  1. There's been so little hype surrounding this game, I'd almost forgotten it. It scores high on my interest-o-meter though! System Shock 2 is one of my favourite games ever.
  2. Since I love the music in both the Gothic's, I'll provide a link to a brand new (released yesterday) snippet of the Varant Desert music that is going to be used in Gothic 3: http://download.piranha-bytes.com/gothic3/...ic3ethnomix.mp3 Two of my six questions have by now popped up in the thread, but none has been answered yet. Typical.
  3. Wow. Final Fantasy X is the only one I've tried (except for the earliest Final Fantasy, which aren't like what the Final Fantasy's have come to define) and it was so horrid I couldn't even get through the intro. Of course, it didn't help that the intro was 5+ hours either..
  4. I really enjoyed playing through Dragon Quest 8, although the worst aspect of that game were the constant battles that popped up everywhere. I wonder why JRPG's in particular rely so heavily on randomized battles?

But the Leafs won! Despite Atlanta playing their usual tricks. Third win in the last 13 games! Not shabby, eh? )
  6. I'm more fond of the idea of an unlikely hero than an anti-hero myself. GOTHIC!
  7. I don't think they can use it "for free" for any other project than Neverwinter Nights 2. It is based on Bioware's engine and should have some restrictions from that. Not 100% sure, but I think you have to construct the technology from the ground up yourself to be able to use it as you wish, at least commercially.

Yeah, I like the system in Sweden better. 3 points for a win, 2 points for an overtime win, 1 point for an overtime loss, 0 points for a complete loss. It makes more sense to not add an extra point just because the game is a tie at the end of regulation.
  9. No. What I want is a superfast OS that only loads the bare essentials for me to load my own applications whenever I need them. No browsers, no internet search, no built-in firewalls, no telnet, no messenger, no paint, calculator, notepad, textpad, wordpad, whateverpad. I want a clean system with nothing else but a compatible platform for the things I choose to install and run. Of course, I would still need DirectX..
  10. Yeah, it's one of the oh-so-necessary features of Windows Vista.. You know.. the next-gen OS that will require you to have 1 GB of RAM just to be able to run it. Nevermind the actual applications.
  11. Actually.. I bought an out-of-the-box-new 3DFx Voodoo 5500 64 MB AGP graphics card for 100 SEK (~$13 US) a couple of weeks ago. Now I'm hunting for an old computer to put it in. Maybe I should try to find a copy of the original Tombraider too, while I'm at it? I was planning on building a computer to run my old Elder Scrolls games on (Redguard and Battlespire)..
  12. Interesting. Megagames aren't very far up my trust-list (if I had one..), but it's still fun to read some differing views on the accessibility of the CELL and its SPU's. Too many people claim that it's impossible (or near at least) to write code for, but seldom does anyone have any direct contact with the beast. I read somewhere that over 4000 devkits for the Playstation 3 had been shipped.. I wonder where they all went?
  13. Oh yeah, speaking of that: "Apparently the new online service, titled PlayStation Network, won't just offer matchmaking and ranking lists. You can expect an iTunes-type store that lets you download films and music, and you'll be able to use the console as a Location Free Player. Which means you'll be able to upload stuff from your PS3 onto your PSP, and watch Blu-Ray and DVD movies on your handheld." Source: http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=62751 Apparently, Sony might still have a few online surprises up their sleeve.
  14. I got Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness with my graphics card.. Everyone else got like.. Far Cry.. or Half-Life 2. But I got Angel of Darkness.. OH GOD, WHY DO YOU HATE ME SO?! Uhm.. I tried it, but it ran like a hog (even on my newly purchased GPU), had really awkward controls (some crappy console port) and the story didn't seem very interesting. I never made it out of the first level, I think.
  15. Does this mean you've worked with both Sony's and Microsoft's devkits?
  16. No, but they're all crappy.
  17. One of the reasons I enjoy this forum is the system (whichever it is) they're using. It's fast, efficient and easy to use. What's vBulletin?
  18. Woohoo, we are good at hiding our corruption! Number 6, baby!
  19. How do you slap someone to death..? I'd imagine their hands starting to bleed long before the victim would die from the slapping.

Nice to see the Flyers struggle almost as much as the Leafs. Not that I can see how or why they're doing it, considering the talent they have on their team..
  21. "Our game just keeps getting moved back... And back... And back. Again, where is the box? Where is the final system? When is it coming out? No one knows and in the mean time people in the industry are starting to get just a little salty." But the comments most likely to have riled Sony executives were to do with the PS3's technical capabilities versus those of the Xbox 360: "I
  22. I just had pork chops and spinach pasta. It was kind of an odd mix, but my girlfriend's mom is visiting and she made the food. It tasted better than it looked!
  23. Because I am obviously intellectually inferior, I'll nitpick instead! It's Tolkien and Kalevala.

Why are there only two games scheduled for today? Uhm.. when's the Superbowl..?

Phew! Belfour saved the day and made some great saves in the last few minutes and then Chad Kilger added an empty netter. WE WON ONE! First home win since jan. 2 according to the commentators. Geez.
