While I find your analysis interesting, I'd like to point out that there's a, I suspect vast, majority of people who play Bioware's games that actually enjoy them for that they are without the Stockholm syndrome undertones.

I played DAO on PS3 first. It was dire and my gf left me. I think it also goes a long way of explaining why I prefer DA2 over it, in spite of having played it later on the PC as well. While it's not the first time I've heard that inane complaint, it's certainly the absolutely worst thing to criticise as an aspect of DA2. If we're going to be saving the world ad infinitum, I'm holding YOU personally responsible for it.

In the end, I always wind up with Tanqueray. It's not a bad gin, but I think you should stretch your legs a bit. There's a lot of interesting gins out at the moment. For the relatively minimal amounts that I drink of gin, I prefer an old stalwart over "being challenged"...

Report: Manziel got 32 on Wonderlic. Even I got 29 in a language other than my native, so that can't mean much! ;D It would be sweet if Beckham falls to 27 but I'm thinking he's off the board by 22 (Philadelphia). That still leaves Marquise Lee or better still Brandin Cooks at WR. Saints also announced that they will not pick up Mark Ingram's fifth year option so look for a RB starting round 2 maybe someone like Bishop Stankey from Washington. I think the WR situation is pretty interesting, there's a lot of guys more or less at the same level that could get distributed in any which way between philly/NO/Carolina. OBJ is my favourite of the bunch though. My understanding is that the fifth year option is a rather pricy option, so they might prefer to see how the zone blocking scheme they are apparently implementing (either in part or fully) help Ingram's production to either take a stab at him on the free agent market or just move on...

Sooooo, the draft's almost upon us and we already had somebody who I forget (sorry!) bring the NFL topic up... so we might as well have a talk about it! My current takes: Clowney's been under a determined character-assassination campaign - probably by the Rams and Jags who are hoping he'd fall to 2nd or 3rd. Manziel just got compared to Drew Brees because they are apparently both short. Clearly it doesn't take a lot to be a professional football commentator. I'm hoping Odell Beckham Jr. falls to 27, as he would appear to be a really good fit for the Saints after their early offseason decimation (need both a WR and a kick returner).

Traditionally it was warrior, tank + single target damage, rogue sneaky support stuff, mage area dps and crowd control... increasingly, and not just in DA, it's warrior tank/tank that tries to be something else than a tank (ie. offtank, which really only works if you have the fourth character, which you do in DA), rogue = single target dps with obligatory tacked-on trap detection, mage area dps and crowd control...

Thanks for the advice. I know, if there is one thing that makes dogs go absolutely nuts its bunnies/rabbits and other small furry fast moving creatures. Does depend a bit on the breed, with hunting breeds obviously having the strongest instincts.

Those statistics to me say more about how acceptable it is for a woman to go to the authorities about it (and be taken serious) than about the actual number of rape crimes that happen. There's also variance in what is defined as rape by law.

Blah, I really should put something together, but I haven't owned a full-size personal computer in over a decade... I'd have to build from ground up and the initial cost of it always turns me off.
