  1. The first D&D game I ever played was Pool of Radiance. In it, you created a party of six, with two companions you could pick up later.
  2. Bioware games not rushed? Did you guys play the last part of Jade Empire? It was so bad it made ME rush through the game! The first parts of Jade Empire had a lot of content (dialogues, quests, different characters), but after a certain point (don't remember exactly where) all you did was kill stuff to be able to move on to the next area. Then you met the end boss and killed him in under 30 seconds with your Jade Golem. A real classic.
  3. Stardock, the creators of Sins of a Solar Empire among other things, have released a statement that customers of their products can come to expect:

  5. I remember fastening a landmine (or something used to destroy tanks) to a door as a makeshift booby trap. Then I ran into the next room to wait for the enemy soldier following me. The blast took down half the building (and me). It was awesome!
  6. I've come to realize that what I enjoy most are games that are a mix of genres, mostly FPS and RPG. I've become a hybrid player. I want twitch combat, governed by RPG stats. I want character development, quests and dialogue from a RPG and a strong story that drives me on. If vehicles can somehow be incorporated into the game, great. If there's racing involved, even better! Basically the good parts from every good game ever released rolled into one! But I guess the most important factor must be the story. Some games seemingly have all the necessary ingredients to entertain me, yet somehow fails to pull me in and keep my interest.
  7. I guess you could say that. Also, if you've seen this nick before, then it's probably me. Noone else would use such an ugly nick.
  8. I had a lot of fun with Assassin's Creed, just going around town, looking for flags and templars and assassinating guards whenever I got the chance.. until I realized that the towns didn't have a set number of guards to waste, but a never-ending spawn of guard clones that poured out of the walls, no matter how many I took care of. Then I lost all interest in assassinating and combat and just breezed through the main missions. I still think it was a good game, but a wasted opportunity for a classic. So close!
  9. http://www.pcgames.de/aid,657391/News/Acti...iel-Prinzipien/ Ja ja, neues Deutsch Alpha Protocol prezentationen! JA JA! SECHS ROLLESPIEL PRINZIPIEN! KLAR!
  10. http://www.gametrailers.com/player/39274.html JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER FPS FROM THE LAST 10 YEARS!!
  11. http://www.gametrailers.com/player/39184.html Pretty cool video. The dragon battles remind me of the old game Drakan: Order of the Flame, if anyone remembers that one.
  12. Not sure if you've seen it (probably) but Gametrailers usually work for everyone at least: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/39200.html Looks pretty good, I must say.
  13. There won't be any orcs in Risen
  14. The funny thing is that the P190 comes with three separate case fans, and even with all three on low it's still audibly wheezing. But unless you have some really hot and bothersome parts in your case, all you need is one actually running. I disabled the one near the PSU and the one at the back, and left the one at the top running on low. So all in all I have the PSU fan (which either never moves or is totally silent, I don't know), the GPU fan, the CPU fan (which I can control with a dial at the back of the system, I have it on in-audible levels) and the top fan running. I can barely hear my system now! And all the temperatures are as low as ever.
  15. Ok, I'll humour you. You don't get why it's so obvious you're lying about how far you've played this game? Your own quote about Divine Divinity: "were pretty much diabloesque all the way...". From the quote you were trying to discredit me with: "it's just a poorly done remake of Ultima VII.". Sure. You played it to the Wasteland and you failed to notice anything but FedEx quests and Diabloesque gameplay. You trouble yourself by looking up a negative review of the game which still compares it to Ultima VII, one of the greatest games in the genre, but you failed to see any of that yourself? "rrriiiigggghhhhtttt". But I've done this before with you. You'll desperately seek out more and more obscure quotes of mine, conveniently dragged out of their context, you'll go further and further away from your original claim (that Divine Divinity is nothing but a bad Diablo clone) by spinning your tiresome arguments over and over. Why? Because you think you can "win" an argument. You think it's important to act like you've "won" something by never, ever admitting that you were wrong. Want me to do a Gromnir and dig up an old post where you even take some sort of childish pride in thinking you've somehow "defeated" me? So consider this another win for you, I'm pulling out. Ps. Point 3 in your little list shows how much you've played the game. Noone who actually played it forgets the amount of work required to solve that seemingly simple quest. Welcome into the trap, old man.
