If they do I just hope the don't crumble under the inevitable "the console version plays awkward" cries afterward and make the next Witcher console friendly.

After the Earth started beaming Jersey Shore reruns from a satellite the whole universe became dumber.

"Cowboy Bebop is good in spite of its animation. 100% of anime animation sucks. 99% of the stories and characters suck. Let the flaming begin!" I simply forgot an added word. I'd define anime as the whole package... all the anime tropes etc. Yeah, not all of them contain every element. Part of what made Bebop good was that a character didn't get upset and have a squigly line appear over their head followed by their already large eyes going titanic saucer plate sized when angry with flailing limbs etc. The animation for me is just... horrendous. Bebop would come on and I'd see the animation and I'd say **** this and change the channel. I finally caved to all the positive things said about and actually watched an episode and enjoyed it in spite of it's animation... and the spiky hair on... Spike. The whole sci-fi space cowboys/bounty hunters really appealed to me. I became more open minded about anime, giving other shows a chance but they were all horrible. I hate this recent trend of popular game series getting a cheap anime movie. The sensibilities of the game rarely match up with Japanese writers. Just look at the atrocity that was Halo Legends. Just out of curiosity, what do you consider good animation?

The PC master race has no need for auto aim like the console plebeians. Plus the PC graphics are top notch, dem textures.

The biggest complain one could have about the combat would be that it wasn't as versatile as it should be. There are only 2 truly useful signs, potions are actually very useful but in the end everything boils down to melee. But it was overall, quite complex but could be played very simply. Strongest point of the game. Gerald still looks like albino monkey's ass, though.

Fallout (which happened to be released before Black Isle was officially created) You forgot something on your post. fixed it

I'm speaking purely out of those films direction, not their earnings. The film suckerpunch was marketed as from the director of Watchmen and 300 because of their popularity, outside of a following and those knowledgeable of comics he isn't known. I doubt that just one bad movie will be the ruin of him, specially since he has had such a profitable run; hell M. Night Shaymalan still gets work. But I would like to see him develop a style as director beyond filming blue and orange action flicks, because he really is a good director.

Pretend that the old one is broken and that it would be cheaper to get a new one.

Aesthetically pleasing female character designs.

Consider the following; video game's target demographic is male, the majority of game developers are male (women only make 3% of the industry) Women may be gravitating more towards video games but they are still a minority and on the developer's side there isn't enough knowledge of what a realistic representation of a strong woman is (hell they can't even do realistic men, but we don't complain) Plus I don't see them rushing over to change things since the target demography is still predominately male. -
The quintessential Zack Snyder movie: lots of gore, nudity, some emotive completely irrational excuse for a plot and everything is shot through a blue or yellow filter. Seriously though someone introduce that man to the rest of the color spectrum. Maybe he is actually good at telling a story but it's not what I've seen from his films and not what I've come to expect from him. He is very visual with his treatment of a story, sometimes it works like in Watchmen, Dawn of the Dead and or Legend of the Guardians. Unfortunately he is better know for what its his substandard work.

Yeah but don't take it over to the ME thread, we are talking quantum entanglement over there

I figure that anyone that went to see Suckerpunch because of the plot is an idiot and/or will be turned off. There's not a problem with the plot of Sucker Punch, IMO. I think there is a problem that the ads make it seem like a weirdo alternate reality action film but that's not what it is. But I thought the plot worked. All I know is that aside from Legends of the Guardians plot isn't Zack Snyder strong suit.

Yeah we have gone a little off topic. Still a little related since aside from the economical causes for crime there is vast social aspect to it. Even going back in time you can see structured crime, which is the endpoint for a lot juvenile gangs. But from what you say those boarding school gangs seems like a they only dabble in crime whereas on the other hand most of the high school gangs are just a social group with some ties to people involved in actual crime. Also in the same fashion a lot them don't end up becoming hardcore criminals, provided that they stay away from the system.

Went back to a truly great song

And then we realize we are discussing the science of Mass Effect thanks for the info though.

