Mkreku, so that's all I'll need to get my Gothic Universe Gothic 3 ready to go right? I'll download when I get home tonight. Yes. It contains ALL the previous patches, official as well as unofficial ones. As a small bonus, it also removes the need to have the DVD in your computer while playing.

Yeah, I could either continue exchanging idiocies with you or I could instead. It stutters once (for less than a second, 18 seconds in) at the beginning of the video, but that might be because of Fraps accessing the hard drive at the same time as the game. For the rest of the 4+ minute video there is no stuttering at all, despite the raw video file ending up being over 4 GB big. That's a lot of hard drive access during gameplay. You call me a liar and troll. I post a stutter free (or "loading times" as the ignoramus call it) video of Gothic 3 CP 1.7. What does that make you? (The video depicts me entering Gotha during night time so it's a bit dark)
-
Why do you think anyone gives a **** about your opinion about stuff you haven't even tried? Troll much?
-
If you're referring to the stuttering from the vanilla version, it's gone now for me with the CP 1.7. And yes, all games have loading times (you need to start up the game at least once, that's a loading time) but I'm really not interested in semantics. You will not see a loading screen once you've entered the game. Is that easier for you to understand, Volourn?

Fan made films from a recent role playing game convention in Germany: Part 1: Part 2: The language used in the videos was too difficult to translate for my rudimentary German skills, but the game looks smooth. They've said that the game is feature complete and that they're spending the next six months on polishing the game! Let's hope that's true.

Ignore Gorgon and get this: http://forum.worldofplayers.de/forum/showt...d.php?p=8871228 It's 880 MB, but it's worth it. Not only will you get an insane performance increase, the badly broken combat actually works now. But be warned: if you're used to games like Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic or equivalent, this game is not for you. There's no hand-holding, you WILL die a horrible death a hundred times and you WILL fail quests. Yes, it's actually possible to fail stuff in the Gothic games, unlike anything produced in the US for the last ten years. It's a very difficult game. But if you enjoy a living, breathing, absolutely massive world with no loading times, lots of combat, quests, treasures and three different story lines (you can only finish one per playthrough), you'll have a blast. I am currently replaying Gothic 3 with the community patch 1.7 and it's a great game now. Just make sure you turn on the Alternative balancing and the new AI and you're set to go.

New "Obsidian Evolves" Trailer (GT)
mkreku replied to Venom713's topic in Alpha Protocol: General Discussion
No! Swedish accent! Girls were falling all over themselves in the US when I laid on my accent. He's a ladies man, remember?! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Gg53C2b4II -
The horrible thing is that he's got another one, even better! Jeanny - Falco You need to admire the world's best lip synch in this video. It's.. epic. Oh, and the lyrics! So romantic! A rough translation: Falco needs to be in. Seriously.

This is why you never should let your **** decide what music you listen to.

No no, you're all wrong. Walsingham lost his mod powers when they caught him folding a piece of paper into something that vaguely resembled a sexual image, in certain obscure African cultures. Naturally he couldn't continue as a moderator for an upstanding community like this.

Argh, GO WITH AT LEAST 4 GB EVEN IF YOU'RE GOING WITH XP is what that was supposed to have said. Stupid disappearing edit button.

I went to my cousin tonight and played a little NHL09 online. It was amazingly fun! Even though I lost every freakin game I/we played. It was my first time ever playing hockey online. The last game was seriously tight too, as my Caps lost to the Canucks 2-1 with both his/her goals being scored within six minutes left of period three (I decided not to play my Leafs since they are ridiculously low ranked in NHL 09..). My hitting game was fine, but my offense sucks. I thought a quick pass from the sideboards up into the slot for a streaking player and a direct shot would be the key to score, but nooo, every goalie in the league moves like lightning sideways. Apparently you need to get in close and use the skill stick until your thumbs fall off. That's how my opponents scored 5-6 times on me in every game.. Is it possible to play NHL 09 on a PS3 against an NHL 09 player on a Xbox 360? That would rule.
-
Yeah, but there isn't any cost increase to go from 3 GB to 4 GB. Also, using 2 identical 2 GB sticks might mean a small performance increase. And you're slightly more "future proofed". Go with at least 4 GB even if you're going with XP.

Who also went astray by the economic downturn?

It's known as a sissy ass pansy sport over here. So people sometimes run into each other? And sometimes they get hit by a stray ball that's being thrown? And you want to call it a contact sport..? Glide tackles are allowed in football. The only protection they have is a small piece of plastic on the front of their lower legs. Yeah, but you're right. What's a sissy thing as your broken bone sticking out of your sock compared to getting hit by a thrown ball on your back?
-
They reviewed it in a Swedish magazine and complained that it was only 5 hours long (the new bits) and that the graphics looks dated. Otherwise it's the action game of the spring. Or something like that.

Not entirely correct. DDR3 is worth it if you can also afford the i7 processor. Then you're talking about 3, 6 or 12 GB or RAM though. The i7 has the advantage of being able to use three memory channels. If you're buying a Core 2 Duo/Phenom 2 then there's no immediate gain from using DDR3 since DDR2 is almost equally as fast right now and they're both using two memory channels.

Seriously, I would rather play this grizzled war veteran: Than this plain toothpaste commercial dude:

Rock Me Amadeus - Falco If this isn't in, I'm going Columbine on your asses.
-
99 Luftballoons - Nena You should never get me started on 80's songs. Seriously. Oh, and this better be in. In German.

I think it's about time Obsidian jumped on the open world bandwagon. Let Obsidian show all the amateurs how a REAL story driven RPG can be done in a sandbox game!

Let me sum it up for you: it's an overclocked (slightly tweaked) 4870. It's a good card, but Nvidia has an equally good card in the 275, at almost the exact same price. It's a matter of which drivers have been most friendly to you: ATI's or Nvidia's.

I can actually imagine how they invented baseball: "Goddamnit, we suck at every sport the rest of the world plays, what shall we do?!" "I know, let's invent our OWN sport, then we'll rule!" "Great idea! It should be made for us REAL Americans, so there can't be any running.. and no complicated rules" "Yeah, like offside, wtf? You need to be a goddamn engineer to understand that ****!" "How about standing around in tight clothes with a stick in your hand and throw a ball around a court? That should be fun!" "Oh yeah! But wait a minute, won't that make us look like sissies?" "Yeah, you're right. Wait, I know how to solve it! Let's make them all wear oversized cups despite it being a NON CONTACT SPORT!" "Of course! That will make us look MANLY AS HELL!! Let's call it 'baseball' so it makes everyone think of our gigantic BALLS!" "Done deal!"

I just chased away the last people from my birthday party. It was pretty cool, even though we're all going to a party tomorrow (and a hardware expo) so there was no booze involved. And it's now 19 minutes past midnight (where I am) so it's too late to congratulate me now. So **** you all for forgetting my birthday!! Heartless bastards.
