    NHL

Daniel Sedin is leading the league in points, with his twin brother Henrik in second place. Has it ever happened that two brothers has taken the two top spots in the points race in the NHL?
  2. Strange. When I looked at that Gothic pack, they did not want to sell Gothic 1 to me. I could buy everything else except Gothic 1. I wonder if it's a regional thing? It was never sold in Sweden, I had to import it from the UK.. maybe that is why. Oh and the controls in the early Gothic games were made to separate the boys from the men. Are you a man?! ARE YOU?! Anyhow, I recently started playing Darksiders (another Steam sales bargain) and it is surprisingly good. I mean, I had read the reviews where it scored well.. but I had also read that it was a cross between God of War and Zelda.. which it is.. but it's still good! The art design is annoying (all characters have tiny heads and gigantic muscles and hands) and it gets a bit tiresome always walking into rooms with doors that close behind you and a mean boss appearing in front of you.. but it's STILL good, despite all of that. Odd.
  3. I just want to be able to blow my legs off so I'm forced to crawl around one of those 2 hour levels on my knuckles. True story.
  4. My only problem with Steam is that I'm forced to wait for 30 extra seconds every time I want to start up a Steam-enabled game. Without Steam, my SSD loads most games within a second or two. With Steam, I am forced to wait for some sort of login for 30 seconds before my computer is allowed to load the game. What is your problem with Steam?
  5. Yeah, no one had ever done generic FPS on PC before. God damn kids today don't know nothin' 'bout gaming. Talk about missing the point..
  6. I think it looked generally good (except the glowing bits as you all already pointed out, with more or less vitriol). But I was a little surprised by how relatively simple this game looked graphically. I don't know why, but I was kind of expecting this game to be a graphical powerhouse, much like the Assassin's Creed games have been. Deus Ex 3 looks a little flat.
  7. I just wish achievements were just that, achievements. I don't want an achievement for something I am forced to do to even play the game (ie. creating my character, completing a main story quest, etc.). I also don't want achievements that require me to grind something in the game, uselessly. Crackdown had some clever achievements that actually felt like achievements. Stuff like "Climb the highest point in the city" or "Fall 500+ m. and survive". Difficult, but fun and encouraging exploration and inventiveness.
  8. That's funny.. I wrote this today on another forum (in response to a question of what games define you):
  9. What's next? A meteor strike? I guess making all those hentai movies involving 14 year old girls and tentacles finally caught up with them..
  10. Saw Winter's Bone recently. Not to sound too cold-hearted or anything, but.. what was so special about it? It's gotten full scores in almost every review I've read, but I thought it was just another ordinary, slightly depressing, movie. I went to see it with a bunch of friends and they all thought it was one of the best movies they've ever seen. I feel left out of something but I don't know what!
  11. I am neither interested in using my phone as a dress-up doll nor do I want a phone that relies on some shady third party application to unlock common features. I like lots of things about IOS and Iphone, but those two flaws are dealbreakers for me.
  12. I'm too clumsy to buy a phone made out of glass. Also, I prefer the openness of Android to the closed arena of Itunes. Why are there no medium sized Android phones available?!
  13. Oblivion had fantastic graphics. I think that's the only thing Skyrim needs to bring from Oblivion.
  14. Pretty good write-up from Atomic Gamer: http://www.atomicgamer.com/articles/1212/r...-waters-preview It's nice that they seem to have grasped what sets Piranha Bytes game apart from most of their competition..
  15. We use Norway as a meatshield in case anything like this should happen in our part of the world.
  16. I don't know why, but I don't like difficulty levels. I just want the game to be HARD, without me having to choose so for myself! And the name "Hardcore"?! I'm not hardcore, I just like a challenge! Grr.. Gothic did this right.. *mumblemumble*
  17. I also want to buy an Android smartphone. I want it to be bigger than Sony Ericsson X10 Mini, but smaller than the Iphone and equivalent. The same size as the phones used to be only a couple of years ago, why is that so difficult to find? I have so far only found two phones that match my criteria: Sony Ericsson X8 and HTC Gratia The Sony Ericsson X8 is very cheap, but apparently that is exactly how it feels too. Also, Sony Ericsson aren't exactly known for upgrading their existing phones OS swiftly.. or at all. I don't want to be stuck with Android 1.6! The HTC Gratia has a crappy screen and is twice as expensive as the X8 with essentially the same hardware. Both phones are the right size for me, but both have serious flaws that make me not want them. Anyone know of any other alternatives, upcoming or otherwise, that they can recommend to me?

    I don't.
  19. Why are people whining about the graphics in Dragon Age 2? I think it looks quite OK on Bokishi's rig :D
  20. Why? I abuse these forums daily, least I can do is buy the games they make that I want on day one. Both Fallout: New Vegas and Dead Money have been great deals for me. Oh wait, I see now you're hating on Steam.. Oops. Continue hating, I misunderstood
  21. I have a 42" 1080p TV. Whwen I use it as a computer monitor, I have problems reading the text on this forum from my couch. I certainly do not need higher resolution! Unless the TV's of the future are all 120" or something.. :D
  22. It will naturally be underclocked like crazy to preserve battery life. Sony has not suggested otherwise, and there was an article about it on Eurogamer the other week (couldn't find it right now). The best solution would be if the NGP came with a dock. It could load the battery, have a HDMI port, allow for a Dualshock 2 hand control via bluetooth and provide enough power for the NGP to overclock for a higher resolution TV. The screen on the NGP is 960x544 (or something like that), and it would not be impossible for it to raise that resolution while being docked (720p?). If this was the solution Sony had chosen, I would buy it in a heartbeat (and a Dualshock 2 hand control too).
  23. If I buy a Radeon 6990 or a Geforce GTX 590, I expect to be able to strain it with this game Obsidian
  24. I actually think Sony's NGP might be the next generation of gaming. A handheld with battery life long enough to cover the commute, and powerful enough so that when you get home, you can connect it to your flatscreen TV and continue playing in your sofa.
