  1. Hopefully I'll be not gaming (become more & more a possibility) or dead by then. I hope to be playing games till I'm old and grey...though possibly while living in a high tech police state the way things are going, at least we'll should have games beamed directly into our brains by then Anyway, Battlefield 3 is a lot of fun and very easy to just pick up and play, it's got a few technical issues though, drop outs and a poorly optimised graphics engine, typical first day PC release stuff I suppose but still annoying.
  2. I'm just installing Battlefield 3, Origin doesn't seem too bad, if anything it seems less clunky than steam but I dread a future where I need five or six DRM clients installed to play games.
  3. Yeah I'd love that, especially if it was a bit beaten up and dusted with volcanic ash, some kind of ancient Dunmer family heirloom up for the stealing.
  4. Xplay footage pt1 Xplay footage pt2 *edit* I saw an East Empire Company warehouse, just that alone makes me squee There's more npcs in that shot than most of the EPIC BATTALS of Oblivion
  5. Got an email saying my copy of Battlefield 3 is on it's way and my copy of Morrowind arrived, love that map
  6. Yeah FO1 definitely isn't humourless, I just prefer the over the topness of FO2, that and the sheer amount of stuff to do
  7. I just finished setting myself up in Klamath, I've paid Sulik's debt and now we're off to snort the ashes of humanity This is my second run of Fallout 2, I do enjoy the first game but I find the atmosphere a bit heavy, overall I prefer the more upbeat insanity of humanity rebuilding itself.
  8. I'm pretty sure my pc will eat it alive on ultra, that was the plan when I built it anyway *edit* Here's a new Game Informer preview, I like the fact that the guy in the middle is championing Morrowind.
  9. Hows the network performance in a fully packed game, many bugs? After being burned by every pre ordered PC game for 12 months in a row I'm severely jaded but I like to hope Battlefield 3 isn't going to suck for me on launch day.
  10. Rockstar's recent lack of PC support and the ****ty job they did porting GTA4 leaves me feeling unexcited
  11. I just snarfed a copy of Morrowind on ebay, it's in a nice cardboard gatefold box and of course comes with the map
  12. I'm saving my replay of PST for the future, I want to do my next run with high wisdom and intelligence so I can dig into TNO's past, which reminds me about Ignus, I recommend asking questions for a new angle on his personality
  13. Just uninstalled Fallout 3 after a quick sweep of places I'd not been, it's hard to believe I've played it so much over the last three years and still not seen it all, Bethesda games are excellent value for money. Anyway, I just got Fallout 2 installed, I never did see everything it had to offer so I'm fully patched up and ready to go, this should keep me busy till Skyrim
  14. Some day, some company is going to release some fantasy game with no dragons in it and it will be a major selling point for me That'd be Oblivion, if you don't count Akatosh
  15. Strangely enough I can live with a Samurai, Soldier and Cowboy on a spaceship, why a small child rewiring alien technology grinds my gears I do not know but there you have it.
  16. There's always Crysis 2 with the DX11 patch, I've not tried it but it's supposed to be quite stunning.
  17. Thanks for the heads up, I'll be having a look at your mods when next time I play New Vegas, next year probably
  18. I just finished Mothership Zeta, by god, in the last scene the ten year old girl is telling us what bridge consoles we need to use to defeat the other mothership...apparently this DLC was headed up by the guy who did the MQ, the derp is strong with this one It's all over now though, another few levels till I hit the cap and a few more places to go and then no more Fallout 3 forever.
  19. Does the Gun Runners Arsenal place any weapons in the world or are they only available from merchants?

  21. Surely that's the gaming equivalent of finding a bunch of olives and a slice of salami at the bottom of the deli bag? Ahh I'm just keen to put Fallout 3 away for good, my savegame file has well over 100 hours on it but obsession demands I finish the damn thing
  22. I love these end of the world cults, cognitive dissonance kicks in when it fails to happen, like the fifty billion times Jesus was supposed to return and then, nada, ohhh well he obviously returned silently and is working among us in secrecy, until the time is right for him to reveal his glory *fnarr*
  23. The only time I've ever disliked level scaling was in Oblivion, it's still quite visible in Fallout 3 but it doesn't bother me, I actually get a buzz when I hit a new tier of enemies, and it's not like there aren't hand placed encounters too. After all the info and videos I'm pretty sure I'll really like Skyrim, my biggest worry now is a ****ty PC port or the typical Bethesda CTD's, I reckon there's still a fair chunk of legacy code in there...
  24. I'll be happy with a game that meets Origins and DA2 somewhere in the middle, bring back the strategy view and spend more time on the characters, I just hope they take their time with it, I can wait a couple of years for another proper Dragon Age game.
  25. I officially finished everything in Point Lookout and then got stuck into Mothership Zeta, I forgot how completely herp derp, bat**** crazy the plot is, being led around a spaceship by a ten year old girl who can rewire alien technology, at least I do enjoy it as a mindless slaughter, the logs are fun too. At some point before MZ I took the perk which reveals all the unvisited locations, was quite disheartened to see a few places I don't think I've ever been, if I really want to consider Fallout 3 put to rest I'm gonna have to check them out
