  1. Get the unlimited saving mod, it will make your life easier.
  2. SO...I trained for the better part of 4 hours with Bernard only to run into a bug where I apparently I committed a crime by hitting him and cant talk him out of it. I also can't beat him cause the game won't let me hit him. SO... what should i do about my 4 hours and this ****ing game.
  3. i don't have problems with combat at all, what is your level in warfaring, weapon skill and defence? Because more you train easier it is to pull those combos I agree but at the same time it is nowhere near useful since I can't consistently pull those combos because of dumb reasons like timing and enemy parries/dodge. The frustrating thing is that Bernard manages to do this consistently just because the AI is programed to "learn" so that you can't constantly attack the same spot, which at some point becomes any point at all. Meanwhile I have to use block leagues before the parry sign appears on the screen if I want to make a successful parry. Edit:Yeah, its the timing of it all that bothers me. All combos have different times when you should strike and there's a lot of guesswork involved. Which means that even if you have done everything right you can still get it wrong because you missed a beat. Edit:Edit: My levels are 20 strength, 17 warfare, 20 defense, 20 sword. So in trying to learn combos I level 3 stats to their cap, all because the game doesn't bother to teach you the timing of the combo perks you unlock and apparently timing is important, as well as the added hassle of angle of attack.
  4. Whomever designed the combat system for this game is a right prick. Its better described as trying to thread a needled at reflex speeds while keeping the beat to a song. In short, combos and parries are damn near impossible.
  5. Heh. I'm just replaying Tyranny because DLC is on sale yadda yadda, and much as I like the game, I'm really struggling to finish because the combat is just so bad. For some reason, designers figured that it made perfect sense for enemy casters to have higher defenses and physical resistances than melee fighters, as well as comparable HP, becuz muh challenge or something. Game's combat is plagued with that sort of stupid ****. And it's one of the newer iso CRPGs, you'd think they would have it down pat by now. I'm much happier after switching to story mode. Shame this game doesn't just have a killsw01 equivalent that I can use to reduce the time wasted to a minimum. I more than fulfill my raging quota in PUBG, thank you very much. Don't need any extra aggravation. I really never had an issue with the combat in Tyranny, I mainly play a caster though. Have you tried min maxing, and choosing some spells to buff your characters skills? I just spam Lore training so I can open with 3-4 max damage storm-style spells and the combat is finished even before lord somethingorother has finished blabbing about this or that. Or buff myself to 300+ parry with mirror image and exploit riposte with a vampiric weapon, and sit there cackling and repeating "stop hitting yourself". It's nowhere near as fun as it sounds, really. You have specific caster-disabling abilities (such as Eb's drowning effect) that fail 90% of the time because casters are more physically durable than frontline fighters, so there's little point in using anything that isn't brute force. And then you have Lantry's anti-mage stance which, with a sufficiently low recovery, allows him to keep several casters locked down by himself. Bah. And that's on Hard. So I just set it to easy to avoid the cheese-fest. Click that, stuff dies, next talk. My point was that the combat system is... bad, the tuning is worse, and there is just so much of it. Or you just haven't figured it out yet. I swear to God I found this system very easy, I barely lost any encounters and I usually struggle with CRPGs. I usually build my teams having a dedicated healer and a control mage. The other two are a tank and a DPS. Again I never had any difficulty with this game, IDK why is so hard for you; personally I just think that there's something you must be doing wrong, no offense.

  7. Rabbit is pretty tasty. I love horse meat, best thing I ever had...I also would like to try giant Tortoise I hear they're delicious
  8. For a second there I actually thought that you had attacked you neighbor.
  9. Why does this sound like a Dara O'Briain joke? Because it was on Mock the Week
  10. I'd say that its a wait for a sale for me, they need to work out some kinks. Yet if you enjoy Gothic, ELEX or any other game where you level up into competency this game might be for you. Although it is definitively not a game where you wanna wander around since the main quest tutors you in a lot of different aspects.
  11. You mean approximation and translation of reality into inherently unrealistic media by creators will inevitably be different from approximation and translation of reality you would personally expect from inherently unrealistic media? Well that is one shocking realization. I mean that I bleed and die in 3 hits because of not wearing armor but I can't rush kill a sleeping man because his shield blocks my hits even as he is in the middle of standing up. When I say arbitrary is code for incompetent.
  12. From this day forth I shall understand "realistic" as arbitrary and please don't buy my game.
  13. I like him, the cynic in me says that he's just grabbing for his 15 min of fame but also that he is playing the game masterfully. I can't fault him for taking advantage of a good situation.
  14. What kind of stuff are you both guys into?
  15. We live in the age of information, therefore we live in the age of misinformation.
  16. So if you keep getting Chlamydia does it count as an addiction?
  17. Yes, but the population of Britain was also almost completely replaced around 4500 years ago. More NeolithicPOC than MedievalPOC, one might say. (It's been a good couple of weeks for random research into British population genetics...) So if Black People can appropiate British culture because of far away ancestors can I finally say ****. My great-grandma was black.
  18. Not to mention enable "God mode" so you don't even have to worry about silly tactics. Don't believe him, there is no such thing as tactics in RPGs. Just stats.
  19. For most people this is an actual trailer, for people that know WH40k this is surely a joke trailer.
  20. They are inaccurate as they poorly reflect intent and depth and as such are not suited for sciences.
  21. Sucks, perhaps you can get a refund and revisit after patches and a sale? Maybe a hardware issue. It seems fairly well optimized for my build luckily. Intel i7 and a gtx 1060 - I had a AMD before and always had problems with Crytek's engine. Stuttering, ctds etc That's plan B, right after I actually try the game.
