  1. Right click on Fallout: New Vegas line on Steam -> Properties -> Updates -> by default it's set on 'Keep this game updated' (or something like that, I have Italian set as my language for Steam) and there's obviously another option to not automatically update the game. Simple.
  2. If you don't want patch downloading themselves you could set the option in Steam, you know.
  3. **** Yahtzee! He's a dumbass! A ****ing joke! I'm sure he didn't even play Fallout 1 and 2! Heck! He said that RPGs should have Leisure Suite Larry's dialogue system! HE SUCKS! ...was that okay Pur?
  4. I'm not sure about the exact condition, but I'm fairly sure that killing a certain number of Nightkins makes him angry. I did kill some Nightkins in my first playthrough but left most of them alive (I didn't have Boone with me! ) and he was willing to talk to me. May have been the character's sheer charisma though.
  5. Zork may be longer than Black Ops. Clever design. Now the replay value is guaranteed!
  6. Morrowind was pretty good about it, but I admit, I sometimes had difficulties finding locations because.. well, I have difficulties in real life too. That said, Oblivion and its successors (including, yeah, New Vegas) abused the quest markers in my opinion.
  7. Voice Recording finished? Doubtful. Haven't they just begun?
  8. Exactly! But being a little more serious, I understand why for Tale is a loss, being an Alien fan, and I can understand that the concept has a lot of potential but... but.... there's nothing in those screenshots that tells us anything aside from the perspective and the fact that the Onyx engine looks nicer now.
  9. This came with essential enemies. They fixed that. That's about it.
  10. Pretty much what I expected. Depending on how long it is and how satisfying is the combat, I may grab it as a budget title.
  11. "canon" was probably the wrong term, but I see Lexx's point. Personally, I think that Dog Town is a pretty bad idea for a DLC-focused location, and I always found it one of the weakest ideas of Van Buren in general, so I wouldn't be enthusiastic about a DLC set in it.
  12. Except that its Frazetta who defined much of fantasy in general. Most of what came after were copycats. So much for your knowledge of fantasy illustrators Which is exactly why your post didn't make sense. Dragon Age 2 art is pretty obviously inspired by Frazetta's work too.
  13. Yeah. A forum where Josh posted about how tyte was the game. A flood of information.
  14. To be honest "fantasy" is much less specific than "WW2". It can really be anything, it's just that they play it safe and go with generic medieval-like fantasy with dragons, unicorns and naked female elves.
  15. Why are you guys all so enthusiastic? We know nearly nothing about the game. It could be a generic 3rd person action game for what the screenshots show.
  16. Looks, well... worse than DSIII. Captain Obvious says that the engine (and artists) have made progress. Little to no indication to how the gameplay would have played out, except that the camera angle looks weird.
  17. "BG2 did it" is not really an excuse in 2010 anyway.
  18. Clearly, he was serious.
  19. Cliff Briscoe shows up during the final battle controlling Dinky the Dinosaur. Apparently he is the true mastermind behind Caesar's Legion. I thought it was pretty stupid how we go through this wild west frontier/manifest destiny tale only to end up in a Godzilla knockoff. But what are you going to do? You have to admit that the reveal that Dinky was actually a prototype of a superweapon created with plans stolen from China was pretty cool. As was the Metal Gear Solid 4 knockoff with the final unarmed battle on top of Dinky. Really cinematic.
  20. A little more than 100 employees, but they're usually split on a lot of projects at the same time. Really, I don't think there are complicated explanations, it's just that Obsidian is not good at scope managing. Bug fixing is the responsibility of the publisher. Of course, but Obsidian has a history of buggy games across many different publishers! And ironically, the only relatively bug-free game they managed to put out (Mask of the Betrayer) was with a publisher that came out with a mess like Neverwinter Nights 2! Seems clear to me where most of the fault lies.
  21. Apparently mages can kill bosses with one spell, according to PCGames.de. Not even KOTOR2 reached those levels.
  22. A little more than 100 employees, but they're usually split on a lot of projects at the same time. Really, I don't think there are complicated explanations, it's just that Obsidian is not good at scope managing.
  23. Everything you need to know about Johnny.
  24. There is a (not really advertised) US only patch for the game. Considering SEGA's attitude towards it, that's probably all we're going to get. And yeah, that's sad.