  16. Or you could link to a map from the same game that actually shows one of the populated areas. Or just maybe one house..? http://www.gamebanshee.com/divinedivinity/...lrathshouse.php I bet you just accidentally chose a map called "Wasteland" out of the 20 or so maps available, rrriiiigggghhhhtttt? But it's pretty much pointless to discuss a game I've played with a person with a prejudice towards a game he hasn't played. Arguing for arguing's sake and all that.
  17. I usually seek out places with a lot of Finns in them. Among them I'm a effing supermodel.
  18. rrriiiigggghhhhtttt. "Where this game shines, however, is the evolution of game play beyond the mindless hack-and-slash of its Action-RPG counterparts. Quests in Divine Divinity are more than just go kill enemy X, take item Y back to person Z, here quests are much more involved, requiring you to solve puzzles, decide moral dilemmas, and uh... kill monsters." That's a pretty decent description of Divine Divinity (it's not mine). But hey, let's trust the guy who "got pretty far into the game". I bet you had time to try the 96 skills to see just how shallow they were too, rrriiiigggghhhhtttt? Just read a walkthrough of the game (since you obviously didn't bother to play it) to realize how wrong you are. Not that you'd ever admit it, but hey, maybe you'll grow up too some day. Arguing for arguing's sake without backing anything up is so much fun, rrriiiigggghhhhtttt? Walkthrough: http://www.gamefaqs.com/computer/doswin/file/371215/19678
  19. Divine Divinity was originally named Divinity: Sword of Lies, but the publishers insisted they'd change the name "to the better". Make of it what you will. Divine Divinity was a game that started off really bad (the Diablo-esque starting village), but opened up and became pretty good after you were released into the world. It was huge, had tons of interesting side-quests and a pretty decent character development scheme. Unfortunately it was too combat heavy for anyone but the most hardened hack'n'slash fans. Me and my girlfriend managed to play through the entire game together and although the ending was a disappointment (why must every game in existence have a Hell level?), it was overall a very enjoyable experience.
  20. I finished The Bard's Tale tonight. Both endings. It was actually a hilarious game from time to time. The first time I played it, I thought the humour felt forced and awkward. But after playing through it all, it made more sense. And I loved the 'evil' ending No idea what I will play now. I'm even thinking about picking up Mass Effect (it has dropped in price), I'm that desperate for something new to play. Can't wait for the games on my "Most Wanted" list to come out. I think one of them IS coming out at the end of this month, but I can't remember which. Far Cry 2 perhaps? Mercenaries 2? No matter, it's all good.
  21. This is what ugly people tell themselves to feel better. In reality, your personality is not decided by your looks. In my opinion it has much more to do with your general intelligence level. A dumb but pretty girl is usually obsessed with her looks and considers it the most important thing in the world. These are the most annoying ones because you hate them but you still want to do them. But a dumb and ugly girl is equally nasty. The only difference is that you're not annoyed with yourself for secretly wanting them and can hate on them without remorse.
  22. Are you saying you don't have a girl growing out of your ear..?
  23. I think it took me something like 8 years to finally beat Pool of Radiance..
  24. A normal console game costs 599 SEK in Sweden. With the American dollar being like a Zimbabwean dollar at the moment, that adds up to $95. (For example: http://www.game.se/acatalog/Online_Catalog...S_GAMES_17.html ) A normal PC game costs 449 SEK. That's $71 in Zimb.. er.. American dollars. ( http://www.game.se/acatalog/Online_Catalog...hooters_68.html ) You can of course find slightly lower prices if you shop online, but that's what you pay in the stores here. Rockband costs $316 in Swedish stores. I usually pay around $100 for the Collector's Edition of the games I like.
