  1. Today my NVIDIA driver gave me a code 43, which means that now i'm running in low res with no GPU. I need to change my PSN password but they don't sent the automated e-mail so now I have to call tech support. So all in all it's been a Murphy day, but i'm zen through it all. (And by zen I mean completely misanthropic just a hair trigger from snapping someone in half)
  2. I think that the main difference in the transitions of both series its that AC was more linear whilst ME became broader. AC was always an action/adventure sandbox game with great combat mechanics and they maintained that while they changed the mechanics. ME went from being an RPG/shooter to a shooter with dialog, mainly because no one likes shooter mechanics based on RPG-like progression (DX, AP, ME1) The solutions that BW took were far more drastic than anything Ubi had to face. But it was their noncommittal choice of direction which made ME2 not quite a good third person shooter and not fully an RPG, leaving a half breed that displeases both extremes of target consumers (the shooter and RPG purists respectively) What I fear its that this lack of clear direction will continue onto ME3 with mechanics that have the same lukewarm effect.
  3. Actually, I was just thinking on the amount of harm that it can incite. Your example is a clear harm since it divulges personal information to the public, but if someone put up a poster saying "Everyone who reads this, go jump off a bridge" Could it really be called a danger since no one would be likely to follow its advice? Why would you think that?
  4. I never said that, I put forth the example of AC because every game in the series bears strong resemblance to the previous one. Yet they always manage to improve upon the series by fixing their errors and making every game an improvement over their predecessor. So that while it may look similar it is only because they retain the good elements. Which its a contrast to BW and their search to make an Action/RPG that its accessible to the casual crowd by streamlining (removing all RPG elements) Personally I think they are just going to make a repeat of ME2 with some new "awesome" antic to attract attention. Guess my point can be distilled into, looking similar its not a flaw as long as the similarities are for the better and there is an improvement over the faults.
  5. They can arrest people for putting up posters?
  6. Not that there was anything wrong with that since I enjoyed FO3, but I'm left wondering if more than the gameplay carried from ME2 (please not the storytelling). Now i'm reminded of a great example the AC series, you could argue that they all look similar and they do. But each game improves on the problems of it's predecessor, if BW can pull that off with ME3 i'm down with it. Although it feels more that its another experiment paving their way into that ideal game that will allow them to keep their fans and get the COD crowd. In other words; they are looking for the fabled unicorn.
  7. I need one of the in house lawyers to answer this, but can they legally do this? Arrest them for posting on the web. Sure. Well?
  8. That's an awful first post.
  9. Whilst me on the other hand love missing certain points, because it makes subsequents watch/plays both likely and enjoyable.
  10. Wow 4 cookies, did you ask her out yet?
  11. I need one of the in house lawyers to answer this, but can they legally do this? Arrest them for posting on the web. I think it comes down to the "inciting to riot" style of.. does it really matter the medium that the "inciting" is done in? Technically I thought that it was "disrupting public order", but can you really call that on the web. Since its not part of the public order.
  12. Problems with HTML?

  14. yeah. i noticed that too... all the dragon age 2 haters probably had a simultaneous heart attack. Ok I'm back from the hospital (because of my heart attack) Please don't link to stuff like that anymore, you are going to kill me. Seriously though, ME3 feels more like ME2.v3.1
  15. Is that for real?

  21. omedetō gozaimasu (did I said that right?)
  22. There's also his voice. Or the piss yellow color scheme. It's gold! Actually scratch what they said on the panel, the original design decision behind the color scheme was because on their way to emulate a neo-renaissance they ended up with a baroque.(Note the clothing texture designs with the intricate, organic, curvilinear, decorations) For the scheme they went with a tenebrism's style (Caravaggio) with a high contrast of dark and light. All this from the art director's mouth, IIRC.
  23. How did you watch an anime that hasn't been released on the US? You speak Japanese? Or did they change the date?
  24. Happy birthday! don't get too drunk.
