  1. I think we've had this rumor or a variation of it before every single gaming event ever since ME1 came out. Still, would be neat if it happened, I could mostly retire the 'screamer', as it's only used for ME games...
  2. Mind.in.a.box - Amnesia
  3. Also apparently rather efficient DRM, when compared with a lot of the alternatives...
  4. All it takes is character level ~15. We all took her that far Uh-uh-uh! The narrator calls her a master during Malak's attack on Revan's flagship, when she's still lvl 1. Well, he doesn't really specify that she was a Jedi master at the time, if (and as) she became a famous jedi master later on, the narrator could be just specifying that yes, indeed, this was the very same Jedi master Bastila Shan who became an important figure later on in the order. It's fun to see that even though lucasarts locked the Revan canon (male, light-side ending, saved Bastila), Bioware's avoiding it as much as they can, no specifics of Revan's gender etc. in the trailer...

  6. I'm really digging the art direction. Those street shots are distilled Deus Ex. Slurp.
  7. This is the list of games made with id engines:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Id_Tech_4#Gam...nsing_id_Tech_4 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Id_Tech_3#Pro...rietary_license http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Id_Tech_2#Pro...rietary_license I can totally live without any similar games not being made in the future. Well, I dunno, there's some fairly legendary games in the Id Tech 3 branch. They were totally run over by UE in the next gen, though. :/ Also kind of interesting to note, that Ion Storm's other projects (apart from the UE based Deus Ex) used Id Tech... Anyway, Valve is probably chuckling at the moment.
  8. Because, like, it's about marines. In space. It's easier to remember than 'Adeptus Astartes'. Can you even begin to imagine the misspellings that would generate on an 'average' gaming board? My eyes bleed at the thought... *shiver* Best wishes, The rouge from dues ex
  9. Looks good. Only seen the lowres IGN version, will have to hunt for a geniunely good one later @ home.
  10. Yeah, you went to the pub and I got the splitting headache. No justice in this world. Currently sitting at work, holding on to the table edge to not fall of my chair.
  11. The only two games I've bought within the last two years but not finished are GTA III and GTA IV. In hindsight, I probably should have taken a hint from what happened with III, but I did enjoy Vice City... Bioshock is the only one I probably can't bring myself to replay :/
  12. Hmmm.... Isn't that plot basically what the original version of the Bioshock plot was supposed to be? I can't remember you needed to save someone in BS1. Looked it up, in the original concept of Bioshock, the hero was a "cult deprogrammer". So not exactly the same, no.
  13. Hmmm.... Isn't that plot basically what the original version of the Bioshock plot was supposed to be?
  14. After it had been extensively retooled by Bio... ME1 is more of an actual UE game... Source might be sharpening their crossplatform support, now that Gabe swallowed the humble PS3 pie...
  15. Well, well, they sure have been shopping left and right. Now the Witchboy works for them, too. :/
  16. Inferiority complex to Hollywood? Possibly. Could be that some focus group somewhere said they want CINEMATIC games while watching bad boys II.
  17. From Paris With Love. Good mindless fun, not as good as Taken, though. Probably gonna try Solomon Kane today. Went on a BD shopping spree, have some choice now
  18. Yeah - and I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that DAO benefited from having basically an "optimal" release date - even if it went pretty much head2head with Modern Warfare 2, I think we can assume that the kids these days get more than one game in their sock. (I know I didn't, certainly not when I got Pool of Radiance in 1990).
  19. 'Felicia day fanboys' is such an ugly way to put it... 'enlightened individuals' sounds MUCH BETTER. Italian women must've gotten a lot uglier since I was there. Unlikely, as I was there last week. Well, I guess it's possible that all the good-looking ones took off after me.
  20. Maybe I'm getting old.. but I still find Spycraft 1.0 a touch more flexible then Spycraft 2.0... (or maybe I'm just biased because I enjoyed Shadowforce Archer so much....) What I've just heard of the 3.0 preview at Gencon makes me... excited. Classes will be made less niche, which IMHO was the main issue with the system. We'll see...
  21. Not as beat as the people who wound up in intensive care? Me, I started detoxing with Ferrarelle. It's just mineral water, but I've experienced it's rather impressive diuretic etc. capabilities in the past.
  22. As did the last Hesburger product I had to eat. Strange, it's hardly gourmet, but in my personal experiences Burger King has beat whatever we have available on the fastfood burger market. Of course, there's really nothing like a Hilton Bacon Burger, but at 20 euros + drinks, it's not exactly in the same ballpark. Guess it's just the greener grass and all that.
  23. Well, the console users obviously didn't have a choice. All I know is that pre-release the forums were littered with posts full of PS3 users begging for an alternative keyboard/mouse input scheme (which the PS3 unlike the x360 officially supports). Of course, when the slideshow that is the PS3 version was released, it became obvious why no zooming had been implemented.
  24. Mass Effect 2 on my renegade. Had some extra points so picked up the new guns. The shotgun seems fun and relatively useful so far, the pistol is mostly a toy for shooting limbs off loki mechs and not seeing a point to the new AR (apart from the fact that it looks pretty cool.) - not on a soldier, anyway. Wondering if it might be handy on my Sentinel, now that the Locust has made the Vindicator less of a must-have...
  25. Mmh, even if I was particularly infatuated with the zoom after being forced to stare at the back of my character's head for three playthroughs on the PS3 (what can I say, I was bedridden for over a month), I used the full zoom only a couple of times (Branka). Still seems like a case of fixing something that wasn't broken - not on the PC, anyway.
