The whole ME3 ending DRAMA is so ridiculous. It really need to stop. MCA is spot on listening to the fans, Based off of community mods. Surprised they didn't pick op on the huge UI mods that were probably the #2 in downloaded.

He's a romance character, for either Male or Female Shepard. Still pissed you can't romance James. He's the only decently written character that doesn't have DEEP DRAMA TRAMA, or Daddy issues etc. Pity. Oh well. Guess I'll try the same sex Romance a try with Steve. I wonder how cringe inducing this will be....

I just finished. I don't get all the RAGE over the ending. I thought it was kinda cool. Now to play my Female Shep and romance Mr. SEXAY James! <3 Oh and playing the entire game up to the final mission, AND THEN just discovering the Weapon Upgrade terminal on the ship.... Priceless. I played the entire game with level 2 weapons. I thought this game seemed just a tad bit difficult. r00fles!

Agreed. Publishers do not fund cRPG's anymore. Just Action games. It would be a horrible action game abomination based on a great cRPG.

Bought Gemeni Rue a long long time ago, just never had the time to play it. My gawd, this game is FANTASTIC <3 It's like I took a time machine back into the past when they used to make good old Adventure games.

If you could somehow secure the usage rights to D&D (and HASBRO/WotC's Marketing Department didn't make crazy demands for using it), finish The Black Hound for us. ;_;

I would cash everything I have in the bank and give it to Obsidian if they did this: Onyx Nights 1. An open-source 3D engine similar to NWN2 (so the ****ty camera can always be programmed correctly). 2. A scripting system that is easy/robust as NWN2. 3. A rules set that is fully customizable (as in it could support any rule system). 4. A ****ton of art assets including medieveal/modern/space. 5. Tile and 3D environments, just like NWN2. 6. Very good modding support for 3D models (3DS Max and that open-source one). 7. Combat can be turn-based or RTwP. 8. FACEGEN (so you can create as many new/different looking NPC's) and Speedtree 9. An easy to use yet powerful editor that is also open-source. Basically take all the bad from NWN2 like it only uing the D&D ruleset, and open-sourced and very very modder friendly. If Obsidian truly cared about the cRPG genre, they would spearhead a game developed like this. That said, they are however a business and need to make something that would be profitable for the company. They probably could re-tool the onyx engine already to do all of the above. There you go Obsidian. This is something you could give to the entire cRPG community and it would only continue to grow and thrive.

Been playing Valkyria Chronicles on the PS3. I LOVE THIS GAME <3 <3 <3. Absolute blast.

The Mass Effect series was never stated as a "OMG SERIOUS BUSINESS" RPG. It is only a B Movie Space Opera, which it delivers.

Who are these "most of the posters" having total ignorance? Many of our regular posters love and enjoy cRPG games and mechanics and discuss them in great detail. VD left for his own reasons, and then DarkUnderlord took the site over. VD has no Admin capacity on the site now. Well if you continue to love the current crop of craptasitc "Yet another action game with little or no cRPG mechanics labeled as a RPG #64573" that Publishers continue to churn out, I guess enjoy your game. The Codex only wishes Publishers would take a look at some of the classic cRPG mechanics and allow a Developer to make a game with them. Similar to what Obsidian did with Fallout: New Vegas.... As one of the sites forum moderators, I'm not sure what you are implying with this statement. Do we on occasion get "racist, neonazi and spam" posts? Certainly. With our Open Registration policy, that's always bound to happen, though most of that behavior usually stays within the spam forum.