Inside the Collector's base in the middle of a black hole that swallows every form of energy, I don't know much about quantum entanglement but I think that energy needs to travel.

See that just breaks the immersion for me since I know for a fact that medieval people didn't bathe. Hell I don't think the bathtub was even invented until the 1600's King Arthur had a hot-tub, so did the Romans. Romans had bath houses in which they got together to ogle young men and King Arthur wasn't real. Also when have you ever seen a clean peasant or a bathtub in a king's bedroom, Hollywood doesn't count.

No, I actually enjoyed that too and didn't see much handholding in DA:O What I refer mostly is "Commander Shepard we have conquered the reaper, we should plant the bomb and leave this collector base" "Shepard(thinking) Mmmh but all this technology may come in handy against the reapers" "Illusive man: Shepard I need you to go ahead and not destroy the base" "Shepard: how the hell do you get a phone signal in the middle of a black hole? Nvm that, I was just thinking that but now that you say so it seem like the evil choice so I won't take it" Fin They become so outspoken that the choices the player will make are clearly outlined by them. Probably a way to counteract all the complaints about Shepard not saying what the player intended, now you know beforehand what your are getting when you take option A or B.

You forgot the quintessential anime video

@Boo: Agree, BW does a lot characters as filler. @Nephente: Despite being the worst of the 3 NWN did garner attention, even though BW writing has always been similar it used to be that the bad parts weren't as bad and the good ones were better. I know that I wasn't used to be so annoyed and conscious about the storyline when I was playing KOTOR. Maybe I don't care for all the handholding in these new games. I can't make a choice without a companion butting in and telling me what to do and boiling everything down to 2 clear moral choices. @Calax: Games don't have to have the moments feel forced. We are just talking about BW here and their over saturation of one on one conversations. No problem with that, except that eventually there is a big disconnect amongst characters if they aren't meant to interact with each other. Eventually I get a little conscious of the fact that these characters have no life outside of interacting with my character.
-
Nostalgia. Nostalgia aside, the great 3 BW at that time. NWN, KOTOR, BG2. Which is basically what got them the public's attention; the writing from that time was very different or maybe it was the format.

You forgot to mention the mandatory companion quest. That's exactly the problem, one on one moments are special because they don't happen often due to the plot taking precedence over the characters. Most often than not you are dealing with groups of people, or interactions based on the main storyline (two characters discussing what to do) BW takes deepness to such a superficial level that it ruins every suspension of disbelief. Good examples of such is Aveline/Isabela during Aveline companion's quest. Right at the beginning Hawke gets sidelined by the interactions between these two characters, not only does it make it more plausible (since the world hardly revolves around a single person) but it establishes those characters without any interaction with the player but at the same time it includes him/her. Yet instead of advancing the main storyline through the characters or the characters through the sidequests, they separate a portion of the story to be dedicated just to them. They come pre-packaged with their own adventure and possible sex scene which diverts from the main storyline, which when you have 8 companions takes away from whatever the hell you where supposed to be doing in the first place. "Shepard: (thinking) Didn't we had a galaxy to save or something? Nah i'm probably imagining it, now let's go teach Grunt about the birds and the bees"

I see, what about organization or goals are they the same as with a proper gang? Because strangely enough a lot of the gangs stateside actually support family life and it's one of the permitted means to leave the gang. Although and I think that I said this before, its the younger elements that seem to be more aggressive. Hormones, insecurities, the need to establish a name for themselves within the gang, I don't really know why. Which is probably why I think violent youth should have another way to succeed aside from gangs; of course this only address half the cause, but at the same time a lot of the major gangs seek to recruit youth from afflicted schools. Our programs in this regard are inefficient, most of them consist of a speech by a ex-gang member or punitive measures. Problem is that without a rapport to keep them away from crime a lot of them just get in deeper. Gangs are a social element and the most effective way out of them is by moving on to another social element (community, family) for a troubled youth this is not a likely case since they relate more to their social circle than community or family. The biggest problem with the major gangs is that they have evolved from a interpersonal management mode into a hierarchy with it's own rules.
