  1. Still gnawing away at the everlasting bone that is New Vegas.
  2. I gave up on Fallout 3 last year because of constant crashing, how are you finding it for stability?
  3. Just added another gnome to my collection. Arriving in Zion. Met up with that Mormon misfit. Obsidian's level designers really got to grips with the engine in this DLC. Ahhh.
  4. Took out Motor Runner, for some reason I'd never been into Vault 3 dressed as a Khan so it was cool to waltz right into his throne room unmolested. Going to dive into Honest Hearts soon, I love the location so I'm looking forward to it.
  5. Put simply, I rape Deathclaws.

  7. You had to say that just as I was going to bed...
  8. Just watched the first episode of True Detective and I'm hooked, there's a tinge of Twin Peaks about it.
  9. I'm about to take out Elijah and loot the Sierra Madre but I reckon I'll only make it out with three gold bars, I haven't found any items that boost strength and Sawyer's mod has really limited my carrying capacity
  10. Hand is scabbing up nicely, at least the itchy pain is a minor distraction from the mental anguish I seem to be putting myself through...bugger it, I'm opening the cider and putting on some music.
  11. Woke up with the realisation that I've got a crush on a girl, we've definitely got chemistry but she's really crazy about a friend of mine, like fixated on him...I really need to disentangle myself from this mess
  12. Birthday approaches tomorrow, feeling rather indifferent. Also managed to badly burn my hand today, stupid mistake while helping a friend burn some rubbish in his yard, now my right hand is all blistered up and throbbing...still, I get to be whacked up on painkillers for a while so it's not all bad
  13. I disabled collision and boosted my run speed to engine breaking levels, hilarity ensued. Gutty wuts. He looks pretty peaceful considering the circumstances. Oh dear... KILL USSSS! - The best bit is they all blink You are no longer Well Rested - Damn right, this DLC murders rest.
  14. Took Veronica back to the Brotherhood then jumped into Dead Money, I forgot exactly what a hell hole this location is, I think I've died more times in an hour than I have in 20 hours of the main game, I also love how dialogue heavy the DLCs are
  15. I had mods and DLC last time but it wasn't quite this bad, though I was rushing the main game and gorging on DLC so maybe it just wasn't as noticeable.
  16. Which visual mods are you using? I like the look of your game. The visuals are all vanilla, other than Darn's UI, OneHUD and NVinteriors. New Vegas can be really pretty if you catch it from the right angle *edit* Just out of interest, how often does the game crash for you guys? Normally NV is pretty stable for me but this time round I'm getting a crash every 5-10 hours...which is still great for a Bethesda engine I suppose.
  17. Ahh, Vegas... Vivaaaa. Havin a bit o the old ultaviolence with Arcade. Relaxing at the Boomer's bar, courtesy of NVInteriors
  18. Dragged the rowing machine downstairs and into the living room, I'm working on the theory that if it's in my way then I can't ignore it...either that or it will become a foot rest/beer holder
  19. Made my way up Black Mountain and reunited Tabitha with her robot, only ever been up there once before and things didn't end so happily. The sun was just setting as they walked off into the wastes, I like the notion that they're on some bigger quest, it'd make a cool comic.
  20. I'm sure you'll have fun, Skyrim isn't lacking in content and compared to Oblivion it almost doesn't need mods at all. I'd definitely install the Unofficial Skyrim Patch though, so many little annoyances fixed Hehe, yeah compared to Oblivion so only 30 or so instead of 100+ But yeah, looking at my list there aren't too many must have mods, most are just litle improvements here and there. Yeah, most of my mods are small gameplay tweaks and a few visual things, I tried Skyfalls & Skymills last time I played and loved it, no more weird iceberg looking distant waterfalls and riding towards Solitude is exactly 42.8% more epic when you can see the windmill turning in the distance

  22. Yeah, that was one of my biggest gripes about both Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. If you're stumbling through a wasteland of abandoned buildings and you're looking for supplies, which one would you set your sights on: the boarded up, untouched building or the building with welcoming, open doors? It was annoying that I couldn't break into the closed-up buildings since, according to my logic, those would have a greater chance of still containing something useful. I dunno, Fallout 3 had enough explorable buildings for me, I just think it needed more (questy) reasons to go inside them. New Vegas was quite frustrating on the first play through, I'd go running towards something and eventually reach a boarded up building or an empty shack...a shack with it's own map marker ffs. I got over it when I realised the game compensates with crazy levels of plot and gameplay choice but NVInteriors fills in the blanks really nicely. I get what you're saying about easily accessible ruins full of pre-war loot, it'd be pretty cool if future games had sealed buildings you needed tools and skills to enter, as well as ruins that had been picked clean and re-purposed by raiders and suchlike. Is there an NVInteriors equivalent for Skyrim? Not that I know of, Skyrim doesn't have any inaccessible buildings or a lack of dungeons, though at the time I thought it really needed more NPC houses to break into, Oblivion and Morrowind spoiled me there.

  24. Last night I got hammered and played five straight hours of New Vegas, I'd been waiting almost a week for some spare time so it was nice to blast my brains out in another world. Almost 50 hours in and I've not done much but explore and build up caps for GRA weapons, I love the fact that I really have to grind for the best toys. I'm about to start helping the NCR at McCarran but I want to visit Legion territory on friendly terms before I declare all out war, gotta go see the big man and hear what he has to say first. NVInteriors is helping to make the world feel less empty, the author has a real talent for level design and knows how to tell a story with objects. Spelling could be better but I've offered to help out and the author has accepted so maybe that will be fixed one day
  25. Just got back from seeing Brian May, he's doing a tour with a singer from the Queen musical, it was a great performance but the sound could have been a teensy bit better, also sitting at the back of a packed out opera house wasn't all that epic. He brought his original guitar so it was cool just seeing him perform with the instrument he recorded all those songs with, glad I went. I remember that little bugger, apparently that's what made me feel like I was about to die when I got a kidney stone
