  1. Doubt it, since low-norm-high are supposed to be in-game. The x360 version is probably going to be just the "low" The patch specs for graphics cards with at least 1024mb ram.
  2. The problem is that even 1080p is starting to push the capacity of the human eye at reasonable TV sizes. I doubt I'll ever be able to fit a TV of the size required to take full advantage of that kind of resolution. Ah, but with OLED all you have to do is roll your TV onto the wall like wallpaper! I'm talking about wall space, here.
  3. I used that technique when I was a prosecutor. I gained 15 kilos in 7 months.

  5. Who says they are doing it for that reason alone? My point here is that we don't have access to all the data Bio (and other companies) have. Their decisions are formulated based on the full data, ours on just individual tidbits. To look at the individual tidbits released to us and proclaim that Bio is misinterpreting their data is arrogant at best, stupid at worst. I honestly wonder why I have to point this **** out to you. This, and so many other things I say that stamp me as "Bioware fanboy #1" should be pretty damn obvious. Maybe I should extend my one man crusade against groupthink and flawed logic into the Skyrim thread, as well. :PPPP
  6. So how exactly have we determined the Bio read their data incorrectly?
  7. If it was on the wheel, it might as well not be there. I'm gonna go armchair designer for a sec here, and say they should've had a toggle! Also, I now have a total of 7 unlocked promotions for the game. And I'm still days from being able to actually buy the game. O tempora...
  8. Looks like I misread what Jaesun was saying, didn't see the "previews" there the first time around. And yeah, I think that ranting three pages about what a game is going to be like based on a demo is stupid. In fact, I think that ranting three pages about a game is stupid, in general! Edit: High-texture pack is up: http://social.bioware.com/page/da2-patches No need to get anally probed by Bioware to get it. Too bad y'all managed to bash them already for it!
  9. Yes, we are not used to that in the obsid forums! Also, from reading the article, it's a "review" of the demo (which is why it's titled an "editorial") - he hasn't played the whole game.
  10. Those are fake: http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/10...390664&lf=8
  11. Why would this game wear out your mouse buttons?!
  12. They don't have to blow the ship up to give you a new one. That said, the upcoming DLC looks like it might give them a new excuse to do it, but... You think that desk is going to be used for typing? YOU ARE MISTAKEN!
  13. Didn't get the job I'd applied for. Placed 2nd out of 39 applicants. Quite sad, everybody seemed really nice and it looked like something I could've seen myself doing for a longer time.
  14. Tempted to make a joke about the underwear model community being apparently hit exceptionally hard, but won't in the name of good taste.
  15. Unlikely, I spend very little time there.
  16. You can see some gameplay in yesterday's dev chat: http://www.livestream.com/electronicarts/ (Drag Age 2 Dev Chat #2) I'm sure you'll enjoy looking down at it superciliously, if nothing else. For those actually interested, it shows the preorder DLC and also the combat and a little bit of how difficulty level affects it (it's not just opponents getting tougher, but changes to what the opponents are).
  17. I agree, but perhaps the reason it is out of ideas is because mainstream movies have to follow such a restrictive format. If you have to have a limited array of characters, 1.5-2 hours time, and have to end happily then what the hell can you write about? Just occurred to me... And PG-13, thus forcing a strange set of values on us, where nudity leads to immediate moral corruption and it's OK to show violence, as long as you don't show its results.
  18. Re: engine getting worse: No. /Vol channeling. Art direction could be worse this time around (because y'all were bitching about how "generic" it was, they decided to replace "generic" with butt-ugly), but with the DX11 stuff they have implemented, there's some pretty cool bits. Yeah, I don't particularly care for codifying my gaming experience. Then I'd have to be objective instead of just (subjectively) enjoy whatever I'm doing. Which pretty much describes what I do for a living now, so no, thanks.
  19. Don't sweat it. Mums just do that sort of thing occasionally. Lord knows why, but I swear they enjoy it. Yes. And no reason to worry about them being right, they'll be nagging at you no matter how well you are doing.
  20. The technology of DA2: "Dynamic lighting, pretty fire, pretty shadows, pretty shadows on the walls, pretty background" Is BW becoming the Michael Bay of video games? Bioware gets criticized for out-of-date engine in DAO. Bio fixes engine. Obs board know-it-alls now call Bio Michael Bay of video games and yet wonder why nobody makes games for them.
  21. What, do you mean that Hawke have to venture into the unknown regions of Thedas in search for ? More like
  22. Did you have headaches with this frequency before your concussion - they look weekly at the moment, and I didn't notice it before.
  23. I dunno, seemed to me like the mage spells actually had longer cooldowns than in DAO. Apart from that, your comments pretty much sum up what my feelings are (and are also why I think that the ZOMG THEY RUINED DAO!!11 seems like total bs)
