  1. That fine balance of pandemic responsibility, against "lets wait until more Cinema groups are bankrupt and closed down."...
  2. There's some crunch time with work this week, big mass of data extraction to start tomorrow so I'm trying to not think about any of it just yet. Running through some old music, and its interesting, if I hear the various songs from the Buffy the Vampire Slayer music (Teenage FBI, Temptation Waits, I Quit, Over My Head, Virgin State of Mind, It Doesn't Matter, Wild Horses, etc) for some reason my mind goes to Shadowrun and I have the urge to dig into my old books and start messing around with character design. If I start listening to the soundtrack of Twister (Humans Being, Virtual Reality, Talula, Darling Pretty, Melancholy Mechanics, etc) my mind jumps back to Mage the Ascension and the spark of fiddling around with paradox and probability characters....
  3. "Do you ever think its a crutch, I mean, blaming everything on the problems your parents had? Don't you have a responsibility to yourself to eventually cast aside the crutches and meet new challenges?" "If the parent-child bond is diseased, you have a better chance of being a sociopath then being well-adjusted. I consider it a triumph of the will that there aren't shallow graves dotting my backyard."
  4. Well it does look like it'll be more entertaining than Ready Player One.
  5. "Well, Ozymandias sure was wrong about a global catastrophic event uniting everyone." "Imagine - Alan Moore's view of the future actually proving to be too optimistic."
  6. One giant circle... And then filling in the gaps...
  7. Completed all but 5 of the journey steps in Conan Exiles now. Kind of just started meandering around and building stuff just to see what I can come up with. I saw someone do a speed build of Minas Tirith on youtube and tempted to try that out and see what ideas it might give me.
  8. Although there have been a few studies showing that while the death rate might not be the thing to worry about, there is a higher increase in long-term physical issues for surviving it. But as I recall it was more around "people in x age bracket are at much reduced risk of death. But higher risk of life affecting disabilities." I wonder if they'd pushed that aspect people would have worried more and reacted to it. People aren't that scared of "you might die" but telling them "you might have long term illness and crippling medical bills" might make them think more.
  9. Although you do have to enjoy the potential irony of the situation. Trump possibly caught Covid off a woman. A woman named "Hope"...
  10. But the odds of it being some form of psych-out, that he'll turn around and do a "See, surviving Covid is easy and no hassle and it isn't as serious as people say it is" while at the same time using this news to drown out the questions over his support of white supremacy... ?
  11. Virtual meetings are basically modern seances. "Elizabeth are you here?" "Make a sound if you can here us." "Is anyone else with you?" "We can't see you, can you hear us?"
  12. Gamespot - Cyberpunk 2077 devs reportedly working 6 day weeks to finish the game
