Direct2Drive has the exclusive rights for the digital Collector's Edition. Which is basically the normal edition plus a digital version of All Roads. A bit underwhelming.

Any idea when the first reviews will pop up? At this point the previews offer little to no new information.

New Vegas is already in the best sellers list of Steam before release. I imagine it was like that with Fallout 3 too, and I'm not sure how it's faring compared to other similar AAA titles, but I see the potential for it to be the most successful Obsidian game ever. Let's hope the execution lives up to the hype.

I might actually buy this issue. Dungeon Siege 3 plus some other interesting previews. In case you decide to buy it you'll tell us what's written there, right?

Apparently the Eurogamer demo was really easy. EDIT: Note that another guy says in their impressions that the demo was hard. Weird.

Again, it's a tutorial. If the NPC just gave you the ingredients it would miss that step where it teaches you how to pick them up in the first place. Yeah, you could argue 'even a 5 years old could do that', but it wouldn't be a good tutorial if it was all based on that assumption.

To be fair, it's the Survival tutorial. It's basically meant to tell you how to pick up these things in the gameworld and then use them to prepare the healing powder.

No, I think pretty much everyone does, but the alternative would have been a cluster**** like NWN2 so... I appreciate that they didn't fiddle with the renderer too much.

While they still have to do a lot of explaining about how exactly the Strip works in New Vegas, I'm digging its design. The contrast between the Strip itself and the Wasteland (and even Freeside for that matter) is really powerful from an artistic standpoint. Even if the engine itself is still as bad as ever, I'm digging the visuals of this diary.
