  1. It felt more Indiana Jones movie than superhero movie. The old ones or the new one?
  2. Maybe the bomber wanted the attacks to coincide with the release of DA legacy but missed it because of unforeseen causes.
  3. Prediction for the future: on the next 24 hours there will a thread asking the question "Can Shepard romance Shepard?"
  4. I wasn't saying anything about why they were putting the message in place, just that they were putting the messages into most of their war games. It's their polite way of addressing the past; notice also that this treatment is mostly directed towards modern war, samurai on the other hand can be as violent and bloodthirsty as they want to. Also interesting subject on the fact, The Black Dragon Society is a real life group that could be considered the equivalent of those villain fractions on Japanese games.
  5. If he is one of those guys with enough experience reading body language so that he always gives the microphone to non-threatening members of the audience, then yes that's a moderator Besides no one ask serious questions at those things. @Calax: I think you can infer from your own post why they don't want to directly address the issue, probably the same reason 39 to 44 are gone from history books in Germany. @Bendu: Sorry but old news already Journalists should really stop hanging around /v/ and /b/
  6. Yeah, I noticed that too. Most of the really stupid/repeated questions were on twitter, though... Probably because; like with most panels, the moderators tend to keep thing tame. Did they had moderators at those panels?
  7. Just like Inception. Yup, pretty much. Now I can't stop thinking about how much crazier Inception would have been if an insane Japanese guy had written it. If convoluted storylines were a hallmark of great writing then no doubt there would be many other games praised by their writing. No, the fact that with a story that complicated the game was still effective, and the characters relatable is testament to their talent. Plus if we are calling out a game for inane nonsensical crap we may as well take down the whole genre.
  8. Just like Inception.
  9. Dude, if the worst thing about war that they can write about is your buddies dying it just show how poorly informed the writers at IW are. You want an anti-war game go play MSG, Kojima is very anti-war and it shows in every game in the series, MSG3 and 4 particularly.
  10. Its hard to care about someone in a Michael Bay film...Oh wait, we are talking about MW. Rule still applies. Seriously, half the people writing for games don't know what they are doing and the other half don't know how to write. I spent most of my time in MW trying to figure out why was attacking a oil base, or why I went to Brazil. Until I finally gave up and figured out that the devs completed the game before the story.
  11. Now? The industry has been pulling out MP on every game in the last 3 years, ever since someone said that "millenials" are more social by nature and by social they probably meant that they can't go 3 secs without texting or checking their facebook status. Let's just look at the transition of FEAR (since it's close to mind) the first 2 were FPS/Horror games with the added multiplayer. The last one was some multiplayer bull with an added FEAR storyline. Wanna know why nobody makes WRPGS that aren't MMOs? NO MULTIPLAYER
  12. No they won't because 1) It didn't sell 2) it was complete and utter crap (kind of like an ugly GOW with better storytelling)
  13. Not to sound like a party pooper or anything but... this is a load of bull**** so far into the game! now they are making ME more "minority friendly" MaleShepard is now going to get in touch with his feminine side and touch man sides and FemShep is getting a makeover for what it's (supposedly) the last game in the series. At least until they milk the **** out of the spin offs.
  14. The market has spoken, Bulletstorm was crap and reviewers were paid! :bang gavel:
  15. Ah, you're playing the PC version. No wonder you hate it.
  16. Alas but lighting bolt hasn't been the same since LARPers
  17. They likely picked Norway because security there would be lax compared to other European countries currently engaged in Libya and/or Afghanistan (and who've already been under direct or indirect terrorist threat). Frankly, it's a miracle nothing has happened yet in Brussels. If it was that lax, why not go for the jugular? They obviously meant to target these government buildings and it does seem like a terrorist cell, but the evidence points to a lone wolf type of event. So its somewhat likely that the attacker was "homegrown", specially since the subject is a blond Norwegian man.
  18. From what I've gathered, the locations of the attacks make it seem a bit amateur I wouldn't be surprised if the aforementioned groups is responsible. Instead of going with a frontal attack to the targets of interests (which would have had a more devastating effect) they went with close buildings. Seems like a lukewarm involvement, not what I would consider your regular MO for your jihadists. At any rate I can't help but feel that there is something off about these attacks.
  19. I do. By the time I get ready to cast it a 2nd time (from what I understand it takes ~2 times to stun this foe) I'm getting repeatedly hit from all the Barghest. Will try again later and if that doesn't work load an earlier save and brew a blizz potion. Don't get surrounded by the Barghest, try to avoid the Beast soften their numbers and then focus on it. Also, easier if you save the witch (she fights at your side)
  20. The big breakthrough seems to be a certain Patient X who seems to accept implants without glial buildup or any rejection symptoms. Although from my insight the game plot its probably going to be closer to the "Icarus Effect" plus
  21. gotta love their commitment to this style of marketing, wonder if they are getting the point across.
  22. Modes of persuasion, Grommir. You questioned our characters now we are pointing the finger at you and asking you the same, where is the ethos to back up your argument?
  23. The new avatar is a screen cap from the Deus Ex Invisible War homepage, the flash load screen to be exact. I used it for at least as long in the good old days in the bad old forums as I used the Hot Alpha Protocol Fuzz one here. The circle is now complete. Is a good thing too, I was getting tired of people confusing me with you.
  24. Or it could be the fact that less and less developers are taking risks. On this market economy everyone seems to be playing it safe, mechanics (sadly) seem to have peaked.
  25. @Oner: Are the shooting mechanics any good?
