  1. https://www.indiewire.com/2020/12/jason-momoa-josh-brolin-defend-villeneuve-warner-bros-fight-dune-1234604046/ Villenueve's saying that WB's decision to split film releases over stream and cinema could kill any decision to let him film the 2nd part of Dune.
  2. One thing that might entertain you even with that.. is that every single piece of garbage you see, is a complete item elsewhere in the game. There are no "generic rubbish" items. Everything is an item that has been rubbished.
  3. Just that city skyline as you look out... And quietly cruising around the city...

  5. Heh, well so far I've spent just over 11 hours playing around on Cyberpunk...and I still haven't got Silverhand in my head yet. I just keep wandering around in the city, poking at gigs, various side quests that pop up, and exploring the place.

  7. See, my initial idea is to play Street Kid Female V, Male Nomad V, Corpo Female V, then flip it. My introductory meeting with the first RipperDoc and you do get the greyed out dialogue option of "Yes, I'll pay you 21,000 eddies for this" and the open "I'll have to owe you". Which suggests its perfectly feasible I could have wandered off and done a bunch of side stuff and raised that amount of money before meeting him. After two hours last night before sleep, and an hour over my lunch break here, I haven't delved too deep into things, but there is so much out there in Night City. Its amazing, but I think it has that potential lack of coherency? All these possibilities that aren't directly tied to the story plot. So yes, I wake up in my apartment, a possible virus on my system, Jackie is waiting to take me to the RipperDoc... That's the obvious, as a player feeling its necessary to do that first. But I could have wandered off and raised that much money doing other things and then met Jackie there.... So I kind of love that it has that feel of possibilities to it? But I wonder how much more the "main" storylines will have that feeling of timed impetus which would feel like meta-gaming to ignore and go spend hours doing other stuff. From the atmosphere so far in-game, I could definitely get lost in doing other stuff and enjoy it, but I can see potentially having that slight head-clash as a player if it keeps having those elements in the main story.
  8. The fun is figuring out just how many "accidental" methods of execution there are to find. Once you get your mind around those, going in without weapons and ramping up the difficulty isn't quite as severe as it might sound.
  9. So, as taken 2 hours past launch...
  10. I've only had one small glitch, when I looked in the mirror after putting a hat on I was suddenly bald with no headgear in the reflection. The moment I took the hat off, my reflection was correct hairstyle and all. Starting off as the Street Kid you don't really get to see great views as such, it's very crowded in during that opening. Sure, you have a short ride around in a car and what you do see is really atmospheric, but it's tight streets, reflected neon lights, and a lot of rain. Then it's all inside buildings with that claustrophobia. Plus a certain sense of information overload, especially if you're the type to hit the scan and look around - Suddenly it's all "object on the ground" "vending machine x" "item y" "person D" "dead body"... But it does look pretty. Surprising how much of the trailers of the game turned out to be part of the montage "half a year later" sequence after you meet Jackie. All these clips that people had been analysing as to what they might mean, what potential storyline aspects they could have... And they are just part of a montage. 😄
  11. When you get that view from the apartment...
  12. Starting out with that Street Kid female V.... (No crashes just yet...)
  13. I'd make a witty comment, but I have the game playing...
  14. Mine just completed it..
  15. Yup, it took about 5 minutes to stop doing the "Go back to sleep samurai" message.. and now it's spent 7 minutes on "Getting File List" for the release update...
