  1. It's not really a matter of perception when a preview state that the combat is more fluid and natural and that the game feels cinematic and has finally left the 'mute player character' relic of the past behind. Not every preview I've read was positive, that's for sure, but most of the previews I read were. I haven't been following them much recently, so maybe I missed a barrage of super negative previews that somehow hint at reviewers slamming the game? Unless "slamming" his code for "another Awakening" which was solid on metacritic but not quite on the same level of Origins.
  2. Note that a good deal of two handed melee weapons also have pretty steep str requirements from what I've seen, so they may be slow for that reason too. Especially since, weirdly enough, rebar clubs and bumper swords are far easier to find than nail boards.
  3. It serves no gameplay purpose outside of casinos. It's pretty much the 'casino gun'. And it's the gun I used to With sneak 50+ you can bring your own pistols/revolvers into the casino. You don't need the .22. Maybe I didn't have sneak 50+? @virumor: It's likely a script error, because they take weapons from the other companions. And I think they should take the C4 too, but that may be intended. @ladycrimson: Light armor doesn't slow you down. Medium armor slows you down so little that it means very little. Heavy armor slows you a bit, but unless you're using melee/unarmed and have to follow escaping enemies it's not really a problem.
  4. Yup. gives DT, though I don't remember how much.
  5. Previews seem pretty enthusiastic so far outside from Germany. Germany is a big market but ultimately Bioware can go on without them, and I honestly doubt gamers care a lot for german reviewers. Not to mention that basically the only criticism of that german "review" (? seems like a preview to me, why the use of the term?) is that there are not enough NPCs in the city and that the game is buggy.

  7. There was no word of it on Squenix's financial report and the official word is still 2011. I guess a lot will ultimately depend on when Diablo III is going to come out.
  8. It's north of Goodsprings, following the road, just south of the Tribal Village (the one overrun by the Cazadores). If you read the comic book prequel it makes sense.
  9. I've seen the grand total of one karma dialogue option in the whole game, so I think we can all safely say that it's a useless legacy mechanic that Obsidian should have removed and kept for nostalgia's sake.
  10. Considering you've already seen the flaming sword and likely already seen the other off-screen videos of that presentation, it's unlikely you've seen more than us, so I'd say no, sorry.
  11. No, it isn't, when a game is moddable like this game is, people not doing something like that would show a lack of interest if anything. Not to mention that Bethesda & Obsidian haven't stopped patching the game, official fixes will still be forthcoming. Some questionable "fixes" in that patch though, like the time extension for the find the virus quest.
  12. Those were used in Kotor too so I'm not sure I see your point.
  13. To use a typical Volourn expression FO:NV's companions >>>>>>>>>> KOTOR2 companions Being a little more serious, I find the fact that FNV's companions have "real world problems" extremely refreshing since Obsidian's writers had been kind of prisoners of their own fantasy-ish trappings lately. Honestly, the KOTOR2 companions have all greatly interesting concepts but.. there's rarely more to their character than that concept. And it was also a Bioware game in structure, which means that the companions were pretty much forced on you. Forcing companion on you in Fallout is a no-no. Personally I enjoyed almost them all, though I kinda wish there would be more to some of their quests.
  14. I've posted the wrong link earlier. This is the correct one, since I doubt you guys speak my language.
  15. On that matter RPGItalia has an enthusiastic 'impression piece' based on the closed beta of the game. They even award it a score of 9.1 even though I'm not sure why since it's not a review.
  16. Things are getting weirder and weirder Also the **** does the title mean?
  17. o rly? you mean it's possible to drive it too? Nope, obviously you can't drive it, but the car itself is in. It's simply a little nice easter egg.
  18. Urgh can't edit it. It's just the first hour anyway. EDIT: Arcania add-ons in 2011
  19. The car from Fallout 2 is in
  20. Two Worlds II first two hours
  21. Fallout: New Vegas' art interview brought to us by the folks at GameBanshee.
  22. It could have been written better I guess. Personally the NCR didn't get control of the Correctional Facility in my playthrough, so the two slides went hand to hand (I never visited Vault 19 either).
  23. First community patch This seemed like the appropriate thread where to post it.
  24. Chaos erupting in Westside, North Vegas Square, the underground... it would be quite a lot to manage for the Followers. Even with a safe Strip.
