path than it is to polish a sandbox game or a crpg with actual c&c. Not to mention crpgs usually are at least twice as long than your average game. Let's be honest though, Alpha Protocol could have been polished if they didn't really fiddle with its structure and story so much. Just go and read the Something Awful topic about it and read Patrick Mills' messages. Really.
  22. I'm curious, why so many make this spelling mistake?
  23. Well, if it fixes stuff, and not just registration issues that aren't gameplay related. Sure, someone mentioned the savegame loading, but that's just one person. Not quite sure it's actually fixed until more people confirm said happening. Another guy at GameBanshee confirmed that fix and also confirmed that the game runs smoother with the patch.
