  1. I had something similar happen with a girl, too
  2. I avoid eastern front games, coz I generally have to pick one of two wrong sides.
  3. I am.And generally every other non-French/German European, being the only European english PvE server. Not that good really when you think it's the one going down most, has the most issues and is generally unstable a lot of times from not being able to handle it's traffic. Oh, right. There were a lot more the last time I looked, but I've been on the 'clipse for a while, now.
  4. So... who else is on Red Eclipse? I was the last time I looked.
  5. Would that be due to the way the story is told then? Because that I can imagine, I've started a lot of playthroughs in DAO, but only finished one and this one was near completion when I abandoned it (few companion quests to go and then Landsmeet). The extreme railroading gets really annoying after one playthrough (oh, the Fade, again, yay). But I find DA2's combat so terribly boring (and immersion breaking tbh, constantly spawning enemies etc) that I never managed to get anywhere in my second playthrough even though the storyline at least was better told than in DAO (and I won't be picking up DA3 unless it gets raving reviews of people who's opinion I actually trust). I'd have greatly preferred they had taken DA:O and improved on its weak points instead of taking Mass Effect and cramming Dragon Age in it. Anyway, probably going play some Divine Divinity followed by some DA:O. What other people alluded to, but in my case it's also the gameplay itself isn't that interesting (I really think they were onto something when they tried to speed things up a bit in DA2), tends to lead to a situation where I try to get storm of the century as fast as possible and then just spam it, and that every damn section just runs on for too ****ing long. Then there's the massive info dump NPCs etc. That game really feels like work.
  6. I did that a couple of months ago,* it does add a certain adrenaline rush to looking for new jobs. Of course the one where I'm now basically fell into my lap, but still... *well, technically, I didn't quit, I just didn't agree to renewing a temp contract...
  7. I have 4 DAO playthroughs under my belt and at this point, I greatly prefer DA2, even with its obvious issues. I think DAO gets stale really quick.
  8. People are the same everywhere. Businessmen and politicians in particular. Its just a question of how likely they are to get away with something. Believe whatever you want to believe. Exactly, it's a question of how likely anybody is to get away with anything, including the "vanguard of the proletariat", the Skorpioni and whoever, certainly not limited to politicians or "businessmen". The problem with you, judging by the example you picked is that you're convinced of your own cultural superiority in the matter. The only place that will lead you to is ignorance. No, I'm just not convinced it's inferior.
  9. Being myself a fellow of wide shoulder and tiny legs I can sympathise. Off the peg suits are an impossible dream. Not sure a kickstarter is needed. really all you need is to find an agreeable and trustworthy needle-weilder. Start with those specifications and then add a decade of unhealthy eating... Sigh.

  11. Yeah, let's not assume that the kleptocratic post-collapse redistribution of wealth in former communist countries is a standard for the behaviour political leadership.
  12. I'm still looking for a DECENT remake of Death Track
  13. Well, today being better than yesterday turned out to be mostly theoretical. Took 10 hours, prosecutor complained about my billing (so that in addition to helping my client for what's basically a fraction of my regular charge, I'm probably not going to get compensated for all the time I actually spent on the case...) Wasn't really in the zone, myself, and everybody else was busy shifting blame on my client. The fact that he was all chivalrous and doing the opposite for the two ladies, the younger of which was, admittedly, absolutely stunning, just gave me that sensation of a good case slipping away from my fingers. After the past week, also starting to feel depression rearing it's ugly head again. Guess I should be happy it didn't hit me around Xmas when things were actually crappy... The problem is, there's so much I'd need to talk about, and, well, being in a strange city, there's basically no one I could talk to, and due to the secrecy requirements... it's not like I could say anything, even if things were different. I've basically just realised why most criminal lawyers are heavy drinkers, I guess.
  14. Pretty sure they used to. It probably disappeared around the same time this retarded quote system, which makes depyramiding a colossal pain in the bottom, debuted. I
  15. Had a thoroughly depressing case today... all the parties were young and basically two lives were probably ****ed up for good over it... the vic had blown a total headgasket over what had taken place and my client, who had severe mental issues of his own, was hit with massive damages over it. I mean, usually I can just shrug and say that I gave it my best shot and move on, but now I just dunno. I guess I can draw comfort from the fact that this could very well be a "career worst" type of case, but still... Tomorrow's a lot better, though, strong-arm robbery where my client's basically a wise guy. Easy to deal with, sense of humor and philosophical about the punishment and appreciative of my efforts to get him of the hook (easy to get motivated for, since the co-defendants have tried to set him us a patsy).
  16. Arkham Asylum is one of the two games in this generation I've started and won't finish (along with GTA - but I have dishonored and that last hitman game I can't even remember the name of on hold for a period long enough that I might hit 4 soon), I really REALLY failed to see what the fuss was about. S'yeah, another yearly franchise I won't be partaking in.
  17. The one that's at the door to the main compound.
  18. I'm positive that the fact that it's a transport dock is some type of stealth pun...
  19. Ie. she succeeded on her own terms, not because of positive discrimination etc.
  20. The droid, the bug at the door is so easy it doesn't qualify as an actual boss. I don't think it drops anything of value, either, but I haven't played my 50 since last year, so I could be forgetting.

    Music

I've personally found that live PAs outside Finland just tend to sound better. It's probably just me listening to obscure music which is "bigger" elsewhere, and thus allows for a more professional experience abroad.
  22. My worst experience is still from Colicoid War Games, but yeah, I've ran into some seriously fubar people in the end game. I managed to do it once, have failed it twice since then. Kind of annoying, since I didn't have any of the relevant stuff active at the time. Was with the guild. That first boss really is a check, if you can kill it, you can breeze through the rest - even if people claim otherwise.
