  1. They showed some of his dental work in a documentary (it was used to ID the body Russians later destroyed. Let's just say that it was one of the most horrible things I have ever seen. S'yeah, somebody with access to titanium implants and ceramic crowns might have indeed prevented the Holocaust and we would have had one landscape painter more. And for reference, I have seen a train suicide in progress and complete with my own eyes, as well as "enough" autopsy photos when I was a prosecutor. And none of them made me feel like old Adolf's dental work did.
  2. That game's called Max Payne.
  3. Werd. Unrelated, there was apparently an air bubble in the filling I got two weeks ago, making everything hurt like ****. Now it's fixed, and I can function again semi-normally. Related to above, Hitler apparently had really bad teeth that pained him a lot.
  4. I'm sure, I was just being a ****.
  5. It's going to be interesting to see how much "engine bleed" we are going to see in the near future. So far we have Frostbite and ID Tech which have, well, promise at least, and the publishers still using inferior/outdated tech for their other AAA titles.
  6. Nothing. This is their first project, the studio director is a former Sony studio boss with a pretty successful release under his belt. If you're too lazy to look a team up, applying the "your product is only as good as your pedigree" philosophy seems kind of... limiting.
  7. My favourite toy used to be my Lego train set. I saw a more recent incarnation on TV the last week, and almost walked into a store on the spot. http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?...n=419&d=328 OTOH, I think I still have all the old stuff stored in my dad's basement. Definitely something to do during the rest of my stipend after I finish my dissertation. :D
  8. can't read the first column on page 91, but the review starts off with such misleading content that we would be hesitant to read further anyways. you does indeed start off with badass powhaz in da2, but that lasts for all of 'bout 5 minutes before your magical interlude ends and you is returned to traditional level 1 crpg status with your single quasi-useful ability. *snort* maybe the reviewer only played the first five minutes o' the demo. heck, we only read the first half page o' his review, so we can't complain too much. HA! Good Fun! Mmh, also says the game has Securom, which has been confirmed to be false (just the review copies did).
  9. Hey monty, you might want to check out your turntable, your record's skipping.
  10. http://n4g.com/news/705260/pc-gamer-dragon...g-of-the-decade CLEARLY, they have been paid off!
  11. Well, his BAaT experiences are pretty damn close to crossing the line to whining.
  12. I did, which is why I brought it up. After all, you'll never be better than Commander Shepard. :D
  13. And, since I apparently need to elaborate things further, I'd like to point out that I might think that anyone who enjoys Bethesda RPGs is a ****tard, yet I stay out of the Skyrim thread. If I went there to proclaim this supposed opinion, I think people would be very correct in calling me an arrogant four-star. From Majek's info, I'm thinking we're gonna see a serious DLC treadmill with DA2. The "unfinishedness" of the story would suggest this, and the model adopted would enable it. Hm.
  14. YES YES, I GET IT, MY INITIAL EXPRESSION WAS INACCURATE, I SAW THE HUGE TEXT THE FIRST TIME AROUND, I meant I was wondering how the 50 % compares to, say FONV on one hand or... I meant to say CODBLOPS on the other, but I think a lot of people don't even boot into SP in those, so I dunno what another suitable comparison would be. Also, someone has to deflate the windbags. Or at least try to. p.s. And I mean, really, the "average" wasn't clear enough?!
  15. ... for games in general?
  16. Too bad I, for one, have absolutely no idea what the average completion % is.
  17. I'd say that the complete list probably qualifies as a trade secret (and I wouldn't be surprised if more than one competitor was interested in what exactly is being recorded), but here's what's been released: http://www.destructoid.com/mass-effect-2-p...ng-188362.phtml
  18. Job interview. Now mostly chilling and wondering how these kinds of events make me find entirely new muscles in my body. And they all hurt like hell.
  19. The price is... considerably, but they are some of the highest physical quality RPG books I've ever seen, IMO beating even WotC products (and they have some serious economies of scale on their side). But the price has been enough to keep me away from Rogue Trader so far, just sticking with Deathwatch and Dark Heresy so far (and will probably keep doing so). And, I'm getting my forums confused, I though I read this here, but here's the announcement for the next game in the series, Black Crusade: http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_news.asp?eidn=2014
  20. Happily, my enjoyment of things is not affected by what some arrogant **** on the internet thinks. I know it does matter to some people, one reason why some friends of mine avoid this place like the plague. So, anyway, they're now apparently running some new promo (after apparently hitting the required 1 mil downloads), this time wanting facebook "shares" or something. Not gonna contribute.
  21. If they can talk about it, they're not making it.
  22. Mostly agree, but I think DAO's ending battle was pretty decent. Mostly because of the Ballista, and having a thief repair it etc.
  23. I think it's kind of interesting that even the scar is on "the original". Well, maybe interesting isn't the right term, but...
  24. wha? and that's a good thing? It's a good thing when the enemies aren't space zombies.
