I seem to be joining everyone else in a rough night and ugh start to the day. Had trouble sleeping, spent a few hours staring at the dark ceiling and hearing/feeling my stomach "burbling" away before managing to start dozing in and out. Spent a chunk of the morning in bed with that mixture of half in and out of faded consciousness and trying to let a headache die down before pushing myself out of bed to see what needs to be done for the day...

I remember hearing that it's getting a 5th season is the really big deal for syndication. Getting to that 100th episode is a really big thing... Agents of Shield kind of reminds me of The Man From Uncle in a way. It has that vibe of cheesy fun in general, but everyone on screen acting as if it's deadly serious even if they know its total pulp silly. If they can settle the characters down over the next few episodes and maybe start revealing some of those hidden hooks rather then keep laying out little bits of mystery, I can see them getting another season fairly easily. Hm, I've realised I've got the whole first season of Revolution stashed away to watch but haven't done that yet. Might make some time to make a start on that over the weekend and see how that shaped up.

Garg. Tech support to family is not a fun thing. Especially when it's disabled mothers who are cranky and in pain and suddenly realised x isn't working and when you try to explain things that you've explained every other week for the last x months rather then listening and learning, insists on basically doing the "I'm old and don't know computers" pout. Damn it, she oversaw switching over computer systems on cruise ships in the 80's. Why the hell she can no longer learn what it means to right click on icons, and not loading the desktop up with 30 billion crappy 2kb games, and all the rest of it.... Then her dvd player on her laptop isn't recognising disks, and she finally notes that the old multiregion dvd player for the tv went away when it got replaced by a Blu-ray player last year and she's been buying shows on Region 1 dvds to watch and is annoyed she can't watch them now and.. Yeah. It goes on like that. I feel like I'm about to run up the wall and eat shoes.

Hm, in comparison I have my "everyday walking" shoes - which are actually caterpillar hiking boots. A pair of formal black shoes. A pair of classic white/black two-tone leather shoes. Plain black trainers that are seriously getting worn... And a pair of snakeskin cowboy boots...

Not sure if the lethargic feeling through most of the day was caused by not being able to start the day off with a cup of tea as normal, the blood they took, or the three hours sleep I had. Probably a combination of all three... Still, tis heading towards night and I am ritually crumbling a Cadbury's flake into slowly boiling milk.
